  • 850 - 009na M1Z34EA #ABU: CPU fan for the 850-009na feel like Phoenix does not turn down after the power - on self test unless the BIOS is entered

    Hello

I have posted responses to other posts on this topic, but thought I'd start a new thread to gather my conclusions. I'm sorry for a trial

This PC is virtually brand new (only a few weeks now) and otherwise perform exceptionally.

Basically, if the machine is disconnected from the power grid (i.e. the power is off at the plug or the power cord removed), when the machine is supplied then the CPU fan turns over 2000 rpm and stays there. All the other PC that I do this too, but the fan will slow down after turning upward. I know that this is done as part of the POST to check that the fan is running.

If I go into any installation of seed, start-up or BIOS for example (i.e. by pressing ESC or F10 etc.), the fan will slow down immediately up to 700 rpm. It will stay like that until the next time the machine is started against the cold. If I shut down the PC - watch or stop - but do not cut the power supply, then the next time the machine is started, the fan is still about 700 rpm. It is not to turn up to 2 k + RPM when lit.

As soon as I unplug, then the next time the PC boots, it will turn to the top and I have to repeat steps - off, boot, enter the BIOS, exit and continue. It is something to do with the cold start.

Note that I don't have to do anything in the start menu - I for example go to the BIOS settings, exit without saving the changes, and the fan will still slow. It's going in the boot sector that slows down the fan.

When the PC started out-of-the-box, I opted for the upgrade to Windows 10 during installation. I have read in various places that people had experienced after the upgrade, so I reset the machine to factory settings (Win 8.1) and have not upgraded, but the problem persisted. However convinces me that Windows 10 has been removed completely, as when I went to restore the backup image (i.e. dating back to what I had before the factory reset) there are references to 10 Windows (for example, it says 'Continue to Windows 10' as well as various food options). I do not understand UEFI so I don't know if that was involved.

I tried to change the power plan options "Processor power management-> cooling system strategy" on the liabilities side, but no joy there.

I think that the fan and sensors work, based on the findings below. These readings of temp and fan are taken from AIDA64

After starting cold (current was cut, without entering the BIOS), machine runs dry without load

Exactly the same thing--starting in cold, but go in the BIOS, do nothing and continue. Once again, no load

This is after power off and resarting, but to let the PC network

After the above, I used Prime95 to put the CPU support (use of 95-100%), and after an hour, the readings are:

Note that even so, the fan was not particularly strong, but it's at 2222 rpm as in the first reading.

If I play at 4K (the whole point of the PC ) the CPU so far got very warm, the GPU is but his fan turns up as planned.

In conclusion, it seems that the POST has a problem because it does not slow down the fan after the test.

I can live with let the machine always plugged into the sector (for example, most of the time) and I guess that's what most people do, but I would like to know what the problem is (for example if it's really something 10 Windows, or a bug in the BIOS/UEFI)

    Thank you very much!

    John

Explain you a lot of people who maybe have returned their system immediately because of this? Others might judge normal sound. Not irritable average is not coming here to complain. Others might judge her so little. They simply don't like. You will never convince me that is not a BIOS problem. As the problem resolves itself when you enter manually each time. It can be reproduced every time.

  • Satellite Pro C650 - cooling fan does not work

My Satellite Pro C650 overheats and stops automatically within 20 minutes of leaving upwards. I checked the CPU fan and noticed that it does not turn upward, even if the laptop would become very hot. I tested the fan with a 9 volt battery and it works perfectly.

Can someone tell me exactly what the problem is? And how to solve it.

    Thank you.

    > Can someone tell me exactly what the problem is?
On this virtual path, no one can say with certainty what the problem is. We can only speculate what may be the problem.
Usually, cooling fan starts immediately after starting the laptop slows down and offers the optimum temperature of material. After reading your ad I didn t understand how it works. He turns and there is no sign of life?
    Problem can be power.
Cooling fan will be controlled by sensors of temperature and activity depends on the temperature of the material but if your machine cooling fan does not work, I imagine that there is no electric power.

