AE crash when making a 3D ray-traced graphics

I tried to get the 3D animation to render for almost a week now and I'm at the end of the witz. I have a 3-d chart that I created in PS, I imported it as direct 3D layer in AE, I added an animation simple rotation, it runs along the full rotation of the z 1. I made the graphic output as a Ray-Trace quality final and I know is what gives problems, sort of. The animation is rendered very well when he was still an interactive quality. Only when I take it to Ray-trace I have this problem, AE crashes at the exact spot on the calendar each time frame #66. I tried to make a number of different ways, with and without the OpenGL is the same every time. I'm working on an iMAC with 2. GB of RAM, I think maybe that's my problem, but it does not make a point, he does play very well when I do a RAM Preview (but is not full resolution of trace of Ray). Is there something I should do in my rendering settings to prevent this? I've made changes in my preferences to optimize my recommended such rendering capabilities, should I go back to the default? Any help would be apperciated.

I'd say things a little less hard than Mylenium... but he also has a point.

There are known issues with stability with makes them more complex involving Photoshop Live 3D, especially in situations of insufficient memory. 2 GB meets the minimum system requirements for After Effects, but this feature is one of the features that can really benefit from having more RAM.

If I was in your position and needed to achieve, I would export my publication in pieces, and I would for a sequence of still images. I would use a sequence of still images, so that I'd have frames that can be used to the point of a crash. After a crash, I would try to make it a part of the composition, starting with the problematic framework, after serving the memory. (Which would give the best chance of making this frame one if the problem is that it takes more memory than others).

  • After Effects crashing after answering the warning Ray Tracing dialog box at startup

    Whenever I respond to the dialog box below after the start of AE, I get the rotation beach ball cursor and the program has stopped responding and must be forced to leave.  I tried to respond to not wonder at each session, but he comes always upward every time you start up.  I disconnected and back creative cloud, uninstalled and reinstalled after effects, deleted my preferences file and still had no chance to solve this issue.  Anyone else had a similar issue or know a possible fix?  Thank you!

    StormyCPb  I was going to leave a long message sarcastic about how it was useful, but alas.  In fact, I remembered seeing some of his other "friendly" answers browse the forums for other problems in the past...  Well.  Maybe karma will corrupt its next extremely long export in the last picture.

    Anywho...

    Just in case someone comes across this thread with a similar problem, my Department has been able to solve the problem by updating some drivers.  You don't know if they were for the video card or the CPU or what, but make sure everything is updated outside the Creative cloud if you have similar problems.  I didn't have administrator privileges to try this solution myself, unfortunately and my TI can be hit or miss on Mac, but it seems that this did the trick.  Happy editing!

    Thanks for your advice and solve problems by opening the laptop again and clean the dust (not much) and disconnect the battery CMOS.

    Now I can use my phone normally, except that some programs (especially games) crash and exit automatically.

    Alienware is good when you play the game but life is low especially graphics cards. I will never buy dell again. Also disappointed the customer support. I have contacted more than 5 times in my life and each time disappointed. So sad. :(

  • Why still burn my project to DVD very well, but it crashes when you export the menus for Blu - ray?

    I use Encore CS6, running on Windows 8. How did the menus load properly when rendering of the DVD, but seem to crash when I try to create a Blu - ray player yet? Please note that this also happens when I just creates an image file.

    Start with an empty menu from again. Open it in Photoshop then drop all of the assets of the old menu in this new.

    Save and return again.

    Do the same for the DVD.

    See how it will work.

    'Normality' disappears because blend modes do not work in the ray-traced rendering engine. Fortunately, you just had it set to normal and weren't trying not to use the screen or multiply or something else. It shouldn't be a problem for you.

    The text changes color is because the ray-traced rendering engine is made things very differently. You must go in the hardware settings and adjust them to the ray-traced rendering engine.   • Complicated simple question - ray tracing

    I'm working currently on a project - I have an optical system (some prisms, some lenses etc) and I want to do a VI to calculate the propagation of a ray of light - something like ray tracing.

    I know that labview is not a perfect platform to address this issue, but I still want to try.

    My problem is as follows: I want to calculate the propagation of a ray through a lens. I skate with some coordinates (y = const) and a lens plano convex - forward of a lens is a piece of a sphere. To calculate the spread (using snell's law), I find an angle between the RADIUS and the line that is tangent to this sphere lens to the point where my light beam hits the lens.

