  One of our customers had problems connecting to their server environment terminal server home wireless. I narrowed down it to their network with wireless at home. An Aironet 1142 was purchased to be placed on their home network to ensure that wireless connectivity will not be a problem in the future.

  I'm trying to configuring it to use it, but I am unable to connect to the web interface and I don't have a transfer convenient to access the console cable. It is currently connected directly to a cisco House (not a managed switch) switch typical. I am also connected via ethernet. I confirmed that the WAP Gets an IP address from the DHCP server, but the LED on indicator flashes red, green and amber. Configuration guide mentions it will do that if it cannot reach the area of management, but in a home network I don't know really what it means.

  Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I was tasked to deliver to the customer's home, from 08:00 tomorrow...

  Set your ethernet IP 10.0.0.2 comp

  Set up the model as the TFTP server using the ethernet interface

  Drop IOS image in TFTP folder and rename the file: c1140-k9w7 - tar.default

  Are you sure you want to go this way instead of fix the problem? Don't forget to save and export the messages you want to keep.

  From time to time, apparently at random, the volume resets to the level that I put it at a lower default volume (?). I also noticed what is happening with that power settings, where I try to adjust when the views will disable when my machine is plugged in, he'll recover from time to time the default value of 15 minutes.

  I can not get the dropdown to work as I need. All things considered, this seems to be the best control for what I need but I can't seem to restore the default option.

  I have a strange behavior on my standalone 1142, it's been 2 days now. No clients can connect to this topic.

  The config has been reset 5 times already, even tried with 3 different versions of IOS and still nothing.

  I put this up ever since a few years back now and it worked perfectly.

  3 days ago, I changed the PSK, it worked fine for one day and then it happened.

  I get the authentication failure of all devices that tried to connect to this topic, I even changed the configuration with no authentication, radio stations are open, the two SSID with no guarantee whatsoever, and even with no encryption I can't connect on it.

  Really strange, I was setting up Cisco AP for many years and now I have a black out... I don't know I'm missing something, I can't understand what it is...

  Any help about it please?

  If not, you should remove the

   mobility network-id 3

  and the

   mobility network-id 1

  statements that they are for communication with the WLSM

  Yes.  It is a normal behavior.  WISN-1 doesn't have a clock in his system.  It makes no financial sense to design a material with a built-in clock when no one uses this function anyway.  WISN-1/2 is "housed" in a chassis and possibly with a valid NTP synchronization.  So why not point the NTP it.  It is the philosophy of all this.

  Why don't you configure NTP?
