  Yes, all 4 USB ports on the USB3.0 is mine. With my HDMI cable, I don't have to replace it, and on all other computers, it worked fine. On the Alienware, the HDMI port itself which is a pain, as it does with external monitors and televisions, unless I give him a strength, it will not detect.

  HP solved the problem free of charge, including shipping in both directions and repair.

  It took ten days in total, and we used the laptop without a problem for about 10 days more.

  It seems that the hinges for laptop and the display case were entirely replaced, and no data has been lost.

  My son is thrilled to have his laptop in return, and to my eyes, HP just went through.

  I wouldn't hesitate to buy another HP product, although I confess in the hope that:

  (1) HP manufacuring no longer uses defective parts

  (2) HP treats everyone with this problem of hinge with the same care

  Here are the different ways to reinstall vista:

  Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

  also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

  you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

  Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

  Found the answer. Thought post and leave this place just in case somebody stumbles on this problem. The basic solution is simple, and I broke it down to an approach more friendly for users of computers laptop pc panicked.

  1. right click of the mouse on the empty office space, open the desktop menu.

  2. from this menu, highlight the option at the bottom that reads "Customize." This will open a new window with options for different types of alterations included (categories are available under each button).

  3. in the preferences window, select the button titled "Mouse pointers" by double-clicking. That, Yes, yet another window will open.

  4. in this window "Mouse pointer", select the last tab on your right, called "device settings".

  5. When you reach the "Device settings" tab, you will see a box of mouse options for your laptop. Yours will probably read "Touchpad", just like me.

  6. Once you have highlighted this, go ahead and click on 'settings' immediately under this box with the device "Touchpad" highlighted. Yes, this will take you to another window. The solution is close, though.

  7. Once you have reached this window in the 'Touchpad' device, then click the 'Settings' button, you will see a menu to the former. Mouse over the branch called "Tapping" and double click (remember double click).

  8. This catalogue will display a reading pane on the side of this window on the top right. In this little reading of the right part of the window pane, you will see an icon with a checkbox and a statement next to it - if it is empty (which is considering probably your inability to use the tapping), so we had to check this box to display a check mark.

  9. this last step is to look on the bottom right of this screen and click on the button 'Apply' reading. Proceed to close all the previous boxes and enjoy your privileges of tapping (whether using the Red Cross at the top right or the 'Ok' button on the edges of the bottom of each screen).

  You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
  Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
  correctly.

  Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

  CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and may your reading/reading on the edge outside these discs
  tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

  If you want to make sure that you will be able to get the Apple support in case of problems or questions with your backups, you must use the wireless Time Capsule to back up your Mac.

  As long as the time Capsule provides a wireless signal, you can decide who to your 'main' network, then use it wireless Uverse for "guest", or children. If you do not need the Uverse router/modem wireless at all, it is possible to turn off wireless on the device and make it work only as a support modem/router...with Uverse wired.

  At this point, you can start thinking about how you want to configure things and get back in touch if you need some advice on how to do it.  We need to know what operating system that uses the Mac that you normally use to administer the time Capsule, provide good instructions, if you need it.
