"Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working"
Check online for solution and close the program or close the program are the only options. We receive this error when you try to resize a picture and finally Photoshop will close no matter what we do. We run it on a desk public static VDI, Windows 7. There are a lot of ram and disk space. I tried everything I can find online and finally a uninstall and reinstall. The issue continues to occur. Does anyone have an idea on what is wrong?

"Adobe Photoshop cc has stopped working" when I click on an adjustment layer
I get this message "Adobe Photoshop CC has stopped working".
I've done everything there is on the help site. Still no luck. Here's what happens:
Photoshop opens and I can work with it. It seems that almost all functions work perfectly, HOWEVER... When I try to access an adjustment layer, say the levels, then Photoshop will stop. Strangely, if I select the black & white adjustment layer, it WORKS? The OTHERS don't.
I also had on the Adobe help forum and can't help and say it could be a flaw in Windows
My system:

Here are the error codes I got from the event viewer

Run FIXIT
SFC/SCANNOW
Uninstalled and re installed Photoshop CC

Uninstalled all drivers (Wacom tablet & external HD)
There were also times that I could not get into the event viewer (this message appeared "Microsoft Management Console has stopped working")
Let me know if you need more details.

Hi Craig,.
Please provide a detailed account of your question. You, the efforts are very much appreciated!
I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.
a. you did any important changes made to the computer just before the problem occurred?
b. what fixit did you run, when you say "Run FIXIT"?
You have tried most of the linear troubleshooting, it can be concluded that the question could arise also following a conflict of third-party software that impede the performance of Adobe Photoshop CC. To diagnose the problem, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.
Method 1:
It is possible that the application has not been uninstalled properly and have hampered after the new installation. I suggest to try to start the next fixit and then try to install the program Photoshop CC.
The problems that the programs cannot be installed or uninstalled
If the problem persists, try the following method.
Method 2:
The question could also arise due to a conflict of third-party software, so, I would be as you suggest clean boot of the system once and then try to install the program in a boot environment.
Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.
How to perform a clean boot in WindowsIf the problem does not occur in the boot, you can determine which applications and services on the computer is causing this issue.
Note: See "how to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.
Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

Since you get an 0xc0000005 error code, you can deal with some Windows system files to address faulty. A lot of Photoshop depends on the use of the existing Windows files to work. It could be that the files requiring these specific adjustments are missing or damaged. Try to run a repair of Windows system (using the SFC Scannow command) or follow the instructions here to reinstall the necessary files: How to remove and reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries. Just downloaded Lightroom 6. When I open it, I get the following message: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I am running windows 8.
Extremely frustrated that I dropped $ 150 and it doesn't work!
I understand your concern.
Please restart your machine in safe mode by pressing the F8 key during the restart and launch Lightroom in this mode.
If it works well, go to Lightroom preferences > Performance > uncheck "use the graphics processor.
and restart your machine normally after that.
In addition, you can consult this article because the question is clearly due to the graphics card drivers.

"Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working" on the new installation.
Just loaded LR v 6.0 of disk. Whenever pop, 'Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working' window and the only option is to close the program. I use Windows 10 with Intel HD graphics card. I looked at the Lightroom 6 Preferences.AGPREFS file to disable the graphics card, but the file is empty anyway. I also started the Lightroom.exe with administrator rights. I also reinstalled but I still get the same error message no matter what I do. I tried the demo version of CC of LR and Photoshop and wonder if there is some kind of conflict, although I have uninstalled these before implementing the stand-alone version. Please help as worked on it during the day.
It seems that the graphics driver is at the origin of the crash program.
Update the graphics driver.
Regarding the solution please go to the below mentioned location and rename file 'ig7icd64.dll' to 'ig7icd64old.dll'
You will be able to find the fine to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working error
Updated to the latest version of CC - everything worked as expected for a couple of days - earlier this afternoon LR began (and continues) to plant. "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working" error - I followed different bits of support instructions - uninstall - reinstall - signature and return - downloaded and committed "Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool" - now, a few hours later, the problem has not been resolved - I need to go back to my project. Unfortunately, I even followed the thread that requested to uninstall the previous 5.7.1 version.
Please help asap - Kassa cordially

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you disable GPU usage in the 'performance' of the Preferences dialog box tab?

