  • How to export reliable 708 captions of the premier adobe?

Hello, I'm TV video recording with 608 and 708 on a blackmagic hyperdeck captions.  I import these files into the timeline of Adobe Premier.  On the timeline, I can easily view the legends of the 608 and 708.  If I export a Quicktime movie ' captions embedded "the final result will have only 608 captions inside.  The last attempt, I did export a .mxf had the same problem.  I try again, but this time I deleted all the other legend titles outside the 708 caption track, but that seems just silly, and something I wouldn't need to do.  If I recorded media with tracks separated from 608 and 708 legend already, how reliable export with embedded captions 708 media?  It is very important for broadcasting and exporting media for broadcasting. What would be truly spectacular, is if someone could please tell me how I can export a HD video file with 708 AND 608 existing legends who are already riding with her anyway, be they in the form of files sidecar or incorporated.  My main concern is now how to export just the media I have with the existing 608 and 708 captions in HD now 708 captioning, 608 as well would be a great bonus.  I would like that they export to 'shipped '.  Thanks in advance.

Hello there - although the BODY may import streams of legend 608 and 708 in MOV, specification of Apple QuickTime MOV we cannot write 708 captions to the MOV format. That's why you will write only steam 608 out of body to MOV. You can embed captions 608 and 708 in format MXF with body - but I know that maybe it's not a solution for your needs. Take care!

  • captioning in adobe first CC

I need to subtitle my mounting inside the timeline sequence (90 minutes). (Just informal submarines for a quick translation during the editing process)

Using the title tool is very unconvinient, because I create and save each new title...

Using the tool of captioning, my main problems are:

    (a) I can't change the font of the securities

    (b) I would like to set the length of the titles within the timeline (as possible in Avid or FCP) because adjusting them in the tool of legends aren't very exact and unconvinient.

Workflow plug-ins or suggestions how to have a rapid process of captioning within the tool mounting or legends in adobe first CC?

    Thank you

Hi Clara, you can quickly do one title after the other based on the current design in the Titler by choosing:

New title based on the current title

Alternatively you can Alt + click - move an existing title in the timeline, which copies the title as a new in your window project as well, and your track
I think that's what you try to reach the right?

-This will also give you a new title with a different name (for example copies 1, 2, etc.)

-also, it is fast and you can drag the new title right where you want from the beginning.

This was added in CC 7.0.1. So be sure you are up-to-date.

    .. .and keep smiling.

  • Hide the caption only when the content of the field is empty for an Adobe form field

    Hi all

We try to hide only the caption of a field if the content of the field is empty.

    (a) the following code allows you to hide all cru (the entire field including the legend). What we should change the code to hide the legend?

    -------------------------------------------------------

    If (this.) RawValue is nothing)

    {

    This.Presence = "hidden".

    }

    -------------------------------------------------------

    (b) another option would be to use the conditional formatting-> change of text in the caption to the text color white, if the content of the field is empty to make it invisible on print.

Are there options available ALD or code that must be used to achieve one of the options above?

    Thank you in advance!

    Kind regards

    Roy

    Modify the script to:

    If (this.) RawValue is nothing)

  • How can I have the file name as visible caption on the photo

I have several hundred digital images that I have edited and saved with a meaningful file name.  I would like to produce a slide show and then burn to DVD with the name of the file as a legend, preferably (but not necessarily) without the file name extension (for example, my photo.jpg would show as 'my picture').

I (Pinnacle Studio) software that will import photos or DVD, and I'll create my slide show with Studio, since I am familiar with this software, but the Studio does not automatically create captions.  Re-type the captions for each slide will be intensive work and maybe isn't necessary.  I have a couple of programs that will produce a legend using the file name, but they are old and do not have an option to burn a DVD - only to run the slide show from the software owner.  I also Ulead FT 6 and Adobe PS Elements 6.  I am running Vista and have another computer with XP, so I have the photo editing software that comes with those.  I haven't found something that will prepare a folder of photos by file name as legend I can burn on a DVD.

searching on the Internet I found a few programs for sale that seem to have the ability to do what I want, but I have hundreds of programs, and I don't want to buy another for only this seemingly simple task.  There are shareware/freeware/trialware which will allow me to display the file name as captions for photos and then burn a DVD or create a file that I can burn it with Nero for import into Studio 12 or 14 Studio?