  • Pavilion g7-1368dx "cooling fan does not work correctly.

Greetings. I have a HP Pavilion g7-1368dx laptop with Windows 7 I bought in June 2012, is no longer under warranty.

A few weeks ago he had a thermal cut-out once during use. After cooling, the laptop works very well for a few uses, but then it has started giving the boot warning message, "the system has detected that a cooling fan is not working properly," with an additional indication of the damage if the computer is used in this State.

I ordered a new fan and succeeded him, and I cleaned the fan grille in the process (although it wasn't very dirty), but I still get the same fan error message. I went to the HP website and saw the suggestion to do a "hard reset", so I did it, but the problem persists.

I saw another suggestion to try a BIOS update, but I thought that would not be desirable because the fan does not work. Suggest you go through with the attempt to update the BIOS anyway?

Is there something else I can try before ordering a new card system?

    Thanks for your help.

    > The use of Ubuntu, because with XP there start but if the processor is cold it is stop! and restart and etc...
If I understand correctly using the Win XP the fan does not always with some breaks. Is this good?

This isn't a problem but a friend feature.
As you know the GPU creates a lot of heat.

This is why it is important that the fan is way on and to cool the GPU or CPU if the temperature reached and some point.
I put t know what temperature must be reached, but it cannot be too high due to overheating problems.

Second graphics driver Toshiba control the performance of GPU and the dissipation of the heat too. If the temperature rises to a critical level (applications executing heavy performance) the diver decreases performance to ensure that the heat dissipation would come down.

But this happens only if the cooling module will not be able to cool the internal temperature.

  • Satellite A110 stop suddenly - processor fan does not work

    Hello!

The CPU on my brand-new A110 fan does not work. The laptop turns off suddenly, without hibernation or standby for any CPU consuming activity.

Can it be linked to a configuration / software problem? If so, how to check?
    Thank you very much.

    Hello

For me, it looks like a hardware malfunction. If the fan does not work as it should then it has nothing to do with the software.
The A110 seems to be a very new unit and I n t think that the dust and debris are responsible of these automatically shut down.

Why you n t take your warranty? If the warranty is valid must be checked and replaced for free

  • My HP laptop cooling fan does not work.

Okay, so. I have a HP Pavilion 1145sg g6. It worked fine all morning, and then I put sleep temporarily (about ten to twenty minutes). When I went to turn it on, the screen was black and he said something along the lines of

"the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work correctly. Suite operation is not recommended at this time... may result in unpredictable behavior that may result closed random, loss of data or damage the system as possible. »

Then after a few seconds it stops completely. There is an option to continue with the summary of the system and I clicked once on it, but she didn't go through completely for allowing me to use my laptop properly (I arrived at my wallpaper and it stopped).

This has never happened before, and I never had any problem with my laptop, like this before. I have had him since last August, and it worked pretty well through until today. Of course, the system sometimes, accused but nothing serious, for the most part just aggravating.

    How can I fix?

Someone said here that they stung the fan with a hairpin and it started working. I took a toothpick and switched my laptop and tried to move the fan and the fan started WALLA on! I noticed that a lot of dust in there and that's probably the culprit first event hough I keep this laptop clean every day, this darn dust is sneaky and small. If you use a toothpick, make sure not to break anything especially the toothpick. last thing you want to do is cause more harm. Now that I think I don't remember when the last fan worked and if it wasn't for the message that popped up today I would not of the same notice I wasn't to hear the fan because last week I said "wow is not the substance of this portable super hot feeling", but I just thought that my fiance was simply playing games on the computer for too long and that's why he was hot. He never closes the computer off smh. in any case, I'm very happy I read this post of a person using the PIN to hair. That's what forums are all about. Help each other. I hope it works for you. Be gentle, try pushing the way fan propellers in clockwise. Use a flashlight to see if dust or anything like that is by the way to allow the fan to run its on.  I blew in the vents, but it did have almost all of the dust of the road.  All of these messages, it seems this is a common problem. Good luck

  • Satellite P105 - GPU overheating as fan does not work

I brought a Satellite P105 - S9337 laptop computer around a year ago and it's been great, but I had a problem that began a few months ago. The GPU fan does not run under windows or any OS. It works correctly in the BIOS, but when I hit the operating system, it will stop. This is obviously the cause for overhead.

