  Thank you guys.  It looks like both you have a similar problem with a third party AVI codec.  If please remove or uninstall third party such as DivX, XVid, AVI codecs etc. of your system and try again AE.

  You can also temporarily disable these components by closing all QT apps and then drag the components out of the Library/QuickTime folder on your boot drive.   If it works, try adding them back one by one until it fails again.  This is the codec problem.

  I'm trying to make some fairly simple animations.  I have an i7-860 2.8 GHz computer with 16 GB of RAM custom designed to turn After Effects.  It always starts fine, but less than ten minutes later it crashes and the computer reboots.  I did everything that my possible thing to change the amount of RAM it uses, number of processors cores he uses.  Are there other things I should try to keep the AE to plant?  I have yet to get a single project to make completely.

  I currently have the Trial Version of After Effects CS5.5 installed. I'm under a bad audio problem. For the first 2 days, that I used it, the sound was fine, he played automatically and I didn't even have to make the first to get it.   I have a good question. Audio in each program works very well except for Adobe After Effects CS4. When I saw a clip with audio using the Preview Panel, it plays the video but no sound. In the db meter, it has no activity. When I made the video, there's still no audio signal. How can I say that there is audio of the waveform. I touched the he'S shortcut and it shows the waveform. I've tried songs in MP3 format, and it still does not work. The only way I can hear the audio is if I listen to the audio by right click and go to preview, or by simply pressing the (.) key on the numeric keypad.   It is not a problem that needs fixing, it is normal behavior, you just try to use AE to something that is not supposed to do.

• After Effects CS5 - Keylight 1.2 pipette crashes on me!

  Recently, I worked on an independent project and I created some green screen footage and tried to edit it in After Effects.
  After that I added the effect 1.2 Keylight to my images, I went to the Eyedropper to click on it and then it crashes on me and gives me an error and stops completely After Effects!

  I managed to take a screenshot of the error popup so that way you guys can see for yourselves.

  

  I thought that, maybe, it has the. MP4 video.  So, I converted the video to a .avi file and tried to apply the same Keylight effect again.  Once I clicked on the pipette, it gave me the same message again and stops After Effects.  I thought maybe it was only the video files that cause problems?  So, I thought I tried a green screen image, and the error came again.  Maybe it's the project file?  Nope.  I started a new publication and added in the video in the composition, added tried 1.2, Keylight effect by selecting the pipette and once more... it still gives me the error.

  The problem is not video or image.  It's the Keylight 1.2 pipette that is causing the error.  I thought that, maybe, I need to update my laptop?  Updated, still the same problem.  The next thing I did was trying to find a way to solve this problem online.  I noticed that there is an update for Adobe After Effects CS5 update 10.0.02.  So, I updated to After Effects and restarted my laptop.  When I went back in After Effects and still applied the same effect and when I tried selecting the eyedropper... gives me an error... once again.

  I'm sorry if this sounds a little repetitive, but I wanted to be thorough in my explanation that I can try to find a solution to this problem.  I really need this to work again because I'm working on a very important project.  It's weird, the Keylight 1.2 never gave me any problems in the past.  It works perfectly at the time.  So, why he does not correctly now?

  Let me guess, you use Yosemite or newer on your operating system?

  If so, be aware that CS5.5 and earlier are not supported on this OS, so should have weird bugs.

  That being said, go to your preferences and change the use System Color Picker setting and see if that helps.

• After Effects CS5 stuck to the Windows 10 1511 homescreen

  I had been using After Effects CS5 on Windows 10 smoothly for several weeks.  A few days ago I have upgraded to Windows 10 version 1511 (a major update), and now when I launch After Effects, the splash screen is stuck at "Initializing MediaCore."  It never makes it beyond that.  I searched and tried all the troubleshooting methods that I could find.  I have reinstalled QuickTime.  I reinstalled After Effects.  I've updated After Effects.  I have reset and delete the Preferences folder.  I have disabled the firewall.  I rebooted.  I went through the suggested troubleshooting steps.

  Any suggestions or ideas on what could be the problem?  On a perhaps related note, after I updated Windows 10, I had a very strange problem a few times: when I started in Windows, the music started to come out of the speakers.  A little later, I heard static-y voice in speakers.  It was like this by the blue, no Spotify or anything I know.  My laptop picked up somehow radio waves?  Was it a bizarre kind of spyware?  Since then, I scanned with spyware.  Thanks for reading!

  I found the problem after watching Process Monitor from Microsoft.  I had to uninstall Matrox codecs that I had installed quite earlier.  I tried to uninstall/reinstall Quicktime, but failed to remove the Matrox codecs.

  I just installed Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium 5.5 on a new (2012) Mac Mini (Intel Core i7 processor) running OS X Lion mountain 10.8.2.  Most of the applications installed correctly, but After Effects CS5.5 gives me the following error when I try to launch:

  OK, answered my own question.  I was installing on a Mac Mini, which does not have an optical drive, so I used a remote optical drive to install on my network.  It turns out that confuses the installer.  I finished copying the DVD to install it on a flash drive and the installation of one.  Problem disappeared.

  You work with the demo? Export Premiere Pro project brings only the images in AE, it brings in cameras, lights or AE effects. I don't know anyone who has ever used it.