    My procedure (on the piece of paper):

    1.i know the coordinates of the center of a sphere (take (0,0)) and its radius r (x ^ 2 + y ^ 2 = r ^ 2). I know that the value of y = y_0 including the ray enters the goal.

    so I can calculate the x_0: x_0 ^ y_0 2 + ^ 2 = r ^ 2. Now, I know the point where the light enters the lens (x_0, y_0)

    2. then comes the usual procedure to find the equation of a tangent line to the sphere (y = a * x + b):

    I updated y_0 and x_0 this equation:

    Y_0 = a * x_0 + b

    and I can't remove an unknown value (e.g. b): y = a *(x-y_0) + x_0

    3. then I put this assimilation into the equation of the sphere (x ^ 2 + y ^ 2 = r ^ 2) and it's the quadratic equation that have an unknown value x and only one free parameter: a.

    4 beacause I want to have the tangent line, so there should be a single good with sphere - so the quadratic equation should have determinant equal to zero (the only solution for x). It gives me an equation for one. I should find the value of a that satisfies this equation and then I know this tangent line and I have the solution! UF...

    Unfortunately I still have not found a solution to implement this in labview (and I'm motivated because most of the work of this project is already done). I tried with the formula of analysis and so on, but I could not.

    I will be really grateful for any advice or help!

    LabVIEW does not symbolic math.  Once you have the equations solved on paper or reduced to a set that can be solved numerically, so you can program in LV

    When I look at your math in the first post, I see that (3) you describe an equation in x and a. However, this is not an order quadratic equation, but a fourth polynomial with terms like a ^ 2 * x ^ 2-2 * a ^ 2 * x * y_0. If this is not so easily resolved.

    Isn't the tangent to the sphere perpendicular to the RADIUS at that time? The angle of the beam can be calculated from x_0, y_0 and the center of the sphere. Then add 90 degrees. An arc tangent and no complicated equations.

    I have absolutely no idea what the implications are for the AMD graphics card instead of the NVIDIA one card, no one knows what effect this will have on my mac when you use CC After Effects? I've never had this warning on my iMac 21.5 "...

    The only thing THAT AE really use the GPU is obsolete ray-traced rendering engine. Very few people use the ray-traced rendering engine. I wouldn't worry about this at all.

    Now, some third-party plugins (like element, 3D Invigorator, transmutation, etc..) Make use of the GPU, but they will work with the AMD cards and have nothing to do with this warning of CUDA, you want to come. Check that the requirements for all you plan to buy.

    You can confidently check the option do not show this message.

    Ray Tracing is legacy at this stage as Adobe has evolved with the link of C4D. I wouldn't worry on this subject since it was rarely used anyway. You can get a good map of 960GTX and improve your performance for first and SOUL. Æ use almost all CPU and ram for this moment.

    This error message can be ignored (there is even an option to tell him to never show again).

    This means what he says. He tells you that your GPU is not supported for the acceleration of the converter drawn with RADIUS. This is not a problem, because it is an obsolete effect.     IM on a newer Pro MAc OSX running desktop computer (OS X 10.9.2 (13 c 64) and a)

    Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB (not a sound AMD NVIDIA)

    I tried the update of software and the operating system because it is now that recent versions of OSX do apparently. Not downoloading the driver AMD software supports only the previous operating system.

    This isn't a mistake. This is just an informational message. It's just saying you that you do not have the equipment needed to use a specific feature. Don't worry; This is a feature that you have almost no reason to worry - the traced the beam 3D rendering engine. There are many superior ways to do 3D in After Effects without using this feature. Just ignore the message and continue.

  • My BDP-S3100 crashes when you try to load Netflix.

    Player BDP-S3100 crashes when you try to load Netflix.  It gets stuck on the red logo screen.  While the loading bar continues to move as it loads, it never advances to the Netflix menu.  By pressing the back, home, or any other button does nothing.  Physically pressing the power button on the player does nothing.  The only way to resolve the issue is to unplug the drive completely.  All other app works very well and no internet connection is down.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Please make sure that the Blu - ray software is up-to-date. Click on this link to check the latest firmware of the device.  

    Don't initialize any personal information.

    1. on the remote, press the HOME button.
    2. go to settings.
    3. under settings, select Reset.
    4 reset, select initialize personal information.
    5. check if the Internet videos are back.

    If the problem persists after performing the above steps, try resetting the player to factory default settings.

    A Factory Reset.
    1. to support the remote control, press the Home button.
    2. go to settings.
    3. under settings, select Reset.
    4 4 remise back to zero, select Reset to Factory Default Settings.
    5. Select all settings.
    6. If the drive turns off after the reset, just turn it on and the Easy Setup appears on the screen. But if the player does not go out only to return to the Setup Menu then go to Easy Setup. Just follow the guests on the screen to complete the initial installation of the player.
    7. check if the problem is resolved.

    Since I got El Capitan, my preview Crash when I make changes to a jpeg file, after it has been converted into a .png file. When I reopen it the .png file, deletions I did are all black. It is not still sane the file as a proper .png file.

    I am so tired of this improvement in the system, and keep losing more in addition to the applications which I can not afford to level to deal with changes without end of Apple. I miss the day when software Mac was known for continuity.
