Adobe Apps lists as "uninstalled" even if they are indeed installed - are they always updated?

Hi all

Maybe it's because I have two Adobe - IDs. One for my work (the range) and one for my private use ("photographer" - suite;) Photoshop and Lightroom).

My concern is this: since Creative Cloud Desktop does not know what I installed could not auto-update as it should.

This is what it looks like: even if I have Lightroom and Photoshop installed, Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop insists that I should install them. This is what the window looks like when loged with my credentials to work there (note: I have Lightroom, Photoshop and installed first):

And that's when I am loged with my private email:

Note that none of the 'users' could detect my existing Lightroom and Photoshop. But only one could detect the first app. And two of them spotted the Media Encoder for some reason any.

So my question is; is there anyway I can fix this without uninstalling/re-installing Lightroom / Photoshop? (I don't want to since I put a ton of preferences and presets in Lightroom that I don't want to lose, and similarly in Photoshop).

You will not have to uninstall the applications, but I suggest you use an e-mail address on a single machine.

    Thank you for your message.  Try the following steps to add your printer.
    Click "Start" > select "printers and faxes".
    Click on 'Add printer' > click 'Next' > select ' local printer, and then make sure that detect automatically is disabled
    Select "Create a new Port" and the arrow down to "Standard TCP/IP Port" > click "next".
    Click "next".
    Type the IP address and click on 'Next' > 'Finish '.
    You must then install the driver/software for your device.  You can use "Have Disk", download from website, or find your model.

  • Cloning hard drive, CC and Adobe Apps will work if I need to restore a clone?

    Hi, I am currently setting up a new Mac and intend to install my Adobe Apps through creative cloud. Installing all my software can take a long time, when I have downloaded all my apps I want to make a backup image of the hard drive of my Mac on a USB drive to give me an option to quickly restore a pure install my snack programs nothing is ever bad. My Adobe apps still work with that or they will stop working if I ever need to restore my clone image?

    Image streams a via Linux bootable CD (the Zip that you download includes a program to make the bootable CD) and it reads EVERYTHING on the disk, even the information hidden, so everything is restored when necessary... and you can restore a disk image new in case of crash and no duty re - install anything

    I don't know what to do. One of my adobe applications gives the same error:

    Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

    The above-mentioned tech support person was a test account, he did and has spent a lot of time doing stuff with all permissions to the adobe files. Finally he got it so at least to launch illustrator, then immediately crash. He just left without a job too shortly after.

    Caps folder contains the database as Cache.db, media, db, pdb.db file that contains information about the installation of applications on the system and other essential data, in some cases if the files are corrupt, it is essential to remove the record of caps.

    Once you remove the record of caps, CC app will list Apps with button install because there is no information concerning the installation of the CC apps because the Media.db file will be deleted with it.

    In this case, it is preferable that you uninstall applications that is not listed as up to Date and being listed with button install, even if it is already installed.

    OK, I'm furious. I tried to sync some fonts and realized that I had to run CC app. I find that it is no longer loads and Adobe solution is to 'uninstall' CS5 apps. Seriously! I trust AI CS5 because it works better than any of the Illustrator programs later, IMHO.

    Now I am at a crossroads, and I drop the best AI ever made Adobe app or sacrifice for "compatibility" with the losers? I'm more than a little ticked right now.

    You need not uninstall CS5 to launch the CC app.

    If you have not tried steps below, try it once:

    Launch the activity monitor and the force quit all associated Adobe process as well as processes such as installation, Setup, PDAPP if installation running.

    N ° 1)

    Click on the Finder and search options listed next to icon located Apple in the upper left of the screen and click on the "Go" menu button and select 'utilities '.

    (Applications > Utiliites)

    Look for a CC Adobe and Adobe Application Manager folder under utility window and trash both folders.

    Step 2)

    Trash Adobe Creative cloud folder from Applications as well.

    Step 3)


    (1) right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select the option "Go-ToFolder .

