Alignment of columns HTML

column width sets the width of each column in the report table. The value you enter must be in inches or centimeters, depending on the settings that you enter in the measurement system for the column width. The default value is 1. For HTML reports, the VI multiplies the value by 100 to set the width of the column in pixels.

Note If you set column width a high value and send several data columns in VI, the VI automatically resizes the width of the columns to fit the width of the report on a single page.

  • Presentation of the bulletin, by aligning the columns, paragraph breaks, and lines of text

    Hello

    I've never drawn a newsletter before.

    It's annoying me because I try to be as meticulous as possible with my alignment, but I noticed there are all things that don't align.

    I have a paragraph style, with a space before and after. I have three columns. When I look at a line of text across all columns of three, they are not aligned. May they line up if I had all the text directly and no image wraps, but the envelopes of the image and the beginning of a new paragraph in column 2, throws the alignment in column 3.

    What is the best way to align things with the least possible effort?

    Are there tutorials on good bulletin of the layout-design? Presentation of the grid?

    Thank you

  • Alignment of columns

    I have a document in Word that has different heading styles.  In DSM, the document is a single column.  I send the document in the ID that is set up for a three column layout. The lines of text align more column to column:

    junk.jpg

    How talented ID people to deal with this?  Should I get rid of the styles and recreate their ID vertically spacing that will equalize or what? Someone smarter than me who uses every day ID for long documents must have understood something.

    Thank you very much.  BTW: so far, Adobe guys, this version is excellent compared to the first, which was good for people to design short documents, but did not have a lot of people like me who create longer.

    It is the position of the baseline of the first line of text in a frame. You can find it in the text frame Options dialog box.

  • How can I individually to align different columns in a text frame?

    I've searched and searched, but I can't find someone who asked that, perhaps, it is not possible? I have a circle, and it contains, I have 6 columns of text. Basically I want to align left most column to the left, to the right to the right, and more centered downtown. Is there a way to treat these columns differently. Now if I even select a single line and align it somehow, the entire circle re - align (which I am used to, but want to break that mold for this project). And Yes, the copy is threaded through the columns.

    Thanks a lot for any help I can get!

    Hello

    Why not insert 2 carriage return: 1 at the end of the column of the 1st and 2nd at the end of the 5th! Then play with alignments.

  • Apex 4.2 - column HTML expression

    I have a (classical) in 4.0.2 Apex SQL statement with the next column
      decode(some_col,NULL,NULL,'class="foo"') foo
    This column does not appear in the report, but the value is used to construct the HTML Expression in another column that appears. The HTML Expression goes like this
     <img #FOO# src="/i/menu/add-small.png"/>
    It is a CSS snippet that img.foo styles as needed.

    In v4.0.2, this is made in the form
     <img class="foo" src="/i/menu/add-small.png"/>
    But in 4.2, it comes out as
     <img class=""foo"" src="/i/menu/add-small.png"/>
    Notice the doubling of the quotes. In addition to being the invalid markup, the CSS is not kick in if the element is not get made.

    Is this a bug? Either my app just against the ongoing effort to generate markup more meets standards? Is there a solution?

    Thank you

    Hi Vikas,

    can you please check what type of ' display under "your column"foo"is. Is - this "show as text (escape special characters, no State not sure)".

    For security reasons (to avoid possible XSS attacks), need to improve automatic column values avoidance, if a column is used as the value of substitution (in expressions of HTML and other places). Type "display as" the substitute column defines if the value must be escaped before replacement or if it should be used without change. So in your case if you change your column "foo" to "* Standard report column *" you should get 'foo' without the quotes escaped. To my knowledge, this security change was introduced in APEX 4.1.

    If I'm on the wrong track and it's not your symtom, can you please create a test on apex.oracle.com case.

    Concerning

  • Title, title, line-Align multi-column Tables

    File under: trouble Frame, with a little hacky work-around

    In the format of two columns we work routinely, we often need a table that is on the scale of the column, but maybe take in several columns.

    The problem is that the title suite (TableTitle, if used) and never align with the departure of position/title. That's because continuations are starting at the top of the column, while the table itself begins (default "Anywhere") under the anchor line (supposed to be 'in the column' for this discussion)...

    OK, what happens if we change Table > start [Basic] table designer to:

    • Top of the column: Oops, which becomes the top of the Next column, leaving the anchor text column-widower (but it gave me an idea).
    • Top of the Page: Oops, who becomes top of the Next page, leaving the anchor text page-widowed.
    • Float: no effect

    OK, what happens if we change the anchor text Format > paragraph > Format by Designer [paging] to:

    • [Paging] in all of the columns (AAC): Oops, table appears only in the left column on all pages, or;
    • Spacing between lines, including negative and space [base] values seems to have no effect. Using a tiny police only minimizes the problem and he's not healing.

