After reformatting of linux to windows 7

OK, so I've had the laptop reformatted from Linux to Windows 7 Home Premium. It will link is no longer on the internet and tells me that lack readers to connect to a network. I downloaded the driver for network card for windows 7 and tried to install it. Got a message saying "cannot install drivers. No adapters Intel (r) are present in this computer. »

No idea what I need to do to get this thing to work. I plugged the laptop through a hard line to the internet, and it does not recognize that it is there, or just impossible to connect to the internet at all.

Use a computer with Internet access, download the drivers at the following link:

Enregistrer to save on a USB key, then copy them on your N5010 and install them. References to Windows 8, but the same drivers should work with Windows 7.

  • After reformatting Vista, cannot activate Windows

    Hello

I bought my own windows Vista and I'm the only one who uses the product key for this one. Is the computer that I use my laptop and I would reformat my laptop 2 - 3 times a year with the same Vista with the same product key. In the past when I reformat it, active window very well.

But in my most recent reformatting, the window would not accept my product key because it has been used on another computer, which is impossible, because its only been use on my laptop.

    Is any way to fix?

Looks like you used the media to retail with OEM SLP key. an OEM SLP works only with manufacturers of installation media.

change your product key to the one on your COA.
Click Start, type slui 3, press on enter.

before reformat, I used belarc advisor to get the product key. can barely read the print in the contract of affreightment

This key will not work. You must use one on the certificate of authenticity.

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

  • Reformatting laptop computer with Windows pre-installed 8

    Hi all!

Recently I bought Lenovo Y500 with pre-installed Windows 8. I've never used Windows before 8 and this is my first time ever affected by it. I understand that Microsoft no longer use the activation key of conventional product with Windows 8 pre installed devices. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the activation key is now encrypted and incorporated in the BIOS itself. I also understand that there is a feature of system recovery and even a Clean-Install feature in Windows 8 and Windows 8 would automatically read the activation key in the BIOS while being reinstalled.
I have read all those who want to reinstall Windows 8 and that the clean install would often suggested, but what happens if I want to reformat the laptop in all, completely destroy everything, delete existing partitions and reinstall Windows 8 after that? From a technical point of view, reformatting and repartitioning shouldn't affect the BIOS, and so I guess that if I had to reinstall Windows 8 after reformatting and repartitioning, installing Windows 8 should read the key of Activation of the BIOS always automatically and activate at the first internet connection. Or am I wrong?
On a side note, when I bought my laptop, it did not come with the disk Installation of Windows 8, so if I had to reformat and reinstall, where I'd get the file of Installation of Windows 8? Am I supposed to download from the Microsoft Web page (if there is even a link to download it) and burn the image to a blank disc and use it to install?
    Best regards & thanks!

  • need to reinstall updates after reformat

I have to go to the cumbersome process of reinstall all updates when I reformat the hard drive of my laptop?

Lenovo has created three partitions on the hard drive installed. The smallest drive C contains Windows and software pre-installed. And I was told that the C drive should NOT be resized if not the OneKey recovery no longer work. But we are given the D drive which is MUCH bigger to contain all my personal data.

updates take up a lot of my disk drive of the insignificant C, 19 GB space, which, in the end, let me about 700 MB to work with installing progs more. with do I find n reinstall every single update after reformatting the hard drive or do a system restore point? in this way he doesn't eat any more space in my C drive good?

If not, grateful if you can advice me how to handle this accordingly.

    Hello Vanity.sha,

Thanks for your reply.  A new installation of any operating system takes about 2-4 GB of space in the partition & after OneKey recovery on system should have been about 75% of free space available. I think there could be some unwanted files & folders on your system, so try to free the C: drive & then try to deploy the update for Vista.

In addition, Microsoft & 3rd-party application has the ability to store the program files on all available disks, you can install these applications depending on the free space.

    I hope this helps.

  • No sound after reformatting on Dell Dimension 2350 XP SP3

Only, I went to read an mp3 file after reformatting last week and got this: "Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device". My multimedia audio controller, Device Manager has a yellow question mark and a code 28 by the bit of General properties. It's a Dell Dimension 2350 with SP3. Just let the Hardware Wizard find the driver for me?

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/ca/en/cadhs1

Click on the link above, all your system drivers are here.

Expand the Audio, there is only one pilot, click on download, note when you save the file in.

Double-click the file to install the driver.

Save the link above if you need others.

If you have the CD Drivers and Utilities provided with the system, the drivers are on the CD.

Yes, you can leave the installer for you, also Windows Update installs for you, but it is preferable to install yourself, Windows makes mistakes!

Hello, I am building this computer in Dec 07, and it was working well until recently. I came one day at home in a very annoying virus and decided to just reformat since AVG and such could not find it. After that I managed to do reformat there great for about a week, then I started to have increase the registry errors, files missing, things like that. I tried to correct as I will, but many seem to just keep coming.

I am now at the point where I can't complete the Windows Update, is now telling me to do it because when it restarts the login screen does not load. I'm that attribute to a facility missed some video drivers. When I will not start I have 5-6 errors in a line saying that various registry files are missing. I tried sfc/scannow, and it fails to end at 52%, as many others. /CHKDSK does not resolve the problem. Run the Vista installation CD and tried all the options such as the Startup Repair and repair memory (forget what it's called). My internal Sata HDD is also detected as removable storage among other issues. I'm running out of ideas as to why it is so bad that my HD or RAM is corrupted somehow. Any comments would be great.

  • Video card driver displays an error message after reformatting computer with Vista

I reformatted my computer using windows vista and I kept getting an answer that the used copy was an illegal copy of windows. In the meantime my computer was working fine. I called Microsoft and they verified that it was not an illegal copy and gave me an additional code to activate windows. After activation, my image of the screen became smaller with a border of 1 inch black around the screen (I have a widescreen monitor). I tried to correct this problem and have discovered that my video card driver has an error message saying that windows has stopped this device because it has reported a problem. I tried to reinstall the latest version of the driver, update to windows vista and tried all the suggestions that have been proposed on the microsoft Web site, and it still doesn't work. I reinstalled everything again with the same problem. Can you please help me solve this problem. Thank you.

After reformatting my laptop, I tried to reload Word Perfect 9.  I get a message that it does not work on NT, my Vista became NT, how can I change this back?

    Thank you

WordPerfect 9 is about ten years.

Windows Vista is derived from Windows NT, and WordPerfect programmers could not predict a decade that a version of Windows may be appointed so they probably went with what they knew at the time.

You can try to install the program in compatibility mode for a previous operating system.
