Adobe Help Viewer not installed?

I recently upgraded from InDesign CS5 to InDesign CS6 on a desktop PC running Windows 7. I bought it via a download from Adobe.

When I try to use InDesign help under the Help menu, nothing happens for about 10 seconds, and finally, I get this error message:

Adobe Help Viewer is not installed and you are not connected to the internet. Please check your internet connection, or reinstall InDesign

In fact, I am well connected to the internet. I've uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign several times, without success. Why Adobe Help Viewer would not have installed? What can I do to fix this? Thank you.

  • MS Html Help is not installed on this PC

    I have been using a trading on XP very good software, but since installing this software on my Windows Vista Home Premium (Svc Pk 2), I get the dreaded "MS Html Help is not installed on this PC" whenever I am trying to view the 'Help' file from the software owner menu.

    One of the messages on this forum (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaprograms/thread/781b8c60-41cf-482f-bcd9-d20455f9b190) said a solution "the solution is to change the call to be directly to the Windows API htmlHelp." If this is the case how can I do to run the software to do this.

  • After effects WARNING: Adobe Bridge is not installed

    I am trying to browse presets in Bridge, but it says that Adobe Bridge is not installed. I have the latest version of Adobe Bridge and I AE Startup scripts turned on. Please help to resolve the error.

  • AE warning: Adobe Bridge is not installed - if it is installed and updated.

    When I want to animate text in AE I get a pop up window reading: "WARNING: Adobe Bridge is not installed"- but it is installed and updated.

    Nothing worked, and Adobe was no help after hours of troubleshooting. I'm not a person very smart tech... but what I ended up doing was to keep the newly updated of the bridge... but uninstalled version the version recently updated to After Effects and replaced with a version degraded under "previous versions" tab in the application section of the window of creative (after effects CC 15) cloud. Now, it recognizes and opens the bridge preset animations.

    FYI - If you are already familiar with these presets... and do not require a thumbnail to see... you can always use them with the latest AE update. Under the "window" above... click on 'effects and presets'... a list of them will be in this... but yet again, you won't see a thumbnail of the animation.

    I hope that Adobe will understand this issue and fix it as soon as possible. Very annoyed with them right now.

    When you try to browse the presets in AE I get a pop up window reading: "WARNING: Adobe Bridge is not installed." Please download and install it to use this feature. "Bridge IS INSTALLED! I can open it separately. AE Startup scripts are enabled in Bridge preferences. This started only after update today. When I click on reveal my startup scripts, he opens a folder that is EMPTY.     We published a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2015) on July 19, 2016. This update is available via the Adobe Creative Cloud application.

    We addressed some launch bridge issues experienced on the launch of the After Effects application. Please try the new version and look for problems you encounter.

    If you are not able to locate the bridge (CC 2015) on the creative cloud application, you will need to update the creative cloud application and restart your computer.

    I had the problem. For some reason that I can't remember, I unfortunately uninstalled Adobe Flash Player as he tried to update all my free downloads from Adobe. I was able to install is no longer Flash Player (of course I always uncheck the box of McAfee) and got the same message as explained above. So in Firefox only, I could not see videos. It was so frustrating! I have tried many solutions and researched and tried again a few days, but nothing helped.   • Adobe Photoshop do not install it - code output 7?

    I recently bought the two adobe Photoshop elements 13 and adobe elements first 13. The premier Adobe downloaded easily, but Photoshop is not installed.     I installed Adobe Flash Player, Shockwave Flash, V17.0.0.188 several times trying to update my plugin since the evolution of Windows 10 about a month ago.
