After effects video ground

Hello

I recently had problems with After Effects when the video renderer, never used to have this problem before. I'm tempted to sell the lower-thirds and must export in PNG with alpha QT (1920 X 1080) channel. Parameters of what ever I choose, if its SD or HD I get reading jerky when viewing in quicktime format, and the strange thing is, he will be trolling in the various stages of the video playback and sometimes not at all. It gets even worse when I bring the Apple Pro Res of 1920 X 1080 video of EI in preview, video chaos jerky. The trouble is, this used to be a problem, so why now? My mac eventually is no longer able to manage this video? Is there a problem with the settings of the AE or would it be my mac?

I don't want to sell minced buyers video and obviously want a smooth playback

Here are my preferences of macbook:

OS X EL Capitan

Retina display

Intel Core i5 2.5 Ghz processor

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

8GB memory

Help would be very appreciated.

Well, I just tested the clip video using a mini black magic on a TV monitor and converted the video to the H.264 format using FCPX and it played smoothly. He continues to play rough on mac only.

This is because H.264 is often a DELIVERY codec.  It is intended for reading.  PNG, on the other hand, is an INTERMEDIATE codec.  It's supposed to be passed to another application without loss for future work.

The file sizes are huge - without loss of image quality, you know?

The necessary flow for smooth playback is beyond the capabilities of the toughest - without loss of image quality, you know?

So yes, you the erratic reading jet on the files in the PNG codec.  Now, if we knew what you were doing with the PNG files, we might be able to offer suggestions.

  • Looking for examples of After Effects video for social media?

    Hi all

Can someone suggest a Web site that shows samples of what has been done in Adobe After Effects for social media communications?

    Thank you

There is a #aftereffects - a good place to perform a search on Twitter and Instagram, http://motionographer.com/ - AE, Art of the title - also without limitation to the AE and a bunch of other sites that show things that have been created with open-ended AE. If you are looking for specific examples where AE is used for the promotion of social media then you probably need to experiment with Google.

After Effects video Tutorial: character rigging - YouTube

But I have problem to make the stretch of the arms of the robot showed at the beginning of the video, tutorial does not cover steps how to make using the cursor control or any other Tool of expression

    I managed to create this:

Can someone help me please, how do?

    Thank you

Select the property x of one of the segments, hold down the alt/option key and click on the stopwatch to add expression. Type "value +" then use the pickwhip to connect to your x-position slider. "." That's all.

Now highlight the position x and go to the Edit menu and choose copy only expression. now select all of the layers on this side of your robot and paste.

That should do it. The expression should read something like:

    value + thisComp.layer("controller").effect ("Slider Comtrol") ("Slider");

  • Gray borders around white video in After Effects

Hi, I'm doing hundreds of training films with a greenscreen who later gets a white background. This looks cool in white website, however, sometimes, the video have a gray border. In this case cpmpletely RANDOMLY. I know, because we produce them all in the same way... It seems that it is an Adobe Bug of some sorts. I really hope that someone can help you. It really is time to export the same video three or four times, just so that there be no gray the fourth time at the border. (To be clear: I do not use *.) PNG, or *. PSD or any key to chroma, just on a solid white After Effects). I know that this happens in Adobe Media Encoder as wel as in After Effects. Once again, quite randomly. For most borderless, but sometimes the border grey.

  • Slow Motion video using After Effects

    Hello

I got 10 seconds a clip timeline in first. I sent by right click 'Replace with AE composition' after effects.

I have apllied TimeWarp with 50% of the speed to the element in AE.

The first clip is always step 10 sec. It means that he slowed down video that contains only 5 seconds of the original. I expect that the final video in first will be 20 seconds because 50% of the speed has been used.

    What I am doing wrong?

The eccentric nature of making slow movement with After Effects has long been problematic.

You can probably get the same quality inside PP right using the optical flow method.

  • After Effects to Media Encoder does not queuing video

Media Encoder isn't queue my video when I try to make the video using After Effects.

This is! You have the wrong version.

You get AE version 13.8 (AKA CC 2015.3), which is basically CC 2016.

Or use the older version of Adobe Media Encoder.

  • After Effects using 5 GB of ram for the preview of a video 12 MB in size without any effect.

I after effects CC 2015 to date.

    My terms of reference are:

    CPU: i5 6500 3.2 Ghz

8 GB of RAM: DDR4-2133 MHz RAM

Storage:256 GB SSD (on which After Effects is installed)

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

Graphics card: GeForce GTX M 970, 6 GB

All the drivers are up to date.

The problem is: I create a new project and import a video in. The video has a full HD resolution and is 12.5 MB in size. First of all, it takes a minute to play the video of RAM so that it begins to play in real time. Then, the video is 30 frames per second, but reading the preview, he plays at 60 frames per second (frame rate is defined as 30 fps in composition settings). I saw the RAM usage in the Task Manager and After Effects using 5 GB of RAM. Then I applied an effect and the CPU usage rose to 100% and it took about 5 minutes to get the applied effect, and after that, After Effects crashed.

I'm quite new to After Effects, but I'm also a tech geek. I tried to play in the settings but it didn't help. I also searched on google and forums, but to no avail. This problem is essentially what makes the software unusable for me. Please HELP!

You do not want to edit long movies in AE. After effects is NOT video editing software.  A non-linear editing (NLE) like Premiere Pro is for editing photos to tell a story. AE is for compositing, Visual effects and graphic cartoons. It is for the creation of clichés that you then use in an NLE.

I suggest to get at least 16 GB of RAM to work with AE, but your system should work as it is. You will need to learn to manage your memory well and to get a glimpse at lower resolutions where possible.

Now, as to your original question. AE is not simply to play a video stream, as does a NLE. After effects (such as other software based compositing on pixels) with completely decompressed frames. When you put a video compressed in a composition, the size of the original video file has no effect on the size of the images that works with After Effects. After effects unpacks this video and works internally with a full, uncompressed resolution, frames. AE calculates the values of each pixel in each image, comes with a new pixel and then reads these pixels. Who is?

In fact, since you have so little RAM and the processor is not either, it may be a good idea to convert your video files highly compressed in a good intermediate codec for the shots, that you intend to use in AE. QuickTime with the PNG codec would be a decent choice. This way AE doesn't have to do a ton of work to decompress images behind the scenes until you can even work with him.

  • Export video in After Effects

I'm trying to export a video in After Effects and when exporting video, ago only audio, no video or the video and audio are not synchronized.

I tried to export in the Render Queue in After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder. When I tried to export as one. MOV, the file exported with no video and audio. When I tried to export to. AVI, but it showed the video was not synchronized with the audio. What I can do / how can I export the file to fix this error.

To give a bit of history on the file: this is a clip of a video that I cut and stabilized in Premiere Pro and exported as a .mp4 file. I then used rotoscoping tool to hide the background of the video in AfterEffects. Now I'm trying to export the video to a file that can be played on a projector for an exhibition, but the export does not work properly.

I guess the mp4 exported pp are 1920 x 1080, and they play with success AND without distortion, correct?

Some codecs and multimedia containers allow only a finite set of horizontal & vertical dimensions... mp4 among them.  This could be the source of your problems if you actually try to create files of 1920 x 1200.