    (2) you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '. (Don't miss ~ symbol)

    (1) right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select 'Go - To' folder.

    (2) you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '.

    (3) then navigate to Application Support > Adobe.

    Open file Adobe and trash folders named AAMUpdater ,Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.

    Step 5)

    Click on the link below and download & run the cleaning of Adobe tool:

    Select the option "Adobe Application Manager for Mac OS X 10.6" and click on ""clean Selected " ."

    Step 6)

    Click on the link below and download Adobe Application Manager and install the same:

    Once installation is complete, niche is going disappear, and then open the Application folder and locate the icon to launch Adobe Application manager, double-click it and update.

    Once the update is complete. He shud launch Adobe Creative Cloud app.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud desktop issues. Virgins, will not re-install/uninstall, in a frustrating loop...

    I am stuck in a loop here:

    The application of CC desktop does not show anything in the window and I can not access its tools.

    After several restarts and attempts to restore the 'connection' with in the desktop app I tried the following:

    (1) downloaded to install again the CC desktop application, I get an error about 1/2 on the way through the configuration "Set - up Creative cloud has stopped working".

    (2) then I tried to uninstall, it says: I can't do it without uninstalling my 'creative Cloud applications' (Photoshop and Lightroom)

    (3) I try and uninstall CC Photoshop or Lightroom CC and they give me error that says "Adobe Application Manager is required to solve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy... «, following this link and instructions later leads me to have download the CC desktop application, which will not install...» (return to step 1)

    I think you get the picture...

    The PS and LR run, just will not be able to update or use other features CC from the desktop application until it is resolved.

    How in fact re - install the desktop application (which seems to be damaged) so my CC Desktop applications are working again (able to update etc...).

    Help with this would be much appreciated.

  • FF28 upgrade & all the addons are showing that off, even if they are enabled

    Upgrade to FF28 & addons all + userscripts show that disabled, even if they are enabled.

    I already tried to delete:
    addons. JSON
    Compatibility.ini
    Extensions.ini
    Extensions. JSON
    Extensions.SQLite

    All that done as a cause of Firefox go in a "reboot several times 50 times more than one by one and each time asked me to manually install each addon. The process took more than 5 minutes and left me very impressed by the ability of Firefox bugs.

    End result? I am still sitting with the same problem. All the addons are showing that off, when they are turned on in fact. I cannot change them, uninstalled them or install new addons.

    PS. Oh and I write of Sleipnir not Firefox because Firefox has refused to work with the buttons on this page for some reason any (yes I'm allowing scripts in NoScript)
    PPS. Oh and my old account here for some reason some refused to open a session, even though I wrote the user name and password and I tried using the user AND email for the login process. Overall, very impressed with the services of Mozilla for now. I really want to move to a different browser.
    PPP. I have over 300 tabs open in Firefox, so can't go on the road to reset, because Firefox has no way to record a session.

    Honestly, Firefox must be transportable by default. What the point of having a browser that you spent 12 months + customization with 300 + tabs open, if your Windows partition is damaged and you cannot retrieve your tabs because it is installed? I will never use the installed version of Firefox again because it is impossible to save. If I had been using portable Firefox at the time where I could have accessed my XP partition corrupted with Ubuntu live USB, back up the folder and be good to go on my new install of Windows 8. Instead I had to start from scratch. That's what you get for not using of portable software.

    This is resolved. The steps that I followed:

    1. Ignore all the Internet advice and find a way to do it myself because no one else seems to know anything about Firefox.
    2. Save the entire Firefox portable folder making it a 7zip file
    3. Disable all addons
    4. Download the latest mobile Installer
    5. Install using the portable Installer but navigate up to the existing installed cell phone directory
    6. Open portable Firefox after updating
    7. Update all addons (do not select all again)
    8. Restart Firefox
    9. Now activate the addons, then restart Firefox

    Note: installing addons now I find that I can't add using the button 'Download' for the addon, I have to copy the URL of the button, paste it in a new tab and press enter