-J' tried different drivers of Toshiba and other sources. Currently using 7.15.11.5666 which was the last version of Toshiba.
-Tried all BIOS and running 4.40.
-Cleaned it if sure there is no dust blocking the fan wheel.
-I even sent to Toshiba for repair 4 times and it comes back with the same question.

It's as if the fan control is equal to change the operating system when it reaches him like bios and basic OS (dos, the flash media bootable back past) works very well. It runs when she is hot and stops when it is ok.

At the moment that I leat overheating for a while then he seems to remember he's a fan after 30 minutes or more and comes into play. It works on OS at full speed, until my laptop loses power or I unplug battery, that I did today to increase the RAM.

There must be some drivers or BIOS out there that allows the BIOS to manage the fan or it just as it manages itself is so it doesn't overhead. I'm not pleading can someone help me with what it's getting very boring. e-mail is [[email protected]] If you want to contact me, because I'm out of ideas.

If I can't get this resolved I'm thinking of dismantling and wiring of the fan on but would prefer to avoid that for now.

My laptop (P100-481) was overheating too since I have updated BIOS 4.20 and above all. The latest version of the BIOS with work-fan control was 4.00.

There are two ways to set the fan control:

1 go to BIOS 4.00. You'll get stuttering in games because the initialization of GPU in the form of Versions all 3.30 to 4.00 are buggy.

    2. you can try this way: [http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?s=679696d192a1f43137253716ebd799b8&showt = 19190 CIPO & view = findpost & p = 79039]

It's not easy install a double Windows, but it worked for me.

There is a bug in the BIOS 4.20 4.30 and 4.40 and a lot of people have trouble with the GPU fan. So hopefully Toshiba find time to fix it in the near future.

  • Satellite Pro 6100: error message - cooling fan does not work

    Hello
I have a SP6100 and it keeps giving me an error message about the cooling fan does not. Then he tells me to stop immediately and runs very slowly. The fan come on, but after three or four short bursts it stops and the message appears.
Is it a mechanical problem with the fan? I took out the radiator and the fan, and it was clean and not sticky.
What is a system problem? The BIOS has recently been updated.
Should I just invest in a new cooling unit and if so where would I get one?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you.

  • Satego X 200 - 21U: fan does not

Good my X 200 - 21U Satego fan does not work, never.

The symptoms for her overheating if there is a game with graphics more difficult and after 5 to 10 minutes it just turns off completely.
It never all working temperature Vista and CPU, even though the game never exceeds 52 degrees C. So it should be the temperature of the GPU, that I can't control, which rises.

The laptop itself is only about a month so there should not be any dust or dirt inside. I tried blowing into the fan, while the laptop was closed and there was no sign of dust coming out.

My question is if there is a way to solve this problem by software means or what I need to send it in for repair?

    Thanks in advance

  • Satellite A500D - fan does not stop

    Hello

Two days ago I updated the Bios to version 1.20 win, and since then, the fan is constantly at 72% and the temperature of the CPU at 36 º.

At Toshiba, I say it is normal, but the fan does not stop at any time and the noise is annoying.

Anteriormento updated the BIOS, the fan stopped and started and never surpassed 54%.

Looks like a vergueza by the care service, they have given me, I tried to deceive, as is normal for a portable fan that keeps 72%.

Please I need someone to tell me where I can download before my Bios and how to install it.

PS: My processor ens Turion Rm-77.

