Alphabetical sync in WMP 11

Is it possible to automatically synchronize the WMP Playlists alphabetically by the "rocket"? I have many lists of reading that I want in alphabetical order, but it still syncs in the order of default synchronization by putting them in the artist. Is there anyway to change this order of automatic synchronization? Or say the "rocket" in the alphabetical order by order?

Thank you!

Have you tried to rearrange the order of the tracks before you transfer the playlist to the player?

Or... Are the numbers of tracks at the beginning of the title track in the ID3 tag?

I can (and have always known) synchronize these selections to my Sansa Clip. However, I can't synchronize playlists IF MP3s have been moved on the external drive. I get an error (red x beside the MP3 files).

WMP don't like external drives. He thinks that you are trying to make copies and give them to friends.

You may need to synchronize the files in the Clip while they are on the computer and then moving to hard drive for storage.

WMP stores the selections as its own owners .wpl files. You can also save them as files with indications here .m3u (expand "to create a normal playlist")

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/create-change-Media-Player-regular-playlist#1TC=Windows-7

You can also try Winamp, www.winamp.com, who will also play for the Clip lists. Winamp's m3u playlists.

I use playlists, so I can't give you much help. Help WMP and Winamp should have more detailed instructions playlist.

  • Keyboard shortcut for audio + video sync in wmp (I thought it was the key to ctrl-plus)

When playing a video and the audio is slightly out of sync, I read there was a keyboard shortcut which allowed you to try and sync.

I thought it was the key to ctrl-plus/minus. But this does not seem to do anything.

    Hi martin,

There is no key shortcut as such on the audio and video sync in Windows Media Player.

  • How can I stop the songs of copy as well as on file when I sync in WMP 11 for my device

Whenever manually copy or move songs to synchronize songs copy on my mp3 player in separate folders. Which is fine, but the files contain only one song per folder. SO, I have to move the songs one by one in each folder where I want that they. Is anyway for me to get the songs to each synchronization in the folder that I want? Or synchronization in a single folder so I can move all the songs at the same time?

    Hi Flowilliams,

normally, which is caused by the way that your Media player is responsible for searching for songs. In other words it can break down the files by artist, album, year, genre, even. Less categories that you select, the folders under your songs will be broken down into. Also check out this link:

  • Computer recognizes the detonators but neither WMP, Winamp or Media Monkey Duke he or syncs

I am at a loss here. I recently reinstalled Windows XP Home and I had previously had no problem with the help of WMP or Winamp or Meida monkey with my rocket, but for some reason any any of my media programs will even recognize the "rocket" is connected, even if it shows as connected in Windows Explorer, and I can drag and drop files to and from it without problem. When I plug the "rocket", I wonder if I want to display files, sync with WMP, sync with Media Monkey, etc. Even if I chose one of the options to sync, I am told by programs that they cannot find a device.

I've updated the driver on the computer, update to the latest firmware on the "rocket", I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Other devices work on the same USB port?  A flash drive for example?

Uninstall the USB ports, restarted (they will reinstall) and try to connect the "rocket" - MSC mode, try first (for the hell of do it a reset on the "rocket" first if you wish).  Tell us what is happening.

Is it a 'normal' XP installs home or one that has been tinkered with? Sometimes, when they remove XP items it can affect something else.

try to sync iRiver, using the version of wmp 11 and no progress after 5%... impossible to remove version 11 to replace it with an older version... can you help me

    Hi florane

Have you been able to sync with WMP11 before? This problem only started recently?

    Try these steps and check:

1 check out the iRiver firmware updates site - they have made updates to H10 for example when WMP11 is out:

    http://www.iriver.com/HTML/support/download/sudw_list.asp?searchProductIdx=73

    2. also delete sync in WMP relationship - plug in the appliance, if it is set to auto-sync: plug it in, go to synchronize, click on the small arrow below, and then choose the iRiver and the 'end sync partnership.

    3. then go to the Control Panel, Device Manager, see if the camera is there, and then uninstall it. Disconnect and reconnect the iRiver, which should refresh the device and restart WMP to see if it works better.

4 also a device for synchronization in the Windows installation Media Player

  • WMP and the SD card

The Sansa Clip + is my first mp3 player and I have already used WMP, either. I had implemented auto-sync with WMP. I quickly filled the internal memory of 8 GB and got a 8 GB card, and then continued to add music to my library in WMP. When I loaded the map in the Clip + and then connected it so it would synchronize, none of my too full of the transferred music.

I'm confused about the best way to get music on the map, and then how to keep music organized. Should I forget about WMP and use slide / move? Do I have to turn off auto sync? If I use the manual synchronization, am I then going to try to keep trace myself of that music is in the internal memory and that is on the card? I love the Auto-Sync feature, and I would not if I don't have to turn it off.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

We have heard that a lot. I'm sorry.

    No, it won't.

I'm confused about the best way to get music on the map, and then how to keep music organized. Should I forget about WMP and use slide / move?

    Now you get the idea.

Do I have to turn off auto sync?

    Good plan.

If I use the manual synchronization, am I then going to try to keep trace myself of that music is in the internal memory and that is on the card?

Yes, is it so difficult? BTW, even with automatic synchronization, you would still have to do. WMP is not smart enough to know what you want to put in the internal memory and what you want on the card. You tell her. And no, it will not automatically (despite the name) fill one, then switch to the other.

I love the Auto-Sync feature, and I would not if I don't have to turn it off.

You are better off without her. It is nothing else than to headaches.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Forget about WMP. Forget the MTP mode. Forget the synchronization. Drag & drop the files you want where you want.

If no joy follow these steps:

You may need a powered hub. (all the USB ports on your computer are not powered, often
    only 2)

    Try these:

    Make a Restore Point

Control Panel - Device Manager - click in the empty area - VIEW - show hidden devices

Here, your devices are the MP3 player.

Now look everywhere EXCEPT the USB controllers for your devices (cannot be found) and if you find
It RIGHT CLICK and UNINSTALL all.

now go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers in the category, but the category itself.

  • WMP does not detect my device

My computer does detect my Smartphone, connected with cable USB, but WMP does not work.

When I connect with a cable USB, WMP says: "Connect a device", but it is already connected, because the computer has installed the necessary drivers and mounted 2 discs: F:\ and K:\.

Therefore, I can see these 2 discs and files inside and I can copy music, videos, etc... but I can not sync with WMP music.

I checked on other computers XP and W7 and it worked: my device has been detected and synchronization started. However, this does not happen in my W7 computer, where I have my library of music and Playlists.

I have to admit that synchronization has worked in my W7 computer up to aprox. 2 months ago. Since then, the changes are: Installation of the new version of Norton Internet Security and probably updates on W7 with update automatic Windows.

There has been a remarkable change on my phone: as I wanted to use an external SD card to increase MB used for music, I deleted all my music and playlists. Later, when you try to synchronize everything again once with my new SD card external WMP says: device is not connected :-(

Used WMP is version 12.0.7601.17514 on W7 Home Premium

    Your help will be welcome.

The solution was to remove login c:\User\"my ' \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player and let WMP to rebuild it again.»
