All-in-One stutters, then sheet feeds halfway across then nothing

All-in-One office Jet 4500 G510m, restart after a power failure, hard nasal sound, nothing toothed belt slide, tried HP Print Scan & tools and procedures, paper flow to halfway through, then do not print.  PRINT Displays and press X & OK display say PRT CANCELLED, 1/2 sheet RSS display says busy.  It's my 3rd 4500 and not all have the same way.  Ordered the 4th unit of Amazon.  Tried to talk to powerless office and they seem not hooked on v warranty: no warranty.  I bought and paid for 4 of these all-in-One machines and have a stock of cartridges to exhaust.

I just sent you a private message. If you are unsure how to check your messages from the forum, this post has instructions.

  • Printer all-in-one HP 6700: connections to printers across firewalls and bank statements

I just installed the HP 6700 printer.  It is all set up and is connected to my wireless router and my computer.  However, when I tried to print my bank statements with the browser on my HP Pavillion laptop, it is not print them.  Y at - it someone who can solve this problem SPECIFIC to the 6700?  There are other positions to get through the firewall, but the directions seem not to apply to the 6700.

    Thank you.

    Hi Slyeyes,

You are very welcome, always happy to help!

The music is definitely one of my favorite things is for sure.

Back to your question, I find it very strange that you can print bank statements sometimes but not all the time. Also the fact that you can still print Microsoft Office documents intrigues me.

What type of program you are using to print these bank statements? A web browser, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.? Or Adobe Reader maybe?

It is possible that the problem could lie with the software you are using, especially since you can still print documents Microsoft Office as described previously.

I also recommend to try our HP print and Scan Doctor, program incase there is a conflict pilot as well and let me know what happens, if you don't mind.

Thank you for your answer and have a great day!

  • 5220 all-in-One printer: 5220 all-in-One printer prints blank pages, but test found nothing wrong with printer

I have a 5220 printer that I have not used for some time. I tried to print from it, and the page came out white. Stupidly, I went out and spent a ton on the new ink (color and black), but that was apparently not the problem. Print, copy, test pages, nothing works. But printing and scanning doctor says everything is fine. I tried twice run a clean print head. Who has not solved the problem.

Please check the printer model, I can't find any reference to a 5220.  What is a Photosmart 5520?  If so post here links to a troubleshooting document for the Photosmart 5520.  If steps it do not solve the problem, Please contact the HP Support, even if the printer is no longer under warranty.   If the above does not give satisfactory results, then please come back here after calling HP, assuming that it is the Photosmart 5520 after.

If you have a different model, please specify the model number.

I have a platform of linux opensuse 11.0 (printer was working fine before the update) and updated the linux kernel and lost the connection to a printer, is the hpj6480 all-in-one printer, then updated to hplip 3.9.2

using auto-install in the terminal, installed latest driver hplip 3.9.2, by checking installed software packages poster old version 2.8.4 printer hplip currently works as a USB direct connect but not wireless

other than the obvious question how do I solve this problem... What is the plan for the installation of the printer basic logic (IE... direct connect USB - wireless - cable) or install also completely wireless?  ... I should completely uninstall the printer and system drivers and re - install as a new system... And are there associated lib files that it removed the old driver of 2.8 and 2.10?

It turns out that the hplip should be reinstalled... but which has also compounded the problem was that the firewall should be removed to complete installation... Thank you for your help

  • Printer all-in-one screen display has changed from his usual display of a broader look "safe mode".

When I click on the all-in-one printer, it happens on my monitor screen different than what it allows.  Now, it seems that it is in "safe mode" and I'm not able to use its features as before.  Why is this happening and how can I get this back to its original state?

    Hi Doris Workman,.

    1. What is the brand and model of the printer?
    2. are you referring to the computer screen or the printer?
    3. what function you are trying to use?
    4. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

If you are referring to the screen on the All in one printer, then I suggest you to contact the manufacture of the printer.

Provide more information to help you best.

  • 5610 all-in-one - black thick top of line down on the pages scanned using the scan feeder tray ONLY

Using HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one I've had for years and maybe 6 months ago, I noticed that anything that is analyzed by the load plate (if you need to scan a bunch of pages without having to analyze each page individually between analyses what is tedious that need constant attention) has this thick black line goes up and down on the middle left of THE pages scanned. Honestly, it looks really bad like if there is something hidden in this terrible line through the process of moving the paper through the feeder, BUT the original is just fine without damage.

If I scan just a page by placing the document on the scanner glass, and then NO matter whatsoever.

    100% reproducible every time.

So I know that it has nothing to do with the glass (which is clean), but only when the scanned document must pass through.

Checked the forums for similar problem and found no exact match.

I imagine that an expert out there knows the answer to that high hand. IF you could speak up, I would appreciate it.

    I THOUGHT ABOUT IT!

    I read another post:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/scanning-faxing-and-copying/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8500A-plus-vertical-black-lines-only-when/m-p/1391261/highlight/true#M30268

who is mentioned on opening the ADF cover. Well I opened the whole Assembly, having absolutely NO idea how it all works, and I found a 1 "x 8.5" thick mirror (for lack of a better term) who had what looked like white paint on it to the place where the pages were probably getting the black line. I scratched, retested and the question was gonzo - that's all!