    A welcome message

    Hello

You mean the cooling module fan didn't run all the time with the previous BIOS version?

Well, in this case you must downgrade BIOS to the previous version.
The problem is that you can download the latest version of the BIOS from the Toshiba page.

But maybe a Toshiba ASP might help you and may downgrade the BIOS to the previous version

But have you tried to change the settings in Win 7 power option?
You can find it in the control panel-> power options

There you can change modes of single power supply.
In the power settings advanced, you'll find settings Toshiba energy saver and there you can change the method of cooling while the laptop is running on battery or power.

  • Satellite A10 S203: the CPU fan does not work properly?

I have toshiba satellite a10 s203 and the cpu fan does not work correctly. What can I do about it?

    Hi SACRIFICE them.

Here are some possible solutions to this problem of fan.

    1. When you have installed a base installation of MS (not the Toshiba Recovery CD) you need to install the Toshiba Power Saver and others utilities from the CD tools & utilities. The energy saver is responsible for the control of the fan.

    2. If you have a recovery based OS, you can update the energy saver of http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com site Web Toshiba under Support & Downloads - Download Driver

If please check this and an answer then follow the next step!

  • A60 Pro satellite fan does not

    Hi all

I have a problem with my sons laptop. Intermittently, the fan does not start and after a while, the computer overheats and stops.

The problem is not the fan itself, it runs for a few seconds when always first turned, but then sometimes does not start again.

When this happens, the only way I can get the fan works again is to remove the battery (with no power applied area) and leave the laptop for a little while, then re - turn on the power (battery or sector, it's okay)

Only, I arrived at this "difficulty" by accident after many hours of troubleshooting, upgrade the BIOS, cd restore and apply all other updates from the support site (which did nothing).
When 'fixed' portable tracks without penalty - until the next time, he decides to "free" itself!
The closest I can find as to the cause of this is that it seems to happen when the battery has been recently fully charged (i.e. charged during the night), but it is by no means certain that the fault will be re appear.

As part of my diagnostic tests, I installed a utility material, which shows that, in default conditions, the CPU temperature is always reported as 18 centigrade monitoring. It never varies.
When you are working correctly (the fan) the CPU temperature is shown as variant.

My best guess is that is some sort of glitch in the system management bus and eliminating completely any kind of power it resets somehow.

If anyone has any suggestions on how (if?) I can cure this permanently, I would be very grateful.

Have scoured the forums for references, I've not found anything about this problem.

    Thank you
    Steve

    Hello

I agree with you when you say that it is a very special problem. Because of this, I really put t think you will be able to find a quick fix to this problem. Fan behavior is really strange, but watch the CPU temperature is also unrealistic and it is about 60 C and cannot be 18 C as shown.

The fact is that fan activity depends on the temperature of the system and sensors to measure the temperature. Here, we can speculate on all, but believe me, the device must be checked properly. I'm 100% sure it's hardware related issue and installation or recovery will probably not solve the problem.

As you can see preinstalled monitor tool completely unrealistic show its temperature and it has something completely mixed up.

I recommend you contact the partner of service allowed in your country and let check the device and the motherboard. They have designed special tools and I don't know that they can give you an exact explanation what the problem is.

  • Satellite L505 - 10 X cooling fan does not work

Dear friends, good computer Toshiba Satellite L505 - 10 X Day.My laptop cooling fan does not work. The CPU temperature is not displayed in the application of PC health Monitor. Kindly guide me to solve this problem, cordially, Siva

Simply because the temperature is not mentioned in the Toshiba Health Monitor, it doesn't mean, that the cooling fan is not working properly.

You can hear fan running cooling?
The laptop is turned off unexpectedly?

In my opinion if the cooling fan would not properly work, internal temperature should rise very quickly at a critical level... in this case that the laptop must close automatically...

But if the device does not turn off and if you are still able to use it properly, so I doubt that there is a problem with the cooling module.
