Lots of new goodies to try. As someone who uses RoboHelp since 1992, the last three years have been the longest wait. I am really glad that 'saved' Adobe RoboHelp and puts his weight behind a continued growth.

Congratulations to the engineering team!

  • Adobe RoboHelp 8 is out! TCS2, too

I am using RoboHelp since 1992 and it is huge. Not only is Adobe RoboHelp 8 released, but the whole Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2 (now with Adobe Photoshop!)

Individual trial for outputs, but also the range TC 2 is ready for download and I certainly recommend in this case.

I had the privilege of beta testing the entire suite and for articles on our "wish list" made in this version. Congratulations goes out to Jenet, Akshay Madan, Vivek Kumar, RJ Jacquez and so many people who put their heart and their mind in as many new features. I don't know that our friend across the pond, Peter Grainge and Rick Stone Robowizard will soon be chime with their take. I hope that we will hear some of the other beta testers, too.

There will be a lot more information published by a lot of people I don't know, but I have collected a tour d'horizon of the links on my site that you might find useful. They are all there are collected for quick reference. I'll put some of my own original content as well.

    www.hypertexas.com

There will be 8 Adobe Captivate demonstrations and the very that asked the examiner as the year 60-page guide last with tutorials and it posted soon. I suggest you give it a test drive.

It's funny. After 3 outputs within 2 years and a major suite Adobe, I don't hear a lot of these opponents strong if Adobe is more RoboHelp and FrameMaker support. I can't imagine a software company putting more faith and engineering in this product for technical writers and instructional designers e-learning group.
    Thanx

    Hey, Jared!
Good news to find out how to answer these questions to upgrade as managers evaluate the new version.

Of Adobe RoboHelp 8 reviewer's Guide has just been posted. He has 61 pages of details piece-by-piece with Try-It-exercises that can be downloaded and used in conjunction with the Guide of the evaluator to explore and test new features.

You follow this link, don't forget to download the PDF of the evaluator Guide so that you can more comfortably play all 7 of the Adobe Captivate feature/how-to demos that are shipped by the end of the Guide.

The Adobe Tech Comm blog also has a summary of the features in RoboHelp 8 and more links.

It is certainly a major, major version. The thing I like is that it facilitates not only the jobs of the author, but also has a lot of features for the end user - especially with the navigation and * search * (always a popular request)

    Thank you

  • Is there a way to disable Firefox from telling me that Adobe Flash Player is out of date?

We run a program that does not allow students to update programs or make other changes. The problem is that Firefox thinks that it NEED to update Flash Player whenever there is a new version. It is simply not feasible with as many computers as we support. 99% of the time, the update is not necessary.

Is there a way to disable Firefox from telling me that Adobe Flash Player is out of date?

You can disable the blocking of modules in Firefox and remove the file blocklist.xml in the profile folder.

    Disable these prefs.
Extensions.blocklist.Enabled = change this pref to false
Extensions.blocklist.URL = delete the url if Firefox can't find the server where this file is sent from

  • Adobe Flash Player is out of date popup panel

Periodically, I get a group of pop up on my desk that says that my Adobe Flash Player is out of date.  I check their site, and I am currently with version: 17.0.0.134.

Some examples of signs.  These panels are legitimate? Thank you!!

    HACK_ADOBE_FLASH_1.png

Doubtful that they are legitimate. your system is infected with malware, or visiting infected websites.

Download only the updates of the Flash Player from adobe.com and macromedia.com site:

P.S. your installed Flash Player version 17.0.0.134 is up-to-date, so you get all these notifications from Adobe.

  • "Edit Clip in Adobe Audition" is grayed out in CS6.

In Adobe Premiere CS6 'Clip edit in Adobe Audition' is grayed out.  How can I change this?  I have Adobe Audition CS6 installed as well.  I have Production Premium CS6.

    I solved.

    Here's what I did:

    (1) put in my install Adobe CS6 Production Premium Disc and re-installed the programs that I had chosen.  Each of them (except for the 32-bit versions of the software that has been available in 64 - bit).

    (2) all programs to complete the installation.  I think the first must Audition to be installed first, so that it recognizes that it is there, and it's a natural progression when installing Production Premium.

    (3) that's all.  I opened the first and found that he could connect with the hearing.

  • Can someone help me silent installation of Adobe Robohelp 9?

I want to deploy Adobe Robohelp 9 in my organization. So I want to deploy it in silence. Please can someone help me with the silent switches or the procedure to install Adobe Robohelp 9 silently. In the site of adobe Adobe Robohelp 8 silent install document is available, but it does not work for Adobe Robohelp 9.

    Hi Alexander,.

Please follow the steps below to perform a silent install RoboHelp 9:

    (I) copy the game to the top of the installation on your local disk media.

(II) create the application.xml.override file. This file (application.xml.ov) is required for serialization during installation, deleting the record, removal of the final license agreement of the end user (EULA) and removal of the update. To create this override file follow the steps mentioned below

    1. Open Notepad.
    2. Copy the following text in the application:
      12341234123412341234 SuppressSuppress-1

    (d) copy the alphanumeric code produces between and .

