  Recently, I moved the source (including the sidecar files) for work files off my C:\ to a backup disk, in a desperate move to take off a suddenly frigid Premiere Pro and still (C:\ drive space was extremely low).  I thought I was OK to do it, since I had exported all my final video files and confirmed that they looked fine (amount).  However, some of them were .m2t files, which still had no audio its chronology.  Much scrounging to find out later, I decided to try to re - export these files from their source PrPro projects, this time without audio multiplexing.  I expected to just move the source files in their new location.  It worked for most of the files, but not the .m2t file.

  Here are my patches attempts (failed):

  1. Use move function PrPro manually navigate to the file and select it.  (Fails.  File is not displayed in the location of the project and is still missing in the timeline.  "But PrPro generates no error to announce or explain the failure).
  2. Re-import the file in the current location.  (Fails.  I get "error importing generic," with zero further info.)
  3. Move the file (and the sidecar files) to the original location, then re - locate with PrPro.  (Fails, as 1.)
  4. Re-import a file in the location restored (after 3).  (Fails.  Same as (2).
  5. Copy and rename then file (and sidecar files) in restored location and then freshly import this file completely-news-to-PrPro.  (Fails.  Same as (2).

  I have not yet tried the things:

  1. Deleted cache.  I have read horror stories here on edit work days lost to empty cache, then now that I only once the discs are printed and iso are archived.
  2. Convert a file using another program .m2t. Strictly speaking, I tried with (groan) Windows MovieMaker, but it will not display an image larger than 740 x 480 (Yes, settings allow larger, but only as Giants black residents.)  I maybe reinstall my prior NLE (Avid Pinnacle) - should work, but may take hours to reinstall.

  Solution:

  I gave this fixation within PrPro and rather bought a type of video file converter.  I got Video Converter Ultimate of Wondershare, which was not too expensive and works well.  Now all my .m2t files are converted into file types PrPro like much better, and they import no problem in my project.

  I use CS4.

  I've created an animation in After Effects. I then imported it in first (I tried the dynamic link and reg import). Problem - is the video appear black - I do not see the animation.   I would say that trying to manipulate and composite a model of HD AE 3 minutes in a 32-bit version of Pr by using dynamic links is a sure recipe for frustration.  Go ahead and export an AVI file without loss (with Alpha - Millions of colors +) EI using Lagarith or the UT codec.  Be sure to select the option to include a link to the AE project file so that the command Edit Original in Pr will open the AE project if you need to make changes to the model of the AE later.

• I uplaoded a shared review in a digital system and cannot see all comments after the file is deleted from the review tracker. What is going on?

  I think that this is on purpose.  The review of files is deleted on the server if the author removes their "Sent" in the Adobe Tracker program review file review.  What we do is: once the review is completed, create a copy of "archives" that has the comments embedded permanently. Then you can remove it from your tracker, which removes the review and comments. Adobe sees comments shared as temporary spaces, I guess. Logic, if you look at it this way.

  If your procedure requires to keep a review will never, well, I guess you need to keep in your tracker.

  You can hide the old comments by creating a folder and moving them here (right click "sent", "create a new folder"). I don't think it's "with the help of your memory".

  Everyone has a problem with uploader suspended just after the file is supposed to be downloaded on the vendor Portal? I make it as far as this screen and you can get no further. I tried in Firefox 3.6 (?), 4.0, IE9, IE 8 with no luck in one of them. The most frustrating aspect is trying to download on March 30, it did not work so I thought it could have been a problem with the signature on the app.

  OK, according to the App World vendor Support should be good to clear for the free offer of the Playbook.   My name change model is: number Text_Sequence Custom (3 digits)

  Let's say my custom text is '20100702_LR', Lightroom shows me that the file name must be "20100702_LR_001.nef" and so on.

  However, for some reason, sometimes Lightroom randomly assigns '-1' after the file name, such as "201007_LR_002-1.nef.

  It doesn't seem to follow a rule. Sometimes this junk "-1" suffix is appended to the file, sometimes it is not.

  no conflict but a bug. Sometimes (in my case and others reported it also, do a search on this forum) If you have renamed during the import, deleted files after import in a selection process and renamed / becomes again with the same text/preset etc. It worked normal in LR2.x now, is no more.

  Workaround: a false name and rename and rename it again with the name of the preset you wants it to be.

  For above 4.3 and higher, you can use API call to achieve this. In regards to my understanding, it works as follows (Please correct if I am wrong).

  -All files (PDF, excel etc) readers save with BONE graft as "I am able to open the file whose mime the type XXX.

  - So, when you pass the path to the API Invocation, it searches for reader app there is place and request that you open the file. (I know not if more a reader installed in the device that achieved reference)

  Here's the code that worked for me,

  Registry registry = Registry.getRegistry("");
  registry.invoke(invocation);
  

  If none of the application saved in the requested file format it then throws the exception.

  Another option is to pass the path to the browser by using the private API to display the files...