  • How is it that Turner Classic Movies (home cable TV) come with captioning, but whenever the same movies are available online (e.g., YouTube), the cc is not always available?

    ONLINE CAPTIONING

Please explain how is it that about 90 percent of Turner Classic Movies (home cable TV) come with closed captioning, but whenever the same movies are available online (e.g., YouTube), the cc is still unavailable?  Then, of course, there is the possibility of using the Google auto-transcription, which is a sequence of words scrambled for the most part, although I appreciate Google constantly trying to improve the technology on the Internet...  Does anyone know a website of classic movies where appropriate captioning is available?

    Thank you very much.

    Hey Joe,

I suggest you look for the classic movie with subtitling site coded using the closed your favorite search engine.

  • Photo captions

I want to add captions under pictures - found a program (photo caption) but McAfee said it was precarious. Are there other programs?

Well, you certainly have a lot of options.  You could get technical with Microsoft Paint application, but it would be tedious and it is difficult to position the picture and the text (for example, if you want to center the text in the caption box).

I did something like that using PowerPoint.  You can drag the image in a slide blank PowerPoint, your title below the post.  You can copy the first slide that make you all others look alike and are compatible.  And then when you are finished, click file > export > file Type and choose to export it as a series of pictures to get the final versions all saved.

But you can also use a program like Adobe PhotoShop, or even free photo editing the expensive image editing software. While not really a photo editor, I think it would be easier to do in PowerPoint, everything simply because you can make a template of sorts for each of them are the same.

  • First PC Closed Caption CC

    Hey everybody,

I'm trying to find out what codec in adobe first CC on PC can only use more close to XDCam HD422 MPEG to 50Mbps with captioning incorporated?  Here's what the network request but HD422 is not on my first (CC 2014, 2015 CC) version

    FAVORITE HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO FORMAT:

    1080i-

XDCam HD422 MPEG to 50Mbps, MXF container,

1125 line, 59,94 fields or 29.97 frames per second according to the standard SMPTE 274 M, SMPTE 260 M

Chroma subsampling format must be 4:2:2.

    16: 9 aspect ratio, 1.778:1

The active video structure must be portrait of 1080 lines and 1920 pixels horizontal, consistent with SMPTE 274M: 2008 example of Structure of Image 1920 x 1080,

Ads should complete the full format 16:9 HDTV format. It is better SD content originates is converted and consisting of 16:9, as appropriate.

    GOP: m = 3, n = 15

    Profile / Level 422P@HL,.

    8-bit depth

    Business model: OP1A

    Captioning: EIA - 708 b/EIA-608E for DTV, VAN line 9. Included in the format 1920 x 1080.

I use MXF OP1a: XDCAM HD 50 NTSC 60i, but they cannot see the subtitle when incorporated, I go to legend export options and select embedded, but they still do not see the computer.

    Thank you for helping me!

We use those exact settings required at the level of the network, I work at and legends get shipped off the coast of live food.

For these specifications, when you export select XDCAM HD NTSC 60i preset, then inside the video codec settings select XDCAMHD NTSC (4:2:2). You can't choose the 4:2:2 option, but you have other parameters on export xdcam?

I can't test it at the moment I don't remember ever having a problem exporting them, but I could be wrong. It's been a while since I exported captioning. Maybe try to use the two media encoder and directly out of the first test?

Also, when you import your export can show captions chose the CEA-708 standard?

