  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L25-S1216. I had some bad virus, so I used the TOSHIBA Windows XP Recovery and Applications/drivers DVD provided with the computer when I bought it. The recovery process seems to be okay: he seemed to format the disk and copy the files from the DVD to the hard drive. He copied about 5 600 MB hard disk for about 10 minutes and 40 seconds.

  But the computer does not boot from the hard drive after using the recovery DVD. I tried the process several times and it does not start in Windows XP on the hard drive.   Not sure how a restore xp cd may give you the option to start the recovery console.

  With a regular xp, recovery cd / repair console is launched all simply by selecting the 'r' on the configuration screen.  Subsequently, the recovery console opens and takes you to the drive prompt.

  In any case, what I suggest is to execute commands to drive at the command prompt that could make the drive bootable again.

  the commands are:

  Chkdsk /r

  Fixboot

  bootcfg /rebuild

  FIXMBR

  Normally, fixmbr running on a laptop is not recommended because it disables the hidden partition that contains the files for recovery.  Then re-enable it manually, is not easy. But since you have your on dvd, then you are lucky.

  I found that it is more difficult to explain than I thought

  I don't like the new behavior in the latest version of Photoshop (CC 2015.1) regarding the way in which the background layers automatically unlock and convert to regular layers after using the crop tool. It's completely different to how things worked in previous versions, where a background layer remained in locked state flattened after using the crop tool.

  I get a LOT of images and this change has added an extra step to each image that I harvest, because I flatten the layers after cropping before saving the image. I looked through the preferences but cannot find a way to change this new behavior. Am I missing something?

  I use 32 bit Windows 7 with all updates installed and Adobe Reader 11.0.11. After using the files of a PDF acrobat reader email feature send it crashes. The window is not frozen, but when I click on the X to close the document, nothing happens. I see the button push, but the window remains open. File-> exit does not work either. I can't open another PDF until I use taks Manager to close the Adobe Reader software.

  I tried to uninstall and reinstall drive, I created a new Windows user profile nothing helps. This happens on any PDF file I have open and click send a file.

  Disable protected mode solved the problem.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled again. I was forced to do all my first edit in there usinf the brush, then use the tool red eyes as the last step. But any time that I commit the brush after using the red eye tool, it crashes instantly

  It seems something funny on your establishment for sure that there is not a wide spread thing.

  What exactly is your establishment and where are the various files located - catalogue, images, etc.
