Adobe customer service is the worst I have ever known.

I recently bought a new computer which has windows 7 64 bit.  I had Acrobat 8 and installed on the new machine.  Everything worked fine, but I had to reinstall the OS to the factory settings because it would freeze at least once a day.  When I reinstalled AA8 I couldn't create more pdf files, pdf and pdf add-ins printer would not work.  I sent a request for technical support by e-mail and told me that AA8 is not supported in Windows 7.  The fact that it worked the first time was just a stroke of luck, they said.  I upgraded to AA9 and know that I can not open several documents in the same window.  I read the comments and see that Adobe has said that they are working on a fix in 2008.  I'm guessing that the fix will be released in AA10 and we can all pay to upgrade again.  I called Adobe to see what was the status of the correction and after pressing the selection of automated phone appropriate to talk to someone about a problem using AA9 I was transferred to a facility support tech who couldn't help me.  She me then transferred to the correct Department, only for me to hear a recording that they are now closed.  All this happened the day after the day where I spent 3 hours on hold with technical support and no one has ever answered the phone.  I think I'll look for another program and get a refund on this upgrade.

You can check out some of the posts here about using AA8 and Win7, but you will probably need to be updated at least 8. 1. part of the problem is probably the X 64 platform, but it does not help your problem. We hope you are out some of your system here. We are just users with similar frustrations with the personal support is how many of us found here in the first place. Your comment is so not a surprise.     I use creative cloud membership. And I fails to cancel the membership. I use google chrome and firefox to access my account, but when I opened 'manage plan' to cancel, there is always a 404 error.

    So I try to contact the customer service team, but there is no any direct e-mail contact, only forum and phone number, no cat. I post in the forum and that answer only Member me, not the adobe staff.

    We, customer, pay US $ 33/month to get a very bad customer service. I use many online services and Adobe seems the worst customer service I've experienced up to now.

    I am the holder of the registration for the software and had previously installed. I replaced my system and you need to reinstall all my software.  have software, boxes and serial in my possession. Previously, I was directed to ctl + shft + dble left click to receive a challenge code that was provided to the Adobe representative, Customer Service which in turn provide a response code that would allow my software to record properly.

    Can someone direct me to please a live agent to help me past this obstacle, or give directions for the same.

    Tried new support chat online and found an individual who understood exactly what to do.

    For any other person with the same problem, here's what to do:

    1. Enter the serial number of the upgrade of the software (look for the green check mark)
    2. Select the product calling and enter the serial number of eligible product
    3. Software either active or generates an error message. If the error message, go to step 4
    4. Hit (ctrl + Shift + Double click left) - which launches the sequence of stimulus / response as follows:
    5. system creates a code of challenge you will need to provide Adobe with a customer service representative
    6. Adobe customer service will provide you with a response code that perfectly complements the software activation

    I had to replace my hard drive and so I had to reinstall Premiere Pro CS4. I tried to do with the files that I had downloaded before, but the installation failed and gave me the error message "the Installer database is corrupt. Please contact Adobe Customer Service.

    I assumed that the files I downloaded have become corrupted, so I opened a session and re-uploaded the files ADBEPPROCS4_LS7.7z and ADBEPPROCS4_LS7.exe. I ran ADBEPPROCS4_LS7.exe and it also failed and gave me the same error message. I tried another download on a different page and got the same error again.

    Can anyone suggest what I can do to get my program installed?

    Sounds like you are trying to install with the ORIGINAL serial number provided with your product rather than the NEW one with the download.

    Adobe do support the last two versions (10 and 11) so if they have knowledge of 7 at all it's just a lucky accident...!

    Furthermore, I hope that you install on an old computer to Windows XP, because you won't get far in Windows 7 or Windows 8 with this version...

    Can you please help me understand why when I call your customer service about the pricing and digital publishing suite that not a single soul in this building knows something about products within the company they work.  It's absolutely ridiculous.

    Since the "new pricing" came into force... we were always having charged at the old rate. We tried to get this rectified with someone at Adobe, but of course you make it impossible to actually talk to someone in North America.

    We have an invoice number, an order number, number, customer number on contracts, to charge the number...

    all these numbers but still... no phone number to actually talk to someone to answer questions about the billing. It is even not a phone number on the invoice that you send me.


    You should be ashamed.

    You call the customer service number? The line of support in company (formerly named gold) is on the first page of the DPS dashboard? Or the General line of Adobe support?

    Email and the password will be the security of your computer, not something for all Adobe products.  You may need to consult the Mac clients if you are unable to determine the required information.
