After splitting partition index was not marked UNUSABLE. Oracle 11.1.0.6.0
Dear experts,
I do the following:
SQL > create table tab (an integer, whole b)
2 partition () range (a)
3 partition p10 values less than (10),
4 partition p20 values less than (20).
5 partition pmax values less than (10000)
6 );
Table created
SQL > alter table tab add constraint tab_pk key primary (b);
Table changed
SQL > insert into tab values (1, 1);
1 row inserted
SQL > insert into tab values (19: 2);
1 row inserted
SQL > insert into tab values (9999, 3);
1 row inserted
SQL > commit;
Validation complete
SQL > select index_name, status of user_indexes where index-name = "TAB_PK";
INDEX_NAME STATUS
------------------------------ --------
VALID TAB_PK
SQL > tab table split partition of alter
2 pmax (30) into (partition, partition pmax p30);
Table changed
SQL > select index_name, status of user_indexes where index-name = "TAB_PK";
INDEX_NAME STATUS
------------------------------ --------
VALID TAB_PK
Could you explain please why the overall index of tab_pk was not marked UNUSABLE? The partmax of the partition was not empty.

Moving the partitions to tablespace diffreent marking unusable indexes
Hello
I use 11.2.0.3 oracle on IBM PoWER sERIES 7 ON aix
and have a routine to move partitions greater n days in a dedicated tablespace, but when that move these old partitions of the index are marked as unusable.
How can I avoid this, what am I doing wrong?
move works very well but the indexes show also unusable and not want to re-create the index each time that would take nearly an hour.execute immediate ('alter table '||i.table_name||' move partition '||i.partition_name ||' tablespace '||v_archive_partition_tspace);
Table partitioned by day_num (NUMBER)
each partition belongs to the same tablespace BI_DATA and index belong to the BI_IDX.
When moving the old question of partitions above the command - t - it not unlcude the index - thera is an index option?
Thank youIt is up to you; storage spaces are for administrative convenience.
My preference would be to place them in a tablespace - you would never restore without the table index or vice versa, so put in a single tablespace would be convenient administratively.

I have improved my Stream 13-10 Windows. It was very difficult to do and I ended up doing a clean installation (and pay for the cursed BONES) because I couldn't seem to do the upgrade work.
Now, I seem to have even less disk space I did when she used Win 8. I have almost no programs installed, I keep all my files on a SD card, I ran disk cleanup, and I moved the "previous operating system" files on SD card. But I still only 1.2 gig left available.
I read that win 8, there is a recovery partition that was needed to keep it in place. But when I look at the partitions in disk management it says that there is a 7 Gig "unallocated" partition and a 250 MB EFI partition. In addition to the primary partition.
Is - this 7 concerts really unallocated as unused? Is it always a true recovery partition or is it just an artifact to win the 8 that is no longer used? Can I combine the C partition and the 7 Gig partition unallocated, so I can actually reinstall MS Office?
Hi, Yes, looks like that when you have done the clean install of Windows 10, you did not wipe the entire hard drive clean first. The 7 GB partition you see is probably the Windows 8.1 recovery partition remains. You can delete it now that you run Windows 10, but you cannot extend the C: drive to include the recovered.
You can repeat the clean install new wiping clean the whole disc first. There are instructions here. I had 19 GB available on my C: drive after a new installation of Windows 10 on my 11 flow.

original title: the customer service is horrible
After I downloaded beta Security Essentials, my computer say suddenly that he was not a genuine copy of Windows running and locked up.
I called last night and got a foreign person has attempted to resolve the issues and could not, so he told me that I had to call back after 06:00 to speak to someone in the United States.So I called back today at 06:00 and got one of those who are running around things voice control that didn't fix my problem at all. After much effort, I got a live person. Again, it was a foreign person (why make me wait all night and get up early to call?!?!)This woman told me to restart. I told her that I had rebooted about 10 times since the day before and each time he took forever to load back up the box that tells me that I need to activate windows. She has reiterated, "I ask you to restart." I knew he wouldn't do ANYTHING, but I did and after the session it forever (as I told him it would be) she told me that I had to remind once I got up the box again. I called after that I got the box AND HAD TO START OVER again ONCE with someone new. Of course, she was trying to pass me to someone else.Of course, after all this trouble, no MS sells a product key for Vista, it is abandoned. So I need to go buy Windows 7 and she told me that I'll LOSE EVERYTHING when I install it - all my documents and family photos are gone forever. Why not take my money and sell me a product key instead of let me in trouble?The worst ever undertaken. Of course, MS doesn't care because they have a monopoly.You should not need to buy anything except the recovery disc for your machine (if the built-in recovery partition does not work), unless you really need Win 7 for some reason any.
That being said - the COA sticker on your machine is readable? If Yes, then you should have no problem with a Windows 7 upgrade version - but you will need to either use activation by phone, or installation methods described here...

