  After days and days of the trial, an online chat with a technician Microsoft (which was useless) I finally found a suggestion that worked... I had to create a new user account with administrative privileges. Media worked perfectly in this new account! I then spent ages downloading the files from my old account before deleting completely.   If the drive is listed in Device Manager, you should try to remove it, and then restart the laptop.

The new version is slightly different to the former, but I have finally it come back and have got rid of the Installshield R Setup and Setup.Exe problems.   Method 1:

  Temporarily disable UAC and check if the problem persists.

  1. open Control Panel.
  2. under the user account and family settings click on the "add user account / remove."

  4. in the user account, click on the link "go to the main page of the user account.
  5. under "Make changes to your user account", click on the link "change security settings".

  In order to diagnose the problem, you can check in the event viewer to determine the cause of the error and after return with details of the event viewer.

  What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

  You can try to add it in the exception for the prevention of execution of data and check that it works.

  a. go to Start, Control Panel and click on System.
  b. now, click on the Advanced tab, and under performance, click settings.
  c. click on Data Execution Prevention , and then select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: radio button.
  d. now click on the Add button and navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and choose the regsvr32.exe file. When you receive the message indicating it could make your computer becomes vulnerable to attack and unprotected, simply click OK to continue.

Also if you have recently added a toolbar or of any custom theme and then disable it. then reboot in normal mode and see if the problem persists. It will be useful.
