After installation, my computer does not detect my Laserjet 1536dbf network and I can't print

I installed my printer on my home network. Now, my computer can not detect so I can't print.

I noticed that the printer indicates a different IP address that the router assigns to him and which is visible on the router configuration Web page. Reset of the printer and my router has no effect.

I had to reset my router a few days due to a failure in broadband. Could be the cause of the problem?

It turns out that reset the router after the failure in broadband, the other day off the ethernet port to which the printer is conncected. It's strange because the previous resets did not do that.

    There may be a program to interfere with Parental controls so that we can try a few things to see if we can determine the application or program that is causing problems.

    First of all, we run System File Checker to see if you have a corrupt file system.

    • Click Start
    • Click on all programs
    • Click Accessories, and then right-click on the command prompt.
    • Select the Security tab and choose "Run as Administrator"
    • Click on command prompt
    • Type SFC/scannow.

    It will scan and repair any damaged operating system files.

    To determine if there is a program because of a conflict, we recommend that you perform a "clean boot" of the computer. A clean boot is designed to disable programs and services in the background as much as possible. This helps determine which service or program can be the cause of the problem.  For more information about how to perform a clean boot for troubleshooting, click the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

    Bought in 2009-trusty HP Photosmart C8180 printer all-in-one has a permitted lightscribe dvd burner drive. Worked very well with 32-bit Xp computer.

    Now I have a new computer running Windows 7 64 bit, so had to download software like older software would not work. Printer now works fine again, even wireless. Yesterday I tried to use the dvd player, but my new computer does not detect the dvd on the same printer drive. I love this printer and nothing on the market has the following features for a replacement is not what I want.   Someone at - it suggestions. Cheers from Tasmania

    Tried the software. Its the same thing as what I downloaded when my own outdated software did not work.  I tried to add a USB in addition to the wi - fi connection. The computer then saw the drive. This means that it is the only way it will work or is there some software/driver tweeking or more I can / add to make ALL of the wi - fi function

    Hi FAH300,

    If you are not able to format the drive, there may be a hardware problem.

    I suggest formatting the disk using the instructions linked by wb2001.

    Try to rename settings.ini and check.

    a. make sure that the gadgets are completely closed (check in the Manager of tasks for sidebar.exe).

    b. open the browser, go to %localappdata%\microsoft\Windows Sidebar.

    c. save the file settings.ini in somewhere else.

    d. Rename settings.ini settings.ini.bak (or something else), it will regenerate the file. You need to add your gadgets back.

    e. open gadgets, it must be resolved.