    (e) paste the code copied in the value of {Product_Code} in the application.xml.override file.
    Example: .

    (4) replace 123412341234123412341234 by your serial number.
Important: Omit hyphens. Delete delete for invites it registration will appear. Delete delete updates for Adobe Application Manager.

    (5) save the file under application.xml.override in the deployment folder.
Important : Make sure application.xml.override has not any additional extensions such as .txt.

(III) command promt open in administrator mode. Type the following command to silently install the product.

    "" Set - up.exe - mode = silent-= DeploymentFiles -acton = install - overrideFile= '\application.xml.override '.

Note:-1) Depolyment file is located in the folder of deployment of the whole upward. There will be a specific deployment of locale file. Use one that relates to your need.

    (2) you can get error 6 code after completing the game in upwards. However, the product can work very well.

  • Adobe RoboHelp Tech Support

I am a user of HR 8, at the present time. I'm hoping to get a time frame of the current user of the forum participants (and anyone who wants to chime in) about the State of Technical Support of Adobe RoboHelp and any hope of improvement.

I know that two or three years, Adobe published a letter of apology to the users for the poor state of affairs in the area of customer support. Improvements have been promised. Now, years after these excuses, I'm coming on three months of treatment with support from Adobe - trying to get a clear answer regarding workaround or correction of a bug in RoboHelp. (It is not important what the bug was and let me be clear that my support rep was always very polite.) For now, however, I need to make a recommendation to my manager who upgrade us to RH 9 or the transition to the product of Flare. While I personally want to stay with RoboHelp, I am wary of the support of the equation part and my classmates who have moved to the torch rave about the MadCap protocol support. I am sure that MadCap support is not perfect, and I want to believe that the Adobe support is not quite as catastrophic as the rants that fill the Internet would have us believe. But, can anyone tell me if Adobe management is disturbed at all the support tech very, very bad image there on the Web and by word-of-mouth exchanges? Anyone know if users can expect anything other than the status quo in the coming years?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hi and thanks at least raising the issue instead of just going for the unknown!

You are absolutely right, that Support Adobe has not been up to the mark in the past. There are clear signs, this change in particular regarding Adobe RoboHelp and the Suite of Comm Tech. I had the pleasure of speaking with the product manager, Adobe RoboHelp, Ankur Jain, during the WritersUA Conference and I asked him about the status of the technical support changes which are to be strengthened.

He assured me that since then supports the management of the product, it focuses particularly on this issue. In addition to a reorganization of this effort recently, he asked his team of engineers to be more directly interested in this forum. As you know, the Adobe Forums are support 'peer to peer '. People like Rick, Peter Grainge, Jeff and a ton of others spend countless hours with the messages and answer (on a voluntary basis by the way!)

During this time, I noticed a lot of posts that have been made directly by the Adobe engineers, even if they're not watching the boards formally. Sometimes we "experts (cringe)" will send a post to the genius when we hit a wall on a topic. They often put back directly very quickly.

Bottom line is that you can certainly be assured of the commitment of Adobe RoboHelp after so many years of neglect by previous owners. There were four excellent versions since 2007 and many more interesting things are looming.

No one has better things to do "fear uncertainty and doubt", as our competitive friends. They are masters at home. So, carefully consider your experience and your knowledge of RoboHelp vs the learning curve that is sure to need any tool you can use.

Nevertheless, the authors in the trenches, but also the people of Adobe will be here to help.

    Thank you

  • Adobe RoboHelp 8.0.2 Patch - Setup error

In the hope of trying to fix a known bug , I ran the patch 801 last week. I immediately tried to launch the patch 802 later, but he failed. I received an error message that the 801 should be installed first. I uninstalled the 801, reinstalled and then run the installation for the 802 again, but always the following error: "Adobe RoboHelp 8.0.1 is not installed. Please install Adobe RoboHelp 8.0.1 before you apply this hotfix. »

    Thoughts?

This is probably the question - the updater needs to write to the registry to indicate the patch reached level.

  • Adobe RoboHelp 8 pop up problem

Since upgrading from an old version of Macromedia of Adobe RoboHelp 8, entry entry appear in pop-up windows. The titles of pop - up worked in the old version.  Graphics that are in the topic appear but the text which is defined as title 1 does not work.  Anyone has a suggestion to fix this problem?

I also have a problem with the popups from RH8. Mine are text only and nothing appears while moving the mouse over them may cause some text to appear.

I obviously reported this and you should do the same.

The more people who report a bug or request a feature, more likely, he will be executed. Please follow this link.

In the meantime, they are OK in IE8. I also think in Firefox. Can't check that right now.

  • Review: Adobe RoboHelp 11 stopped working Source code control from Visual Studio Professional 2010

We contacted Adobe for help, but I also wanted to put this question in case someone has had this experience and can quickly provide a solution.