  • Need help for the button to trigger on the text caption effect

    Hello world

    on a Mac (chart below)

    Screen Shot 2016-04-13 at 12.53.04 PM.png

I'm very new to Captivate (only my second week), but am familiar in other Adobe programs. I'm trying to get a dynamic object that I made in a button to trigger an effect on a text caption. I scrolled the forums here and tried various things of the advanced actions for just using the drop down menus in the property inspector and nothing that I tried gives me the result I want.

Here is a screenshot of what I'm working with.

    Screen Shot 2016-04-13 at 12.54.37 PM.png

What I want to do is for the arrows for the buttons (and they are currently). When the slide appears first I don't want that image and the arrows visible. So when the user clicks on the arrow, I want the effect I chose (spiral) that will be triggered with the corresponding text.

Looks like my property for each caption Inspector (the names are different for each)

    Screen Shot 2016-04-13 at 12.58.03 PM.png

And I also tried to write a few advanced Actions that follow as well as tutorials that I found online, and nothing gives me what I want.

When I preview the slide I can see everything on entry and then when I click the button to apply the effect. I rechecked the advanced actions and usually when I try these nothing happens at all.

Is - it there anyway that I can get that works this way, I'm wanting. It seems that it should be simple and I'm right on it.

The shape of buttons are all pause at this moment, it's OK.

I just tried it out and see what you mean. The text is there from the beginning, and that shouldn't be the case. you expect it not to appear when the button is clicked. I have never used this spiral effect myself, but since you have no control over it, I mean you can't see where starts the effect at all, there is no visible path you have with the other effects of the entry. Either, you need to create a custom, effect whose path begins with text outside the scene, or a combination of an Alpha to + a standard entrance effect.

Tried the first one with a simple left to a straight path. I edited the paths so that they all start at the same position horizontal and end at the same horizontal position. So happy with the leaders and Guides that we finally got in Captivate, they are very useful for this type of design:

    It's the chronology:

In the Project menu, right mouse click window - create a new element - subtitle.

This is not present in the menu! Its normal for its first version?

It's only available in first Pro CC feature.  CS6, you use a third-party tool to create closed captioning. You have a few choices - there are two commercial products I have used and to know, to create the sidecar closed captioning files that can be used in the BODY and follow the standards of the industry for CC: Telestream is a design program called "MacCaption" for MAC and "Caption Maker" to WIN. In addition, a German company (www.zeitanker.com) makes a program called "Annotation edit".

  • Captioning in Premiere Pro like medieval torture... why, at this time?

So, here am I, a videographer from the opera (and the editor in Chief). My task: take the PowerPoint file that the company used as surtitles (above the stage) and make subtitles with it. Wow! First - I've used for the past eight years-allowed just creation of subtitles! Looks for a match in the sky! Well well... None. The editor is a) intuitive, b) no interactive and c) all just stupid in its design. I put my first legend - this is Act 3 LA BOHÈME the sweep of entry "Hey there, guards! Open the door! "After going through hoops (create track legend, add to the timeline, add text in a dialog box) I see little boxes that I created... I can move them? No. I have to add THE TIME CODE to the dialog box and how long it should be displayed by intuition, NOT BY EYE. If I'm a good boy, she will show where I have to say. I can drag handles (there are the handles but my torturer at the Adobe engineering service decided I can't use them) to change the width? No, in 2016, which is too ask. It works like something designed for Windows 2.2. The team working on this thing heard of WYSIWYG? The rest of this program is designed to be visually adjusted. THIS is not the case. I'm sick. Do I really out of this DVD and design caption/subtitle tracks in Encore CS6 which has a Publisher better than this piece of disgust?

Now, imagine this scenario: I just make beautiful videos of 4K (more a Livestream of new year) eight performances. I'd use the same piece of legend and to refine the legends visually to adapt to fluctuations of tempo and different breaks that four different casts of the opera (4 sopranos play Mimi, 3 playing Musetta, 4 tenors singing Rodolfo, 3 baritones Marcello singing in different performances) to different shows (they are not robots and the timings are different in various shows). I am paralyzed by this horrible thing.

