Adobe technical support - what a joke!

I tried to get technical support for CAPTIVATE CS4 for about 4 hours only to switch to a person in INDIA who has absolutely no idea what I'm talking about and who can barely speak English. Then I was promised a call within 10 minutes, which never came, waited on hold for over 30 minutes, only to be disconnected, then finally got through again only to be hung!

I am flabergasted that it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get technical help from anyone at ADOBE.  You can spend going literally around and around in circles on the Adobe website - you click on "Contact us" and it is another 50 questions!  Finally the folder where you started from!   I found a phone number to Sydney, which has diverted the Goons in INDIA!

Software is awesome - customer support TOTALLY SUCK!

I print the article in the knowledge base and make IT people if you use Windows Server 2003 or not.

  • Why not Adobe technical support?

    I was on four conversations of support to Adobe technical support during the last two days, if that's what you can classify typing an anonymous operator on chat software. I checked before buying that I could switch from Freehand MX 5.1 Illustrator using the illustrator update diskette and assured that it was possible. Now that I have bought and tried to install the software, only to fail on me, Adobe are consistantly refusing to support the problem, to the point where I'm cut as soon as they get information. I have transcripts of the conversations, as soon as I mention that I have the transcript where they me assured that it was possible, they cut me. The site is a nightmare to navigate, I always end up coming back to the header page. I am a web designer and learn how to build navigation that goes to a page and not in a large circle. Engineers can't type English good or give clear instructions, and when questioned, as cut you. Adobe makes good software but can't stand at all. If there was an alternative, I would use it, but they have absorbed all the competition.

    Uninstall the acrobat and reader versions.

    then restart your computer and run the Setup again.

  • How to contact Adobe technical support outside of my working hours?

    I'm trying to contact Adobe about a billing issue.  Basically they'll more than the agreed amount and the current price on the UK for Adobe CC site.  I had no warning of a rise in prices, and there is no explanation why.

    Unfortunately, it seems that the only way to contact Adobe support in the United Kingdom today is by phone or live chat, between 09:00 and 17:00 (that is, while I'm at work).  As the subscription of the CC has nothing to do with the work, it would be very difficult to expect from live chat (not sure about our firewall would allow anyway), or for the phone for a response (I can't make calls not working at my office), during working hours.

    How do I just send them a message, or make contact outside working hours?  If the answer is "you can't" then I'm sorry, but it is quite unreasonable and unacceptable service level

    I can't find the post I did a couple hours there on the error message 1 that I kept getting when I tried to download creative cloud and my apps.  I contacted Adobe via the site and the support has been incredible.   Solene access my computer and completely solved the problem in 15 minutes approximately.  Support tech GRAND Adobe, thank you!     I think you talk to change pass regular FTP to the SSH connection which is now required.

    We bought a license for " Acrobat 11.0 WIN AOO license IE (65197407) ", I tried to install the software of"https://www.acrobat.com/en_us/landing/free-acrobat-trial-download-thanks.html".

    It downloads fine, when I try and install it if it fails with the error above before even installing. I ran the following program 'http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html"as recommended installation in another article to uninstall and clean all instances of Acrobat and Reader off my machine, rebooted and tried again but got the same error.

    First time using / installing Acrobat, Reader XI had previously installed which I removed with the cleaning tool.

    With the help of a machine Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB of RAM.

    I paid for one month subscription to Premiere Pro once my trial ended and he doesn't connect with my PAID subscription will in any way, I installed and uninstalled on my computer 10 times and he always tells me that the trial is over and to buy and send me on a loop.   • Why Acrobat technical support seems to know anything about shared reviews?

    I was on the phone with technical support Acrobat today (outsourced team maybe?) to ask questions on another issue, I'll have with comments that disappears. I can't see the comments, but can another evaluator. I can see on the webDAV server comments are here, sitting in the XML file under the name of the reveiwer, but when I open the PDF file, it will not catch these observations.

    Technology support not one, but TWO guys at Adobe seemed stunned by these XML files they think that I created. I had to explain that I have created nothing; That's what Acrobat when you create a shared review. It's an XML file for each reviewer and it sticks in a folder of your choice, which the URL name is cooked in the PDF. I had to walk each other through the process of creating a shared review, and they have both acted as if it was a mysterious process of weird that I'm jerryrigging.

    They said it was 'unusual' I use a webDAV server, but I told them that webDAV is one of the three options provided by Assistant Adobe when you set up a shared review. (The other options are network and Sharepoint folder.) I told them that it is not unusual at all; in fact, I received all the instructions FROM ADOBE original installation.

    They kept me waiting for three to five minutes to apparently try looking things up, or maybe just to avoid my growing anger.

    I had another hunch that the problem might be that my synced folder may have to be emptied (obtained from this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3596773) and asked them if they could tell me where to find the sync on Mac folder, because this thread refers only to Windows. He had no idea. I asked him that, probably, somewhere at Adobe, where he works, anyone knows where that is installed on the Mac.

    He put me on hold for three to five minutes and he said he didn't know, but he's going to "degenerate" it and get back to me in 24 to 48 hours, which is the execution time-out faster, they can gather, apparently.

    The only soultions I ever find my misfortunes of Acrobat are users desperate themselves. I suspect also that only users (not Adobe technical support, who do not seem to care what anyone) he will never even read.

    On my system with Acrobat 9 Pro, they file Synchronizer user is under:

    / Users/georgejohnson/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/9.0_x86/Synchronizer/resources

    Could be a problem with the server for the user permissions?

  • Technical support gave me a download that I can not install

    FILE 0219529466 NUMBER.              My Photoshop CS5 working properly.  I believe that this can be linked to the recent update of Windows 10.  When I tried to start CS5, I got a screen that said I started my trial version, I got CS5 for years.  After a long conversation with the Adobe technical support, I learned by them to uninstall CS5 I did.  They sent me a link to a file to reinstall the CS5, but when I tried to use the installation program failed because it could not find a previous version.  Apparently the installer gave me was an upgrade and he was looking for an earlier version.  Since I had CS5 for modified computers and the years I don't have a previous version of the installer to find.  The installer confirms my serial number is good, but fails because it cannot find the previous version.  TECH SUPPORT FAILED this time!

    I have reviewed your file number: 0219529466 and found that Photoshop CS5 was an upgrade to Photoshop CS3 that you bought, the installer provided is correct, it's just you asking to enter the serial number of Photoshop CS3 when installing in the menu drop-down select Photoshop CS3 and enter the serial number of this one when prompted , for more information on this see: error: "this serial number is not for a product calling it" | Adobe Creative Suite.

    You can find your serial number of Photoshop CS3 on your account, visit: find your serial number.

  • Adobe CC prepaid subscription works do not, do not receives an update of other technical support that they keep saying they will contact me within 24 hours a day for almost two weeks now.

    I also get a message "Found no. Subcription" and no response from technical support, now im on evaluation mode start for everything, same frustration I have deadlines to do so, it must be a question of subscription adobe more with multiple accounts apparently endangered! hope this is resolved now
