Alpha levels adjustment

I have a rendered 3d that has some areas transparent semi (shadows on objects masts) I want to get rid. A single can adjust the alpha and all levels less than 25 years set to 0 for example in AE.

In PS, all of the alpha channel seems to be out of reach... It is not in the channels tab?  I can add one but PS filled it with a B & W to my RGB image version... This thing I am lack here?

I think it is because outside of the alpha PS is actually transparency.

Other software I'm working (AE, first, Nuke, 3dsMax etc) manage it differently. It the layer alpha, and there isn't one of these, is used to describe the transparency of a pixel, either direct or premultiplied.

When searching for the topic I find many discussions like this one where the terms alpha and transparency within the PS have a different meaning compared to how it used outside PS don't say not that one is better than the other but it is a great source of confusion.

See the chapter "alpha blending" here to see how it works on low level and compare this to the way that PS represent: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_compositing

  • Only the layer below levels adjustment layer?

  • Audio level adjustment

REALLY? ON THE FIRST GENERATION OF THE F5/55, GO TO THE MENU INSIDE TO ADJUST THE AUDIO LEVELS.

    COME ON SONY... DIFFICULTY THAT!

I got imagaine; Press the button to THE / TC, select channel 1 or 2, and then use the select button to adjust the levels. Please don't not black the viewfinder/HDMI, display sup - sdi with an overlay of menu based on what is happening if we can adjust levels while driving. Side panel only if entered with the button to THE / TC, overlay menu if entered in the menu. The two up-down assignable button is a good idea, make an option, not the only way to control.

  • When you use my microphone, the microphone level adjusts automatically.

In order to fix temporarily I have right click on the speaker icon in the status bar, go to the recording devices, double-click my microphone, go to the levels tab and readjust it. It becomes a huge problem, when speaking with the microphone and the level goes from 100 to 20 randomly and all of a sudden I can't be heard.

Sometimes she'll be right down, and I do not see a checkbox to disable automatic adjustment.

I unchecked allowing applications to take exclusive control, but I'm not sure this is related in fact.

    Hey gerri,

To clarify, you say that the volume slider in the properties of the microphone (pictured below) is self-adjustment:

If Yes, do you think the cursor moving it is on?

If so, this isn't a feature in Windows 7 that I know.

I suggest to uninstall Skype temporarily and restart the computer to see if the problem resolves.

  • levels adjustment layer.

    Hello.

Ive done this simple tutorial for an image I'm working on.

his creation of a starry sky, but when I get the desired effect in the adjustment layers in the habit of saving my effect.

white canvas - complete with black

filter - noise 100% with monochrome checked.

    0.3 Gaussian blur filter

levels of top layer black cursor 190. White cursor top of page 218. to create the stars.

    flatten the image.

for some reason my settings in the adjustment layer is not registered.

    Thank you

    Phil.

Agree. That's the whole point of flattening. If this isn't what you want, then save it as Native PSD with layers.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Volume level adjusts when Changing music titles?

    Hi all

This is my first post on this site, so I hope that I put my request in the right place.  My company gave me a Blackberry Bold 9000, and naturally I use it for many things not to work!

When you listen to music, I find that the volume increases every time that you go to the next track.  It is very annoying, I'm always for breath with noise and having to turn down the volume on the phone.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Brett

Had the phone replaced by Telstra (as I was under a business plan).  The new phone works very well.  Suggest the previous one was defective.  Thanks for the help everyone.

Elements does not manage the layers in 16-bit mode.

  • Convert multiple objects in grayscale in white with different alpha levels

So here's an interesting scenario: I have a few thousand tiny paths offer simple fillings CMYK. What I need, however, is to convert the CMYK value in white, but then hold the brightness by giving it transparency. I looked in all the menus and google all keyphrase I could think. Someone at - he never had to do something like that?

For me it looks like you use an opacity mask.

Select all the objects in grayscale and group them. Draw a white rectangle and put it behind the group. Select all, go in the transparency Palette and create an opacity mask. Invert the mask, if necessary.

  • Why my tile layer in Photoshop CC not updated to show an adjustment of levels I did?

I'm trying to clear up noise and a shot of the night sky long exposure. I'm v knowing PS Elements and have just this weekend upgrade LR & PS CC 2015 but a problem of workflow immediately. If I open an image in PS CC and then duplicate the layer, and then open a levels adjustment layer, everything looks fine at first. Drag a slider to levels I can make, for example, a big change to the exposure of the image, this is well reflected in the window of the main image (as expected) but I noticed that the thumbnail of the layer beneath the image copied above levels adjustment layer is not refreshed (cleared in this case) but has the same appearance as the original thumbnail of the base layer. It seems to have an undesirable ripple effect - if I click on the image layer to the top and do it (my last scheduled change) an action "filter-noise-noise", the preview window that opens shows (at 100%) not my preview of image thinning main desired but the original image lit (IE consistent with the thumbnail not up-to-date) layer of the image , making v difficult for me to assess the amount of the reduction of noise to make (and same thing happens if I did another initial setting as the conversion etc with any adjustment layer hue or b & w). This has not happened before in the elements (or PS CS5 a friend). I don't want to do a work around as first fusion of the levels adjustment layer with the layer of the image below I'll lose the opportunity to refine the levels settings later. I'm sure that the solution should be simple! Any ideas appreciated! Thank you!

PS use a PC with windows 7.

    Hello

This is the behavior of the thumbnail preview of the of the Photoshop.Layer shows us a glimpse of what is on this specific layer. He will not show us the changes that have been made by the levels adjustment layer or any other adjustment applied to it as a layer. To update the preview of the layer, merge the layer with the adjustment layer. If you want to update the duplicated layer, then apply levels by going to the image and choose setting > levels this will update the layer preview

    Thank you

  • Problem with the levels in PSE7 adjustment layer

    Hello

I have a problem with the levels adjustment layer in PSE 7.0. I made this photo that shows exactly as I want it in PSD format, but when I save it in JPG format all adjustment layers are lost. I tried to get the same result by using simple Enhance > > adjustments > > levels, but I cannot get the same result with the same settings as with the adjustment layer.

    How can I solve this?

I saw in a tutorial that might help add a new layer above the layer of setting and then merge visible layers, but it does not work either.

I hope someone can help me if I can complete the picture.

It seems that the problem is that your image size is big enough in comparison to the size of your available screen and you make your settings at roughly 18% view.

Photoshop elements uses interpolation to show the images on the screen, so you can't really see exactly the result unless you view an image at 100% display (actual pixels)

If you try to do the steps from the beginning with your image at 100% view, does make a difference?

(Double-click on the Zoom tool in the Toolbox for 100% view (actual pixels))

  • Photoshop CS3 is an alpha like Flash fade?

I am teaching Photoshop and I want to fade a background texture so that it is not so "BOLD".  In Flash, I could do this with the alpha controls, but I google for photoshop alpha and it wasn't what I was looking for.  I tried to play with the partially transparent gradient, using multiple layers, but I do not receive the results of desire.

    Any suggestions would be apreciated.

usually just, you reduce the opacity. If you're talking about erasing the background to white then do a levels adjustment layer and drag the black output slider (bottom, below the slope) to the right. You can do this by reducing the opacity, but it's a pain in the neck when you work with the background layer, because you have to open it by double-clicking it, and then add a layer filled with white and only then reduce the opacity
