  Please note that you can open PDF files using only the CD player. Any other format will not be supported by the software.

  Hi specialists and friends, please help me: after recommended today ' session-Adobe UPDATE JAVA brought 'JAVA 8 update successful 60': but: a serious fault occurs:

  all desktop icons after update and reboot are changed in pdf-Icons, programs behind the icons aren't more to start, clicking an icon is the report: 'Adobe reader cannot open the file xyz.exe '.

  Even in windows - start "Windows/start / all programs": all programs with ".exe" - mainfile changed their icon of adobes-player-icon and should not start, same report.

  My system is: Win 7 Pro SP1, my system has been running perfect until Adobe´s recommendation to update Java.  The procedure of update-Java-auto: apparently the same as several before.

  What went wrong? What should do now? How and where I fix the connection appearently wrong of Adobe Reader with computers exe files?

  My todays burning problem is, I have to use this computer today important obligations related to dates, especially my statement of tax, otherwise I have to pay the drastic punishment.

  What I ve learned today still and forever: never touch a running system! More than ever, with a recommendation to update to Adobe! I m so diappointed at Adobe!

• Adobe Reader XI print obscured by the task bar in IE dialog box

  When using Internet Explore 11 with Adobe Reader XI and try to show the causes of dialog box print dialog windows to be positioned in the lower left corner of the screen every time.  Positioning of the print in a neighborhood view dialog box is not known.  Whenever the print to Adobe within Internet Explorer dialog box is used, the dialog window is displayed again in the lower left corner of the screen.

  I tested this problem on Windows 7 32/64-bit and 64-bit Windows 10.  Adobe Reader 9 running on Windows 10 machine under the same senerio does not trigger this action, but is rather the print dialog box squarely in the middle of the screen where it belongs.

  

  I found a few other reports of this behavior mentioned elsewhere, but no one has an answer on how to fix this problem.

  Thanks for your effort / suggestion.

  I tried this on three machines to test with any changes noted.

  The print dialogue box displayed in Firefox and Google Chrome are displayed normally.  Well well, the less usable.  The problem is related to Internet Explorer 11 in combination with XI Adobe and Google Calendar.

  During this phase of testing, however, I open PDF files in Internet Explorer and launched the Adobe printing functionality without worries, it is shown in this first assignment.

  So now, I'm leaning more that it's a matter of Google Calendar.

  As Pat says, Adobe Reader opens PDF files only. I think you may have better luck contact Optifine to find out why it does not work as expected: https://optifine.net/home.

• Adobe Reader opens a PDF file

  I use Windows 8 on a Dell computer using the Firefox browser. When I double-click a PDF file on my desktop, it opens fine. When I click a link on a site Web towards the same PDF file, the file did not come but he opens my computer library file and asks me where I want to save it. It worked well but not about 2 weeks ago now. It will not work on Adobe Reader 9 or Adobe Reader XI, which I just installed. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  I am using below command

  AcroRead.msi TRANSFORMS = "AdobeReader10.1.4.mst" / SB

  It works fine but in Control Panel-> programs and features-> she says, it has installed Adobe Reader 10.1.0

  It should say 10.1.4

  The quarterly EXEs are actually just zipped chained installers. If when you unpack the EXE file you get the MSI 10.1 and the MSP 10.1.4. Upon deployment, as described in the doc of the wizard or the administrator of the chain Guide you to their back together.

• Software Adobe reader opens the pdf file but no bar menus of adobe to handle pdf files

  My pdf documents last 3 or 4 have this problem.  Adobe menu bar has shown in the PDF on the Adobe site.  Is what happens because of problems with a PDF of creators or is this my adobe reader software?  I ran repair from adobe. Version of Player 10.1 Adobe... on my windows 7.

  I have a folder on my computer with 100 + text files. So I'm doing a projector which, once I chose a directory, move all the files in that folder looking for a string. I don't know how to use the FileXtra4 to set the directory and I had programs read and write to files before, but I don't know how to do it on such a large scale.
  If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

  You can use getNthFileNameInFolder() command to the Director to mke a list of
  all the files in a given folder, then use pRegEx to search for in the
  the text of each of them.

  A much simpler way would be to use BuddyAPI. It has a command called
  baFileList() that will give you the names of all the files in a folder,
  Then you can use pRegEx or another xtra search by each of them. The
  the same people who brought us BuddyAPI are also budFile that allows to make the
  search for text in a much easier way than pRegEx (although it will probably be a)
  bit slower). Although it is terribly confused and difficult to use if you are
  not familiar with regular expressions, this is by far the fastest method
  the research of text.

  Hi, I am new to scripting and wanted to be able to have a button on a PDF file that would send several PDF files to the default printer.  The files have different numbers of pages each.  I don't want to send all the files in the same folder as the PDF with the print button in the printer.  Is there a script that I can put in the form that will do it?

  This is only possible when you know the name of the files. Acrobat JavaScript cannot access a folder and search for documents.

• Installed the patch for MAC Java yesterday and immediately couldn't get adobe reader to view pdf files... have troubleshoot-done and can't seem to fix it... any ideas?

  I used the Firefox troubleshooting guides, not good. The patch of Java is activated and shows when I check the requests. However when I run Firefox plugins always displays the java plug in is obsolete and should be updated immediately.

  Have you looked at the Base files display PDF in Firefox article? There are a lot of useful information in there. In fact, it lists two different plugins to try to open the PDF files. I would try the two just to be sure.

  When you print a PDF file, the screen goes to Windows Media Center.  I use Windows 7.  I downloaded a new version of Adobe Reader XI.  I ran the repair Adobe Reader in the help file, and it does not help.

  Yet once in the Control Panel, under programs, under default programs, click on "Make a type of file always open in a specific program"

  

  Scroll to PDF and click change program.

  

  If it shows something else Adobe reader to access the AcroRd32.exe in the folder 11.0 programs/Adobe/Reader / player and choose as the default for PDF files. click apply and then click OK.

  Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but here is your solution:

  Regedit > HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > Applications > AcroRd32.exe > shell > open > command

  Right click > edit

  Change your version to the latest version number:

  "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader" '%1'--> ' C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe "'%1 '.

  You cannot decompress a file by using the Reader app. Adobe Reader is a PDF reader not a zipped files Extractor.

  Use Winrar to extract the files & folders.