    I thought that I had found how to solve this problem at some point, but did not remember it. I'm writing this in part to seek a simpler solution. Web research has found only one candidate, solid solution, and it was, of course, 404. Perhaps chassis versions have at least the FM7/Win and FM7.1/Unix that I regularly use improvements to this address.

    We normally just to work around the problem by using an AAC format and a table that spans the page, with a gutter of fake Center, simulating a stream of multiple column. In a recent case, I wanted a real wide single-column table of length variable (due to the conditional lines and expected future growth), but I wanted the items to align columns. The table raised on one page, which is a limitation of the next cut.

    Hack: This example requires a text block and page 2-column normal which is 7.5 in wide with a gutter in 0.24 (3.63 in. columns) and a table do not require more than one page. It works for both the provisions 3 and 4 columns.

    1. Use an AAC anchored text frame line.
    2. Create a frame of width (7.5 in.) anchored full page (which may be low, the top of the pass, as you wish).
    3. Create a block of text inside the anchored frame. This framework is:
      one more than your standard page (3-column for this example)
      Same size gutter (0.24 in. for this example).
      Initially pull the block of text to fit inside the frame anchored, so you can get it easily.
    4. Make sure that the default paragraph format (anchored table) of the first column is "in the column".
    5. Use graphics > properties of the object to set the text block inside:
      The value of width: your total width of the text frame standard most 1 column and 1 gutter (11,37 in. for this example).

    Set Offsets: from 0 to 0 (this will push the column at the right out of sight for the moment).
  • Insert your table as soon as the text table anchored inside the text frame.
  • In the table designer, the value Start: top of the column (this pushes the table beginning in column 2).
  • Select the internal text block again.
    The value offset: left: negative column + a gutter (in-3,87 for this example).
  • Now, the table seems to start in the page one column and flows to the additional columns with the alignment of the position.
  • It worked perfectly for my recent requirement. In fact, I used a 3 columns (4 real) for the block of text inside the anchored frame. A bit of math is required, sorry .

    > ... a table and column that spans more than one column...

    > Not quite--I have a table of unique, equal or less than a wide column column,
    > flowing (continuous) in several columns.

    That's what I meant... but misspelled "covers" instead of "flow".  Oops... I just noticed a mistake. To the step #2, I said give a table a value space above 12.0 pt. There should be a negative space above (pt-12,00).

    Above is an example of a view of what I get.

  • Kerning in a left-aligned text column

    How do you get the text to go to the right-hand side of a text column when you have a left-aligned paragraph? When I adjust the tracking/kerning there seems to be a right auto dash that I can't work on the deletion of about 5mm.

    Image attached, shows what I mean... I want the first line to go further in all, but he's not going past the guide I put in place.

    Picture 1.png

    Two possibilities: either you have "Lines balancing ragged" enabled (which will try to make each line the same length), or it is caused by the paragraph composer (which attempts to balance the amount of white space at the end of each line).

    Solution # 1: clear the balance of the jagged lines.

    Solution # 2: use the single line composer - who will fill each row until the scope before continuing with the next and the right side will not be as well inconsistent as it is now.

  • What region in the report column HTML link?

    Dear gurus of the Apex,
    OK, I'll go straight to my question. I have a page to download file with region (conditional) report that comes after the file download process. According to the report that I have a column to remove the file downloaded (column has an image link, the target application, the name of the option: P2_DELETE_ID value: #DOC_ID #). Basically the report picks up just downloaded file ID and allows me to delete the file by having Hiden point Page (P2_DELETE_ID) and before the process of header:
    BEGIN
    REMOVE FROM EBA_ASSET_ORDER_TEMP_DOCS
    WHERE annual =: P2_DELETE_ID;
    END;
    condition: Expression 1 value is not Null, and the value of the Expression 1:
    P2_DELETE_ID
    I and another conditional region (which is HTML) he comes after the file download process as well. The Source region is:
    & lt; div id = "FinalMessage" > & lt; / div >
    & lt; br / >
    & lt; div > & lt; a href = "javascript:confirmFileDelete(htmldb_delete_message,'f?p=&APP_ID.:2:&SESSION.:REMOVE_ID:::P2_DELETE_ID:#DOC_ID#')"; > & lt; "img > src="/i/delete.gif "style =" position: relative; " Top: 1px; ' / > delete the downloaded file & lt; /a >
    & lt; / div >
    where id = "FinalMessage" - is the JS success/error message
    and... href = "javascript:confirmFileDelete--is my real question. So I try to hide my region to report and show only my region HTML where I will be able to this (... href...) link delete file from my table. I am able to dele file using report link colum but my... href... link dosnt want to delete my file, doen't even want to pick up the ID of file. Is there a way where I can link my... href... link to pull the report column?