    ElJayBronx wrote:

So, here am I, a videographer from the opera (and the editor in Chief).

Nice to meet you ElJayBronx.  I am a programmer for hearing and creation. Before Adobe, I had recorded many operas while in school and my internship working on broadcasts of the Vienna Staatsoper.  So, I have an appreciation for what you do.  Are what company you satisfied to opera?

My task: take the PowerPoint file that the company used as surtitles (above the stage) and make subtitles with it. Wow! First - I've used for the past eight years-allowed just creation of subtitles! Looks for a match in the sky!

First took the opportunity to burned in subtitles for years via the titration module.  In a recent update of creative cloud, we have added the option burn-in captions to export.  I guess the latter is what you are referring.

The editor is a) intuitive, b) no interactive and c) all just stupid in its design.

If you speak on the Panel of legends that is used to modify or retarget the subtitles encoded, I want to give some information.  A few years ago I and others on the team were charged with creating a workflow for customers of broadcast on this day that someone could edit video in first Pro, without having closed captions (usually embedded in the video signal) fell on the ground.  There are different ways some NLE do that, but in our customer research, we found that many broadcasters also wanted to change pre-existing of captioning.  Usually, this should be a Retiming or maybe fixing a spelling error.  We never had the intention that there be a solution for people to manually enter many captions (or subtitles) from scratch.  However, we wanted to give some of the features that could make some minor changes.  Every year at the NAB Show, I was really surprised by the number of people who go into the voting booth and say, they created subtitles via this Panel from scratch.  My eyes open usually wide as does my jaw. I tell them something along the lines "wow, it must be painful', to which they respond with the assertion but also to point out that he avoids them having to buy dedicated (and expensive) captioning software.

I put my first legend - this is Act 3 LA BOHÈME the sweep of entry "Hey there, guards! Open the door! "After going through hoops (create track legend, add to the timeline, add text in a dialog box) I see little boxes that I created... I can move them? Again, the intent of the closed captioning stream was for content that was already captioned.  I agree with you that it makes sense to have subtitles on the real movable clip markers, as clip markers are (hence the similar user interface).  However, I will point out that you can actually do this by editing the normal timeline.  You can actually razor the clip with the legends and make your move and cutting in this way. Once I show this to video editors, they usually pick up on it immediately and workaround is not so painful.  As a reminder, by slide and hack subtitle markers on a clip: a painful tease that's going nowhere slide and hack the captioning of the clips themselves, however, is as fluid as it is elsewhere in the timeline.

The team working on this thing heard of WYSIWYG?

    Yes.

The rest of this program is designed to be visually adjusted. THIS is not the case.

We weren't able to do a WSIWYG implementation due to the complexity of the way in which the coded subtitles are encoded. It relies on technology from the beginning of the 1980s (late of the 1970s for Teletext for PAL) and has many limitations that makes things connecting to a harder visual interface.  Can it be done? Yes. Wouldn't be a lot of work? Without a doubt.

Do I really out of this DVD and design caption/subtitle tracks in Encore CS6 which has a Publisher better than this piece of disgust?

If your result is a DVD or Blu - Ray, which might be a better choice than the current workflow of captioning in first.  The callback functions are designed so that it looks like you are trying to reach.

The subtitles in Encore CS6 Editor is much better than that.

Please try to chop the subtitle clips themselves as described above. You can resynchronize than elsewhere everything as if you were to sync up to an audio clip in the timeline panel.

WHO DESIGNED THIS THING AND WHY THEY STILL HAVE JOBS?

I did as well as some other team.  I always go to the office every day because the work is not done, and I am pleased to have an impact on the work done for our customers.

    It's disgusting. Please fix.

Noted. I can't talk publicly about the plans for future work, but be aware that many of us on the team to read your message here as well as your email that went through the tech support escalation process.

    Charles

P.S. I would like to see the work you do with the first. I'm not interested in criticizing it, but I would like to see it because the last measures of the 4th act in La Bohème still gives me chills.
