My pc says that windows does not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM. It is said it can be repaired by using the original installation CD, but we do not have. Any ideas please?
The file is missing or corrupt is one of your files in the system registry.
By far, the best way to recover from this is to go to another computer and create a free Hirens Boot CD.
Download Hirens: <> http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ > (link at the bottom of the icon of the disk)
Hirens CD burning <> http://www.hirensbootcd.org/burning/ >Once you create the CD, and then start your system of problem with this CD. In the first window, select "Mini Windows XP" and wait for the system to start. When it starts, go to the Hirens Boot CD menu and select
Register-> Registry Restore Wizard.
then follow the prompts. This wizard will return a copy of your registry database from backups that are stored with your system restore points. After the restoration, stop, remove the CD and restart. When you start your system, it is recommended to perform a system restore operation to ensure the consistency of your system

Client DHCP does not start because of the dependency
Suddenly my laptop IBM T61 Windows XP sp3 Pro link is more to my Belkin router either wired or wireless. This started after I hosted a series of Windows to perform updates. Using the command ipconfig and other signs, it seems that the DHCP process no longer occurs. Research in Non-Plug-and-Play Device Manager, I could see that there was a yellow flag next to 'netBT' which is a dependency for a number of services such as DHCP. Windows suggested I uninstall and then reinstall the netBT.sys "driver". Well, it uninstalled OK but it is now out of the list and without him in charge I'm cut network (I have a Vista laptop second Home that I use on the lookout for ideas tech). I moved a copy of netBT.sys from the SP3 i386 folder in system32\drivers to replace the old, just in case.
How to me netBT to load and work again? I spent several hours restart, activation and deactivation and anything else I could think or find Tech Tips.SOLVED. NetBT corrupt registry entry. HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\services\NetBT
After many hours of detective work, I found the idea in the journal of the events through MSCONFIG. Error type 7001 means service could not start because of a dependency (I knew that), but he went on to say "dir name or path incorrect syntax. I went into the registry and used exactly the same syntax of path as specified in "system32\DRIVERS\netBT.sys" NetBIOS and DHCP service has started.Jim in Arizona

1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
2. what exactly happens when you try to connect to a WI - FI connection?
3. you get any error message?
4. are you able to connect to the Internet by cable?
5 are. what store you referring?
6. what operating system is installed on your computer?
7. the problem occurs in safe mode with networking?
Please go ahead and follow the steps mentioned and later a update on the State of the question.
If this is a recent problem, then you can try a system restore to Normal mode or safe mode and see if it helps.
Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
To run the system restore, you can see the following link.

Windows xp does not start because of error messages
I was using my laptop, then I decided to restart windows media player coz had crashed and would not work.
I click on start.turn on computer.restart. It takes a while and it did not restart, so I click on restart again.but that she still does not restart. so I try to close and he does not either be pressed to go I hold power button to turn off and it turns off.
When I got home, I turn on my laptop, it starts to load windows normally and then goes to blue screen HP and right before going to the XP user profile selection page, this error message is displayed:
-isass.exe this application failed to initialize properly (0XC0000005)
When I click ok in the dialog box, you'll see this message:
-services.exe this application failed to initialize properly (0XC0000005)
When I click ok in the dialog box, the error isass.exe above message again and when I click ok, the services.exe above error message appears again.
so in total 4 error messages in the following order: isass.exe, services.exe, isass.exe services.exe
When I click on ok in the last error message dialog box, the blue HP screen is still there and it refuses to load the selection of the user page XP no matter how long I leave it.
How can I fix? any help would be much appreciated...Notes:
Laptop HP - that came preloaded with Xp professional edition sp2, so no XP cd.
-Cannot access all Office
-If started same error occurs in the "last known good configuration" or "safe mode".
-contacted HP for help but they were useless.
-access bios.
-mouse and keyboard is functional.Karim maher,
Thanks for posting with us. If you are able to boot mode safe mode with command prompt, and then run this command:Chkdsk /r
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315265
It is also possible that this happens if there is a registry problem. You can consult this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545
If they do not help, then you will need to use the recovery options that are available from HP to perform a repair installation or a parallel installation.