Adobe InDesign CS6 has stopped working
"Adobe InDesign CS6 has stopped working"
Hi people... my InDesign CS6 program shows me this message when I have a file for May 12-14 months... time to go a difficulty to start!
I can just close the message and turn it back on and it works, but this is not how it was suppose to work. Adobe has just "Updated" InDesign CS6 about an hour ago, but has NOT fixed this glitch. That seems unfair to me so I'm now come over here to see what you guys know, and if you can help.
Thanks a bunch!
Mike
See replace your preferences and also empty folder of InDesign recovery. Unless you have moved it, it will be the same folder as InDesign SavedData file in the link. Here are the HIDDEN folders.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working
I have Windows 7 I just installed Adobe photoshop CS5 Extended. It starts fine but when I start to open an image I get the message
Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working windows it will stop.
Any ideas of what is the problem.
Mylenium, why do you feel it is necessary to run the first time as an administrator? You know installation failures that will leave files or registry entries with a bad permissions? I have not heard of this behavior with new versions; Photoshop has certainly experienced feature UAC Windows for quite a long time.
Rjleys , I suggest that you try (before the opening of a picture) go into Edition - Preferences - Performance and disabling the setting of drawing OpenGL use []. Close, and then restart Photoshop after making this change.
If this works around the problem, you must update your video drivers on the website of the manufacturer of your video card. Maybe it's that OpenGL operations that Photoshop is making can cause an error in your drivers, resulting in a drop in demand.
What type of video card you have?
Here are links to the pages of updated driver for two big video card manufacturers:

Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working (Windows 7, 64-bit)
I am trying to run Photoshop CS5 in 64-bit Windows 7. Everytime I open the program, I get an error saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working", immediately after the startup screen goes away and the main GUI opens. The only option on the error is "close the program".
I'm on a computer with a processor i7 and 12 GB of memory. I have two Nvidia GTS 250 video cards, four monitors running.
During the last day, I reformatted my computer and reinstalled Windows twice. I reinstalled the CS5 Master Suite several times that I can remember. I also downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Nvidia video card.
I keep having the same problem whenever I try to open all of the programs in the suite CS5.
The only time where as I got near the do function was immediately after installing new Nvidia drivers, before restarting my computer. I could open only once without it breaking, once I restarted my computer, Photoshop kept giving me the same error everytime I try to open it.
I don't have any other software installed on my computer. This is a new installation of Windows 7.
I was on the phone with Adobe technical support for about an hour and a half, and I still have to get one unique suggestion other than to try with my unplugged network cable installation. Other than that, they seem to be fond of the transfer me back and forth between departments (and asking me to repeat all my information every time).
As you can probably, I am very frustrated at this point and would be very happy to suggestions.
Thank you
Trevor
My scenario and history:
Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and now Windows 7 Ultimate
NVidia Quadro Fx 4500 screwing 4 monitors total SLi on or off - makes no difference. Drivers are irrelevant.
2 x Xeon 5160 (so total 4 cores)
24 GB RAM
PS CS 4 or 5
4 monitors - Yep it's the thing 4 monitor.
Fails every time that you describe.
Comment - if you remote desktop on the computer - and so, indeed, use a single monitor - PS works fine.
A WORKAROUND solution for 4 or 5 - I don't consider not that difficult because you lose some features, but it gets you 99% it and is the same workaround for CS4 or 5
Go to
: Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 bit) \Plug-ins\Extensions\ (or CS4 - according to version) Look for the file:
ScriptingSupport.8li
Disable this extension by renaming the file with a tilde before the name of the file. So:
~ScriptingSupport.8li
Start Photoshop - it works and is essentially functional.
The only real drawback I found is that disable this script extension means that you cannot use some of the scripts integrated under FILE - SCRIPTS - larger PIA for me to be that of the Contact Sheet Builder no longer works. But as I now use Lightroom to create planks-contacts - this is not a big loss. Other features script - I'm sure is applied - but not to the point I find PS unusable.
ADOBE - if you read this - it was this extesión now for the last two editions of the PS.
