I tried all the options from the start menu, but there seems to be no way to solve this problem, for example, in 'Safe' Mode, the problem persists, and 'Last successful login' does not work either. It will not launch command prompt. I ran Dell diagnostic check before extended initialization and there seems to be nothing wrong with the hardware. I have no disks system of re - install Vista (and that I would lose all my data anyway). I can also access the ID of the license of Vista. The computer is no longer under warranty, and I have no agreement to support hardware or software for it.

    I would be grateful for any suggestion.

    The quality of conversion is really depends on the quality of the original PDF file. Please see Will Adobe ExportPDF convert text and shape... | Adobe Community.  Do you know what who or how the PDF was created?

    You can have better luck by disabling OCR as described in this paper: How to disable the optical character recognition (O... |) Adobe Community. (Note, however, this is option is is not optimal if the PDF file is created from a scanned document, you wish to OCR enabled to convert the text from the image in the PDF file to editable text).

    Open Safari while holding the SHIFT key

    Try to reset the settings of Safari:

    1. open Safari

    2. click on the Safari menu at the top (to the right of the Apple logo)

    3. Select the Preferences/Privacy tab

    4. click on remove all data from the Web site

    5. close Safari.

    Remove cache Safari files:

    1. click on finder

    2. look for the menu GO to top

    3. click on GO and hold down the option key. This will show a user library folder.

    4. click library and find the Caches folder

    5. in the folder caches com.apple.Safari Ouvrezledossier

    6. move the Cache.db file Trash.

    This should solve the problem. If it does not help, try to disable the Safari extensions

    1. open Safari

    2. click on the Safari menu at the top (to the right of the Apple logo)

    3. Select Preferences

    4. find the Extensions tab

    5 disable all extensions of

    The solution that worked for me was to create a new user profile.
    Give it a try, if it works you can just move your settings and other things more.

    Who knows what's wrong there. Install CCleaner and clean OS every time before you turn off laptop.

    Might be time for a clean installation of the new OS if your brother use it for years.

    When Safari is running slowly? When? What sites? Force Quit Safari and then start it again while holding down the SHIFT key. If Safari works as expected, then remove your installed Safari extensions. Restart Safari normally and add your extensions one by one until the slow back. You have now identified the extension at the root of the problem.
