Adobe Bridge cs6 - Photo Downloader 10.11 OSX cannot connect to the camera Canon

Hallo,

Since I installed OSX10.11 (El Capitan) Photo Downloader (CS6) did not find my Canon EOS 5 d Mark 2 more. If I use 'Photo' of Apple the cameras will be connected and with the original Canon software it works, too. But in my workflow, I use Adobe and I hope that the problem can be solved. Someone else has the same problem?

Thanks for help.

  • Never used Photoshop CS6 or Adobe Bridge CS6, on my drive. Their trash before using CC?

    I am a photographer.

I've never used Photoshop CS6 or Adobe Bridge CS6, that are on my disk. I used Apple's Aperture software instead.

    (a) I have do I their trash before you download CC (I see no feature uninstaller for them)? and,

    (b) bridge come separately from the plan $9.90?

Within the CC Office application should be and option to uninstall CS6.

If this is not the case, go to Hard Drive/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6 and see if it is actually installed.

  • Uninstalling Adobe Bridge CS6 after installing Adobe Bridge CC

I had all my Adobe apps on my MacBook Air through the new Adobe's Cloud service. At this time, all applications were Adobe CS6. When I saw that Adobe Bridge CC was available, I downloaded it immediately. I had problems with Adobe Bridge CS6 to work on my Adobe Photoshop CS6. After you install Adobe Bridge CC, I have not found the application uninstaller from Adobe Bridge CS6. I found two copies of the uninstaller for Adobe Bridge CC. Where can I get a copy of the program for uninstalling Adobe Bridge CS6 for Mac?

Vizzpat there is no uninstaller for Adobe Bridge CS6.  Adobe Bridge CS6 is installed by various applications.  When these requests have all been deleted then Bridge CS6 will be deleted as well.

In general, you can locate the uninstaller for Mac OS programs in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  You can also find additional information about installing and removing applications to install and update the apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.

  • It is possible to run Adobe Bridge CS6 on my Toshiba 32 bit?, I don't know why, but when I try to run this program, then the DEP blocks Adobe Bridge, what's the problem?

Adobe Bridge CS6 on my Toshiba 32 bit?, I don't know why, but when I try to run this program, then the DEP blocks Adobe Bridge, what's the problem?

This means that the program will use the incorrect memory or he is attacked by hackers or virus. See if there is an updated version.

To allow the program to function in any case type DEP in the Start menu - Help and Support.

    Change Data Execution Prevention settings

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that protects against viruses and other security threats by analyzing your programs to make sure that they use the system safely memory.

If you choose to protect all programs, you can always turn off DEP for individual programs. If you think that a program does not run correctly when DEP is enabled, check for a compatible version of the DEP program or an update from the software publisher before you change your DEP settings.

    1. Click to open the system.

    2. Click Advanced system settings.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. Under performance, click settings.

    4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

To turn off DEP for an individual program

      • Select the check box next to the program that you want to turn off DEP for and then click OK.

If the program is not in the list, click Add. Navigate to the Program files, search for the executable file of the program (it will have the .exe extension) and then click Open.

To turn on DEP for an individual program

      • Clear the check box next to the program that you want to turn on DEP for and then click OK.

created by Curt Y in the General Discussion of bridge - see complete discussion

You can search for an external drive if the operating system permissions are OK.  Bridge, however, will not look on different drives.

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 Mac cannot be launched

    Dear Adobe community!

I just installed my new CS6 Design & Web Premium Suite on my MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.3 and installed all the updates that are available for CS6.

Unfortunately I can't launch Bridge (version 5.0.2.4) of my account (admin privileges) - after double clicking on the icon of the application window appears for just a fraction of a second and I get a saying of pop-up window, something like "could not be successfully" (I'm under a German language version).

-Try to launch Bridge from PS results in the same error message.

-Rampage the Bridge preferences file has not changed anything.

-From bridge with down option and force reset all default settings doesn't change anything.

-Start my Mac in SafeMode (SHIFT key at startup) doesn't help.

But create a new user on my single Mac user to launch the bridge when connected to this new account.

I'd be more than happy to receive some useful comments from the experts here!

    Oliver

    Updated - problem finally solved!

    What happened between the two:

I started a chat session with one of the Adobe support guys. He said that the cause of the failure was probably a conflict with the permissions.

After that I told him that I had tried to fix the permissions several times by unsuccessfully Apple disk utility he suggested to copy the following file / directory of my 'Test' newly created user (under the direction of which bridge could be launched without effort):

    [username]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.bridge5.0.plist

    and the whole directory

    [user name] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CS6

If that would not solve my problem, there was no other "cure" for my problem due to an irreparable permission conflict.

After that, I logged in as the new user 'Test' and copied the mentioned files / directory on a separate drive, connected to the back as my standard user (account where bridge refused to start) and he replaced the files I had exported just before.

Result: Same problems - bridge refused to start as before.

    Dang...

Therefore, there is no way to solve this problem as I said Adobe?

Assuming that the problem of the current permission has been the cause of my problem of bridge, I decided to 'force' the permissions:

I went OS X Finder, marked the home directory of my problematic account, typed cmd + I to open the Info window, went to the bottom section where the permissions are listed, wnet to the Group of users "admin" and marked this group as "read and write" (it was read only before!) and chose the option to apply theses settings to all subdirectories and files (icon with the gear wheel).

Once the changes in an application I rebooted my Mac and logged in as my user standard and open Bridge:

Bridge began, but showed the subdirectories of my account 'Test '. So I stopped bridge, deleted the file com.adobe.bridge5.0.plist of my standard account, restarted my Mac - and voila - works of bridge like a charm!

Finally I wouldn't say that there is no 'plan B '...

Maybe this workaround may be useful for someone out there!

    Kind regards

    Oliver

  • Navigate in Adobe Bridge CS6 - by default for the 64-bit version

I have Adobe Bridge CS6 32-bit and 64-bit installed. I prefer to use the 64-bit version, but when I right click on a folder in Windows Explorer and choose 'Browse in Adobe Bridge CS6', always opens the 32-bit version. How can I do this by default for the 64 bit version? It doesn't seem to be a way to uninstall the 32-bit version.

    Editing your system registry on:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Bridge

Change the path that points to the 32-bit version and set it to point to the location of the 64-bit version:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS6 (64 Bit) \Bridge.exe '% '.
