• vCenter Storage Monitoring Service Service initialization failed after the upgrade from 5.1 to 5.5

  I recently upgraded from vCenter 5.1 to 5.5. After the upgrade, I started getting health warnings for the VMware vCenter monitoring of Storage Service that say "failed to initialize the Service." I restarted the vCenter server and restart services several times and who has not deleted the question. When I look in the SMS. LOG file there is no activity in it since I did the upgrade (a week or more there). All prior activity in the SMS. JOURNAL seems to be well upward until the upgrade took place though. I found at least half a dozen KB articles that describe the various reasons why this error may occur, but they all relate to older versions of vCenter. Just to be complete, although I saw the symptoms in the articles and none of them really seem to be the same as what I see. My hypothesis is that perhaps the SMS did not get properly re-installed upgrading because I don't see any SMS subdirectory in the directory \Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\tomcat\webapps but I do not know if this directory must exist on a 5.5 installation.

  If you would be grateful if anyone has any advice for troubleshooting for this type of error.

  Change the credentials of the service account for VMware vSphere Profile-Driven Storage Service to those used to start the VMware vCenter Server service and the service of VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices. By default, the account used Local System.

  I have recently upgraded the OS on my laptop PC Compaq Presario CQ60 224NR Vista Service Pack 2 to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 1.  I updated the drivers before upgrading and checked for the latest drivers after upgrade also.  After the upgrade, the keyboard of the laptop works only partially when I use a web browser.  This includes IE and Firefox.  Above the QWERTY keys do not work correctly.  If I press one of these keys or SHIFT and one of these keys, the last character, symbol, or space I typed before is repeated instead.  Y at - it a fix for this problem?

  Well, I searched for several hours and found a solution, at least for me I am a customer of Comcast and I installed constant guard.  There is a key logger that is included in the package that it causes the problem.  I uninstalled GuardedID and my problem disappeared.  I hope it works for you.

  My H/W is Dell XPS 13 / 9350, i7/6560U, 16 GB of RAM, Intel Iris 540, win 10 Pro (x 64) Ver.1607.

  I was running on Photoshop CC 2015 until recently updated to 2015.5 CC.

  I have had no problem of what Photoshop if running before the update.

  After the update I get corrupted photos photos 2 and 3 out of 10 when I run the Batch of sharpness.

  
  (the rectangular size is the same, but color, opacity or numbers vary from photo to photo...)

  This corrupt trend occurs more frequently especially if I run another photo, navigation program.

  The funny thing is, if I have smart sharpen with legacy checked above trend does not occur.

  But then I can't use function 'Noise' because it disappears if "Legacy" is ticked

  It also completely disappears if I uncheck the GPU or OpenGL in preferences, but there

  about 5 times as long to do the job.

  FYI, I have the latest video driver from Dell.

  If someone out there have a smart solution, it would make my day!

• Error 1026 "VI reference is invalid" after the upgrade from 2015 to 2016 LabVIEW LabVIEW

  I just upgrade to LabVIEW LabVIEW 2015 2016 and met a "1026 error".

  Main program calls a VI sub that contains a server VI reference "VI this" connected to a Refnum output on the pane. The Refnum of the output of the Sub that VI is then used to get the 'name of vi", which is used as an input in the node"Reference VI"open. The program works very well in 2015 from LabVIEW.

  For some reason, in labVIEW 2016, the Refnum of the Sub output Vi returns a "step A Refnum", when it is used to get the name of 'Vi', issuing an "error 1026". On the other hand, if I open the sub first Vi (therefore in the meory), then run my main program, it works fine.

  Can someone explain what has changed between LabVIEW 2015 and 2016 that can lead to this issue.

  This code will result in the sub VI being released in ' reference to ' instead of having to use the server reference VI as an input for the property node. You can simply delete the VSR to reference to.

  Method 1: If the computer is in power saving mode, check if you can wake the computer from this State by moving the mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard.

• The upgrade from Photoshop CS3 to CS6

  I'm upgrading photoshop CS3 to CS6 on Windows 7.

  I downloaded the two files: 13_LS16.exe and Photoshop_LS167z Photoshop.

  However, it has not installed correctly.

  I can only open CS6 if I click on the LS167z file (open with the PS).

  And even if it opens I get the message: could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document.

  CS3 is still as it was.

  As Pierre said, it works as it should. Old versions remain in place and their uninstall after the fact will be mostr definitely spoil the gall associations, so if you don't mind leave everything in place.

  Hello. I began to think about the upgrade. I like making art, even if I can afford to go. There has been a lot of times I watch speedpaints. Most digital artists use CS6 and looks like it does a great job with the painting. Just use the paint bucket and there is no need for additional coloring to look right, they can use the pen tool and fix it, and they can easily color contours.

  I have Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, which was given to me as a gift a few years ago. I hope that I can take the brushes, gradients, styles, and swatches for her if I update.

  You should be able to migrate your brushes, presets, actions etc. styles.  I'm not a painter, and so I can't tell you if you if CS6 has much better painting features than CS5.    To obtain an upgrade of the CS6, you will need to call Adobe directly. Adobe will try to talk to you when you subscribe to CC instead of upgrading to CS6.

  VMware support solve my problem:

  We have seen two issues after the update.

  First of all, there is no user of the solution for the virtual center when I checked the application users with SSO to the webclient service administration page.