    Environment

    Windows 7 business

    RoboHelp 11.0.3.268

    Generation of WebHelp

    Team Foundation Server

Visual Studio Professional 2010 Source code control

    Problem

I am the original author of the Touchstone help system. Last week we started having two colleagues on board to work with me. On their systems, we have configured RoboHelp for working with TFS in Visual Studio using MSSCI provider 2010.

The initial project was a lot of conditional compilation tags. I removed all the and the expressions and everything checked into Source control. When my colleagues got the latest files from Source code control, and opened the project to Version control, we noticed that their projects were still conditional compilation with other elements that had long been removed tags. After some research, we have removed the CPF and PSS of source control files and let the RoboHelp to create them when we opened the project. That solved these problems - no conditional more don't build tags in the project.

Last Friday a colleague began to experience significant problems. When it right click on a topic to view properties, RoboHelp has stopped working. She was not able to do anything in RoboHelp since.

The same day I tried to look at settings of Version control (I had no problem to access all week). RoboHelp crashes as soon as I clicked on tools > Options. Colleague B had the same problem today.

This morning, I had problem A colleague.

Bottom line: we are suddenly not able to run 11 RoboHelp.

Our office employee internal help attempted to run the Visual Studio debugger. We get ' an unhandled in RoboHtml.exe win32 exception [5404]. " We also unhandled exceptions at various addresses with a read access violation address hex location.

After watching the Willem site that lists updates of RoboHelp, we thought to their installation, but we didn't know whether to install ALL the patches or Patch only 11.0.3. If all the patches, we didn't know whether to install them in a particular order.

Thank you very much for any assistance that someone of you may provide while we're also waiting to hear from the Adobe Support.

    Carol

I was recently informed that the patches have changed and you only need to install later.

  • Why Adobe can't get out the desktop versions of their software on the iPad Pro? [was: failed to get the 'real' work]

Help! I have a session of really expensive iPad 128 GB Pro in front of me, but you guys have not released a full version of your Creative Suite like Photoshop and Illustrator applications. So, I can't do anything more drawing freehand with a pencil of Apple, surf the web, write emails, play games, etc.

Your companion apps are great and all. But I want to do my work ON the iPad. I don't want to have to deal with the concern to understand what can be done on the iPad, and what I can do this only on Mac because I deal with the companion applications.

You are geniuses. So are the guys at Apple. You both have had a long-standing relationship since the time that I first played with Photoshop in black and white on my Fat Mac (512 k). Why Adobe (and other software publishers, for that matter) cannot release their software on the iPad Pro versions of office?

I know, I know. Experts say: ' just go buy a darn Mac already! But, look. That's life. People want to use the computing device they want to use. I mean, it's not as if Apple did not promote the iPad Pro as a desktop machine class. And, it's not like Adobe and Apple released were not closely related to decacdes...

If you build it, they will come. Apple built the iPad Pro. People came and bought. A lot of them, actually. And, if you search the internet for it, you'll find a slew of messages and articles where people are clamboring for serious on the iPad Pro tools so that the promise of Apple class office can be achieved.

Now, it's your turn, Adobe. Lead the charge! You have the resources. Build it now for we, the faithful, we move.

p.s. Thanks for making of amazing tools that have helped feed me and put a roof over my head for decades, now. A lot of love.

p.p.s. thank you for leting leads me.

    Hello

Short story. An 'iPad Pro"have not enough power to run Adobe software as similar to the desktop computer.

That said, some "desktop computer" not all have the ability to run software from Adobes 100% of their potential.

You must "wind" in the Apple forums.

  • My adobe account says im out licenses, but I'm not, who can help me?

My adobe account said I have used all my licenses, but it is wrong and should have a couple left, how can I get these?

    Hi A.L. Huber,

When you say that you are off licenses, you check those under my account at Adobe.com?

I would like to mention that if the user purchases a single-user license, he or she gets a serial number and you are saying that you have a license 4, that means either you could buy license volume and those that can be seen under Adobe.com if you bought two individual products may be under two different Adobe id.

To check the Volume License, you can go to this link - Licenses Adobe in the world-

Also do you have any order number or an Adobe id, we can check?

    Thank you

  • Adobe Bridge is hung out of Windows 10

Used 10 Windows on my HP laptop with no problems using x (64) CS6, but recently problems with the bridge.   Trying to make a simple file/exit bridge hangs and I have to use the Task Manager to exit.  I had no problems during the first uses of 20-30, but now this problem.  Anyone know what I would do;  Uninstall/reinstall but do not know how to save my files.

Hope that someone has any comments/suggestions.

    Ralph

Thank you for your continued attempts.

If you choose to reinstall, you would need the serial for Photoshop CS6 installation key and the serial key should be there under your products in: Adobe ID.

Before you reinstall, I suggest you follow the procedure below:

    1. close Bridge and Photoshop

    2. right click on the Bridge icon, then choose Properties

    3. go to the Compatibility tab

4 check the option for "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows 7 in the menu drop-down. ".

Then, open it and try to access any file.
