  I just upgraded a fairly new computer of mine from Vista to Windows 7 Professional.  The upgarde went well however the AERO Peek stopped working after a few adjustments with HP to get my Photosmart printer to work.  I tried to make the show thumbnails of running programs to display in the taskbar with no luck.  Any suggestions?

  (Already responded to dadams26 in a separate thread and it fixed the problem beautifully).

  Have you tried to run the Aero Troubleshooter? If this is not the case, try this:

  1. open the control panel

  2. go in the system and security category

  3. go to the Center of the Action

  4. click on the link to solve common computer problems

  5. click on appearance and personalization

  6. Select Aero

  He must either correct the errors problem or the State to determine the cause.

  If the Aero Troubleshooter is not the thing, maybe it's just that the Aero feature has been disabled by the update. Try this:

  1. right click on the desktop

  My new photosmart 6520 automatically shuts down after a few hours, it disconnects from my Win7 machine without using the material removal tool, if I get a nice loud bang when it does.  It is connected through the usb port on my Pavilion.  I don't mind to go to sleep, but I don't want to disconnect completely, because when I send a new print job, he didn't wake up automatically and print, I don't have to feed it manually upwards then it prints very well.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

  I could join HP support on this issue this morning.  There were two things - first HP printers now have a built-in surge protector so you should not connect it to an another surge protector.  Second, the default printer is delivered with activated automatic stop, turning off will do sleep, but not to turn it off, so that it accepts print jobs whenever one is sent.  So, if that helps anyone, good!  And thanks also for your help.  :^) gene

  Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I couldn't make another post here for a while, please excuse me if I don't correct format. I had this problem with my laptop Lenovo Windows 7 (build 7601) where everytime I turn on my laptop, this file called debug.log which lies in my local disk drive is created. It starts as nothing, only a few hundred bytes, but almost every minute, it will trigger 100 bytes (that's when nothing really works then). When I start playing games, online, etc., it will start to get very disturbing. The debug.log when I look at the 6 hours from now will probably be about 20 GB +. I discovered just recently on this file because I need to keep my laptop on all night for my friends to play on a Minecraft Server I have running and I was constantly find the disc completely full. After a day or two, the debug.log will eventually be around 300 GB to 500 GB and I have 0 bytes remaining on my drive. The laptop reset will delete the debug.log until I log in again and it will start to regain memory. I looked this up online nothing helps. For anyone reading this, please try to help me identify what this thing and if I could turn it off / limit its size. I have no idea what this thing of Toolbox, the only other thing I saw with the word toolkit was in my list of services and called him "ToolkitSvc" (it is running).   After reading the information provided about your question, I suggest you a soft reset of the phone. You can also check with the Geeksphone Forum to see if anyone else has reported it.

  1. Remove the back cover of the phone.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Take the SIM card and microSD card (if applicable).
  4. Wait for 10 seconds.
  5. Replace the SIM card and the microSD card in (if any).
  6. Put the battery back in.
  7. Put the cover back on.
  8. Switch on the device.
  9. Check if the question you have is still present.

  If these steps did not work, try the rest of the other measures in the document to restore the BIOS and update the BIOS if Windows does not start a section of the document updating the BIOS .

  If you can get into the BIOS at all, you can try to reload the default settings? To reload the factory-installed BIOS configuration settings, perform the following steps:

  1. In the BIOS Setup utility, select the tab out.

  2. Select message Load Setup Defaults.

  3. Select Save Changes and Exit (pressing F5 and the Enter key will also load default configuration).

  4. Press ESC, then press Enter to exit the installation program.

  Bought a Stor.E wireless adapter and followed the instructions but after turn on the unit by connecting to USB power usage provides cables, access point WIFI disconnects after 4 or around seconds.

  3. wireless light turns green and stay on, turns off after a few seconds

  I have a Toshiba l755d for a month. Everything works well except firefox, chrome and opera.
  IE8 works. At first I thought it was just firefox because I just test firefox.

  SO I wrote a thread in my own language for firefox forum. Nobody has been able to help me with this problem of accidents. Then I thought to test other browsers that eventually does not work too.

  So finally after update of everything and anything that I decided to reinstall windows so no change atm there is nothing on my hard drive but windows 7 home premium(64bit), pilots, recently extend java, flashplayer, firefox, opera and chrome.

  Short:
  -all browsers except IE8 crashes after a few minutes
  Firefox - forum couldn't help me
  -l' laptop is new
  -everything is updatet to current version

  Any ideas?

  Theoretically, it could be a HARD drive problem.
  Would be interesting to know if the other HARD drive does the same thing

  However Stor.E Canvio is a HARD USB 3.0 drive and it takes min 900mA to operate correctly.
  It might be possible that not enough power provided by the USB port.
  You can try to plug an external USB hub between the laptop and the HARD drive to verify functionality.