Then my wife just told me that she thinks that she knew what the problem was all along. She had put on a page and it had not dried, and she tried to put it in the charger to make a copy. She just thought that we were going to replace the printer even when and if ever, let me know. During this time it was me mad for months. What are you laughing at me? This all-in-one works very well for years - replace without good reason, must learn a new product, get new cartridges, out the same old, same old, NO way. If it is not broke, do not replace it!

  • HP Photosmart C309 - a printer feeds all in one ink

I had printers HP all-in-one for years and have been very happy with them so far. I don't do a lot of printing, and my last printer, the HP Deskjet 2510 would keep ink for 6 months. He was a shot-color cartridge and a black cartridge. My current printer, the C309-a, feeding ink. It has 4 individual color cartridges and a black photo cartridge. I haven't printed 50 sheets with black ink and the cartridge is almost empty. On 2 February, I changed all the cartridges and with the small amount of printing I did I think that all cartridges must be more than half full.

I read that this type printer goes through a process to prepare for printing using ink so I only turn the printer on when I need to print, rather than let on and he prepares to print every day when I turn on my laptop.

What can be done to save the ink, which is very expensive? If this issue cannot be solved, I'll have to look at printers other than HP, when I buy my next.

    Thank you for your help.

I suggest to leave the printer, it will enter a low power state automatically.  Make sure that you always have the printer plugged in to an outlet.  If you use an external switch (e.g. a Director or switch the power jack) out of ink will be used each time you start.

The printer will give an early warning that the ink becomes low, the cartridges do not need to be replaced until print quality begins to suffer.  Ink warning is intended to give notice if you have the time to have a replacement in hand.

    Some other suggestions:

    • Do not run unnecessary cleaning cycles.  Cleaning cycles are rarely necessary and use ink.
    • Use draft mode printing of common materials.  Draft mode uses about half Normal or best mode ink.
    • If printing on plain paper using "Plain paper" parameters in the selection of paper.
    • Not your case, but if you did a lot of printing XL cartridges have a better cost per page value.
  • 2050 all-in-one is blurred lines and feed new pages in the middle of print job

    Printer HP 2050 all-in-one

    Windows 7 Prof 64

No recent changes. Printer worked for about 1 year.

    Problem:

Some lines are unusually short and the letters are crumpled.  Printer is often a page feed for no apparent reason in the middle of a paragraph.  At first, I thought that the rollers of the printer have been problems grabbing the paper, but then I realized that it reproduces errors exactly in the same place for a given document.  Document one might offend lines 4 and 20 and line feed line 40 whenever I print that document B could online on line 4 and scunch line 35 every time I print it.

I look like a problem of software for sure.  I uninstall the software and reinstall with a new download.  Let me know what happens.

  • All-in-one OfficeJet J4550: only a fraction of the feed photo paper

I am trying to print photos of 4 * 6 using HP photo tip on an OfficeJet J4550 paper.  Sometimes it works but most of the time after the initial report pull in the paper and the printer starts to print, paper only continues to fuel in about half of the way through the printing process.  So I find myself with half right of the image about half left of the document.  Sometimes I get two-thirds of the image and sometimes only one third - it varies.  The part of the picture I get is really good!  Any ideas?  Thank you.

Hey @Steve2034, welcome to the Forums of HP! I'd love to help you to print photo 4 x 6 of your Officejet J4550. I understand that sometimes you can print a photo 4 x 6 full, but most of the time that the book fails to pass correctly so you end up with a partial impression. This happens when you print on 8 x 10 or any other photo paper? What happened when you print documents? Could you please try to make a copy of the photo of a photo 4 x 6 in order to test the equipment and eliminate the software/driver?

Although you may be able to print documents, and assuming that it's a hardware problem, please complete the solutions suggested, presented in the following document: HP Officejet J4500/J4600 all-in-One Printer Series - Error Message "on paper" and the printer is not Pick Up or paper feed.

I don't think you see an message to document your description, but the options presented in the document above could solve the problem you are experiencing.

If the question is indeed solved, please click Accept as Solution button below. If however, the problem persists, let me know and post back with the answers to the above questions.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing back on your part.

  • 3056 A what all-in One - fine work, then not?

I got the All in One printer it even not a month ago, and it worked very well for about a week. Now, all of a sudden, this isn't paper. It seems that the rubber rollers not grasp the paper and the bar to hold the rollers is very loose. On the rare occasions that the printer pulls a piece of paper through it tries to turn on your side and ends up increased inside the printer and do not get out of the other side. I tried all the troubleshooting and nothing works. I do not have the receipt (was a gift), and threw the box after I knew it did not work properly. Any suggestions?

I'd take a glance at this document.  If you have performed the steps in the document then I would contact Hp support for assistance. It is not necessary to have the front desk if you are still in warranty HP could replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

Let me know how it goes.