MSVCR80.dll was not found after installing an update for iTunes
-5February2014 - yesterday I received an automatic update of iTunes (do not write update number) so I accepted the download automated and then with what I was doing on my PC. Later in the process, a message said something about unable to download or install or something, so I cancelled the iTunes update, thinking I would look into another time. This morning when I start my PC, as part of the service, I received a pop-up box that follows:
"Unable to locate component APSDaemon.exe. This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. »
At this point, that I'm not sure that the application did not start OR should I try to install. First of all, I restarted the PC, thinking it was just a ghost in the machine, but during and after the reboot issue I had the same error popup box. Of course, this does not affect the ability to control Outlook, mail, or go on the Internet, but I'm afraid that someday when I need that MSVCR80.dll, I'm having a problem. Can someone well tell me what I need to be concerned about or do to fix this "missing" file number, which is also be aggravated to the population of iTunes? Thank you.

I can't get into my computer. All I can get is the Task Manager. It shows all my still intact material, I'm not him. Not even to my home screen. All that appears is my screensaver and a message saying to re - install iertutil. DLL... but how to do when I can't.
Maybe someday, we will see again the proposal to:
Once you open the Task Manager try the commands below.
1. in the Task Manager, click file, and then click new task
2. now type rstrui.exe and click OK
This would launch the system restore on the computer refer the below Microsoft article more about the restoration of the system.
If you really try , you would find that it does not work because rstrui.exe is unlikely that never will be in the PATH statement.
If you want to launch the restoration of the system from the Task Manager, you will need to perform a new task like this:
%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe
If c:\windows\system32\iertutil.dll is missing, you will see a message like this:
Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component
The application has failed to start because iertutil.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.
Because explorer.exe is not running, you will see only your background image /, but Ctrl-Alt-Delete will always bring up the Task Manager where you can maneuver around and replace the file.
If the only problem with your system, it's that iertutil.dll is missing, you can replace the backup copy in the dllcache folder. You can continue to obtain reviews iertutil.dll is absent, but just click OK for messages of recall as they pop up so you can continue working.
One might think that you use the Task Manager, you can browse c:\windows\system32\dllcache and (after choosing to view all files) copy the iertutil.dll from there and then paste the iertutil.dll file in c:\windows\system32 where it belongs. That actually works, but it seems that it does not work as you will get an hour glass stuck on the paste operation and perhaps wonder whether or not it has actually worked.
To feel better replace the missing file, so you can actually see the file being copied and replaced... Task Manager, click file, new task and enter in the box (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):
cmd
Click OK to open a command prompt window and first make a copy of the original file (if it exists) by entering the following command:
copy c:\windows\system32\iertutil.old c:\windows\system32\iertutil.dll
That copies the file in progress if there is an and it will just complain if it is not a copy.
We know that XP likes to keep the backup copies of critical system files in this folder:
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache
Knowing this, copy the backup copy of the missing file and replace the missing or suspicious file by using this command:
Copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\iertutil.dll c:\windows\system32
Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.
Type "exit" to close the command prompt window.
Who will replace the missing or suspicious file and if that's all that's wrong with the system, Shut Down box Task Manager, you can choose to reboot your system and see how things are going.
Do, or do not. There is no test.
I decided to implement the points for a new puppy instead of a pony!

Problem reinstalling Windows XP
I'm having a problem reinstalling Windows XP. After formatting the disk and create partitions, it will not complete the installation. He goes back and reinstall Windows again. I go through the installation of 39 minutes, the computer restarts to complete and it loops back and start the installation again. Why it does this and what I can do to move beyond this?
Go into the BIOS and make sure that you your hard drive is not set to off, and that is the first priority boot CD and your second HD.
Don't push when it restarts anything just to let him do what he does and report back if anything I'm sorry I have no idea.

Hi Eric,.
You can follow these steps:
Step 1: perform a clean boot to verify if an application or service is causing the problem.
See this article for more information on the clean boot:

Follow the same steps for the mouse as well.If the problem persists, disconnect all non-essential devices (printers, scanners, USB drives). Restart the computer with only the original mouse, monitor, and
connected keyboard. If this solves the problem of sleep/wake, one of the devices was causing the problem. Replace a device at a time and test to see if the
problem occurs again. Continue adding devices and testing until you find the device that causes the problem.Refer to this article for additional troubleshooting steps.

Redesign existing external hard disks and still 6 Lightroom able to find existing photos.
I currently store my pictures on and an external hard drive. Lightroom 6 was not able to find the picture momentarily files. I inserted an external Flash DRIVE after removing the hard drive and the computer renamed the stick with the same drive letter that has been designated by Lightroom to store my photos. I could go into my Windows 10 and reset the player to the letter that Lightroom has given at the beginning of the external hard drive. However, I know this can happen again, if I connect any stick USD or another device, while the external hard drive is not connected to my laptop. I found the information that I can do the new designation of the final drive by choosing a letter it is 1/2 way or higher in the alphabet. I would like to turn an external hard drive on a strong letter, warns we hope this previous problem. My question is, if I already have a lot of pictures on this external hardrive with the designation of the current drive, how it becomes a higher letter and have 6 Lightroom recognizes files, now under the new designation of drive letter without having to go to each photo individually and manually force Lightroom 6 find each photo. It would take more time than I'd like to lose. Is there a way to get just 6 Lightroom to recognize the new disk designation has changed and is able to find all of the existing files?
I have read the ADOBE LightRoom 6 manual and seem not to be able to find anything on how to do it.
Any help would be welcome.
Thank you!
So in Windows, you can select a drive like q letter (or any other letter you want only towards the end of the alphabet)
Then in Lightroom, you can reconnect to the photos on q: the following instructions (see specifically 4 Figure and related text)