Some registry keys have been removed cleaning my computer from a virus. My program was a little too vicious in the cleaning process and remove some vital for windows key to operate. Now, whenever I start my computer, it says that it cannot, looking for the error, said that he has found and cured, then shuts down. Then I turn it back on, and it goes through the new. How can I put the key to register back where it is supposed to be without my computer turning off while I'm?
You can if you start on the installation or a recovery disc and initiate restoring of the system in the environment of these discs recovery. If you have no records, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD (although you need to drive on a computer of differentt). Then boot on the CD on the computer of the problem. You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD. To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation. Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit. Put the CD in the drive and reboot. When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.
The disk does not usse the computer OS so it does not matter if the system does not normally or in safe mode. He must always use the disk and these options should still be available from the disk. Among the options on the disk, you can try the system restore and if that does not work then you can try the Startup Repair. There are other options, we can try from the disc, but let's just try these for starters.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Win 7 32 bit wudfsvc service does not start because the wudfpf driver is not loaded
Hello
I'm unable to connect USB devices like camera and phone the driver installation fails. The error can not remember (logging this from another machine) but something like "service not loaded or marked for deletion. Concluded that the Wudfsvc service is not started, even if it is marked as automatic. When I try to run it manually I get an error. Looking at the event log indicated that the dependent wudfpf driver is not loaded. I looked, and the driver is it physically in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers. Not sure where to go from here.
Thank you
Can you open regedit and navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\WudfPf
In this key, in the right window, is an ImagePath value
Are the data for ImagePath what follows? :
system32\drivers\WudfPf.sys

My laptop A Satellite does not start because of missing files
I have a Toshiba Satellite and at the beginning of each month is * out.
I brought everything new about 2 years ago and at the beginning of each month it will not enter windows.
It won't let me even in safe mode or anything and it is not a virus I expected to * out tonight. So I did a virus scan and nothing came and then half an hour later he died, right to the calendar. I m sick of what each time he dies, I have to use the recovery disk and it erases everything. I got there and after 2 years of having to restart all over again each month. I m ready to 'accidentally' fall into the pool and seek assurances on the dam thing. I put t get me wrong its great until the first of every month and without warning, he's just really slow, and when I restart it, it says a file is missing and won't boot to the top.
The strange thing is... it's always the same time of the month and which is today the 4th he died so to I m on my 8s computer typing this while my Toshiba restarts again.
IF you think THAT YOU CAN TELL me WHY THIS IS HAPPING I'll love you forever.
I m so sick of having to reload everything and as last month, I expected him to kill himself. Then I did all the tests and cleaned.
But no it's dead even right on the planning... hmm please helpIt's really hard to say what's wrong, but in my opinion it could be a hardware issue
The point is that the laptop should run without problem after clean operating system installation.
If it s not the case, hardware problem is possibleIn my opinion the HARD drive and modules of memory must be checked first

Cannot start Windows XP with tips screen error to remove the anti-virus, Defragmenter and support utilities. equipment checked 'pass '. is not disk to start and save data files.
my laptop is a COMPAQ Presario V2000 (p/n PV898AV) with the WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL product key:
Recently, I used a lot of Yahoo E-mail and made an email with an attachment that carries a local .org Logo and my personal autobiography for an education program. WORD files can contain certain campaigns policy materials and opinions who are information news and views. 20.11.2011 when I turned on the computer, he had immediate control by NT. F flow and State on 'a problem' with files and folders, and there wasn't enough 'space' to correct the error. Subsequently, an error screen appears alternating with the DISPLAY of COMMAND CHECK OS. I tried F8, F10, F12 keys to do all that necessary. He kept going back to the SCREEN of COMMAND VERIFIER 0s. Tried safe mode... and all the list.
The error on the technical information screen * arrested... some our I has not registered (help if I declare these figures?)
He said if power failure, restart your computer. If the screen kept appearing, he said: Use CHKDSK /F to remove the antivirus... support... and defrag utilities. check the configuration of the hard drive etc. I have used Tools Setup F12 for self-test on hard, he said 'PASS '.
I don't have the Setup disk or checkdisk with me on this trip trip, it will be 5 months later to get there. However, I just buy this mini laptop HP and take advantage of this great PC. However, I miss the old one and want to save this data.
can I change the values of the ease of CONFIGURATION to start the Windows? or, when I used the F10.., it runs the n... Open timeout (how to use it to help me remove the files/programs); safe mode with command prompt also failed. What command line?
Please inform how to start the new WINDOWS XP that says to protect my files (I hate the overprotection in this area of the Hong KONG SAR but too pirates too, people are confused as ' ell) Thank YOU.
Hi Cann2011,
You must have an installation disc. Until and unless that disk is not available, we cannot go further to fix the problem.

I have a HP C5180 printer. Just replaced ink Magenta cartridge about 2 weeks ago. Printer does not print not even black only because of the alert, saying that the light blue and magenta cartridges are expired and can damage the printer if continue to use. What is everything?
Contact HP for more details on what it's all about. Go to their Web site, go to the help area and support, enter the model number of your printer and away from the search. It is not a Windows problem and you or Microsoft can do that will fix it.