  • Alignment of columns of a table using the control variable

    Hi I'm new to Javascript, using only Applescript before.

    I use Indesign 5.5 on Mac and I learn Javascript by adapting old Applescripts I have used for years.

    So, with an existing table, one of the things I want to do is to put alignments in the columns by using a variable. Here's what I've tried so far:

    function setColumnWidthsAndAlignments()
    {
        var myWidths=[29, 23, 13, 13, 13, 13];
        var myAlignments=["leftAlign","leftAlign","centerAlign","centerAlign","rightAlign","rightAlign"];
        var numberOfColumns=myTable.columns.count();
        for (c=0;c<numberOfColumns;c++)
        {
            myTable.columns[c].width=myWidths[c];
            myTable.columns[c].cells.everyItem().texts.everyItem().justification=Justification.myAlignments[c];
        }
    }

    but I get an error

    -Object does not support the property or method 'myAlignments '.

    If I throw the myAlignments variable and just put for example leftAlign, it works, then maybe I'm not declares the variable correctly?

    I know that I could add a few extra paragraph styles and cell styles and style of the table like that, but I it would be a good learning exercise (more of which I want to limit the number of paragraph in document styles - there enough already!)

    If anyone is really interested, I would like to place the script here and would like to really comment on how the structure could be improved or optimized or simply to tell me if I'm heading in the right direction.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Malcolm

  • APEX 5 interactive report data column alignment

    Hello

    I want to vertically align a column of APEX 5 interactive report data to the top of the cell (currently using the universal theme). By default, if a cell in the column in the file contains several lines (for example via the packaging), the other cells in the same row are centered compared to this in terms of vertical alignment multiline cell. I guess this can be managed with a set column expression shaped HTML, but I was not able to do so far.

    More generally how can it be implemented for all interactive reports / classics in a given application?

    I searched the forum etc. for similar positions, but not found a solution.

    See you soon,.

    It requires CSS rather than HTML, specifically the vertical-align property on the report table cells. For a single report, add a static region ID in the report area and include this style sheet in CSS Inline property page:

    #static-region-id .a-IRR-table td {
      vertical-align: top;
    }

    Leave aside the #static-region-id selector to apply the rule to each SORTING on a page.

    Creating Styles of theme using the theme roller is the privileged and supported way to customize the appearance of the applications that use the universal theme.

    • Go to a page of IR in your application.
    • Click the Thème Roller on the developer toolbar.
    • Expand the CSS custom section.
    • Add this style custom rule:
    /* Interactive report cells */
    .a-IRR-table td,
    /* Standard report template cells: add selectors as required for other report templates */
    .t-Report-report td.t-Report-cell {
      vertical-align: top;
    }

    • The page will automatically preview changes.
    • Click on record under and type a name for the style of custom theme.

    Hello

    BUG: Standard - alignment of the column header problem report

    I have a theme which I think was originally based on theme2, using Apex 4.1.1 improved over time to 3.x.

    I've created a classic report using the standard template, and I have found that the data remain aligned in Chrome, but centered in IE8.

    When I look at the HTML code generated, the align property is added only when the property of the alignment of the column is set to the Center or right.
    <td align="right" headers="COST" class="data">$118.00</td>
    The model column is
    <th#ALIGNMENT# id="#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#" class="header">#COLUMN_HEADER#</th>
    I would put this in the category "bug", but I understand that this seems to be a specific problem of the browser.

    All of the recommendations of the most elegant way fix this using CSS?

    I would put this in the category "bug", but I understand that this seems to be a specific problem of the browser.

    Personally, I'm not really bothered about #ALIGNMENT # and oddities/bugs it. I always use CSS to align the columns (and I use a lot of named column templates where #ALIGNMENT # does not work in all cases).

    The attribute align on all elements of array is now illegal and should not be used. (APEX will have to catch up, but given the lack of attention Oracle gave to the HTML standards in their products over the years, I'm not holding my breath...)

    All of the recommendations of the most elegant way fix this using CSS?

    The elegant CSS to do this is to use an attribute selector:

    /* ID selector for the column header */
    th#COST,
    /* Attribute selector for cells with the header attribute "COST" */
    td[headers="COST"]  {
      text-align: right;
    }

    If this does not work in IE8, then a compatibility mode is, or models in the legacy of 3.x theme pages do not contain the necessary rendering trigger Standards mode DOCTYPEs. IE does support attribute selectors in standards mode.
