AMD Radeon 6600 M and 6700 M series on Windows 8

Hello

I just installed Windows 8 pro on my computer (1 year, sony VAIO, W7 Pro, installation: hold nothing) but some devices do not work:
AMD Radeon 6600 M and 6700 M series does not work
Device status:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation failed}
The requested operation failed.
I tried to update the driver but it says it's already updated.
I tried to download AMD driver autodetect, but is not able to install it (the grpahic card version is not supported...) (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx)
I used Windows Update to update everything.
I used http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx, the installation was successful, but I still have the same problem.
Also, I have an unknown device on the Device Manager list.
Any suggestions?

Actually I don't have the ability to change on my bios

Oops.  I don't forget that it is a Sony.   Possibly with an AGP card.   What specific model?

I installed the new beta version of CCC 12 and he has installed a new driver AMD Radeon 6600 M and 6700 M Series and the CCC works, but I can use him, my Catalyst Control Manager is empty, have no option it

Have you seen the AMD Release Notes?

http://support.AMD.com/us/KbArticles/pages/AMDCatalystSoftwareSuiteVersion1211BetaReleaseNotes.aspx

The verification of Installation software is aimed at preventing the driver download on some products for laptop. This is to help protect against the installation of drivers that can disable the features provided by the system manufacturer.

The following books are not compatible with this version:

Sony VAIO Laptops (please contact the laptop OEM for support of the drivers for these laptops)

I suspect that this means that you will have a harder time trying to find a workaround than people who have a BIOS that can disable switchable graphics functionality.

BTW, someone else showed me that the ATI\Support directory was empty, but I realized maybe this isn't significant because he could be called AMD now.   So, where is she?   If you can't find a journal about your installation, you can uninstall and reinstall when running ProcMon.   Who could show you where things went (or any what diagnosis being created if she wasn't going nowhere.)

HTH

In addition, no new driver seems to work. When I try to install again Center of AMD catalyst, he said simply that "installation failed." Suddenly, my laptop has onboard graphics. What's not here?

    Hei Anh Triet,

I found some drivers for your laptop on the site of Dell for Windows 8. I think you should install all to do computer work better with Windows 8 withour crashing. http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/laptop/w/laptop/4227.Inspiron-n4110-Windows-8-64-bit.aspx
  • AMD Radeon 6600 6700M series problem - Code 10 - Windows 8 M

I recently updated my Hp Pavilion DV6t 6077 - which windows 7 to windows 8 pro. Everything was fine, until I noticed that one of my grpahics card did not work. Now, only my ATI Radeon card works, but the AMD Radeon 6600 M 6700 M series no longer works since the upgrade. Help, please!

I am proud to say that I finally found the answer to this annoying problem. What you have to do, believe me, it worked for me, is that you must upgrade to Windows 8.1. After you are done, download the drivers for your model specific TO the COMPUTER, NOT from AMD WEB site. If it's for Windows 7, it does not matter. Download it. Once it is downloaded, run it in compatibility with Windows 7 and with administrator rights mode. Then, as usual, follow the steps and restart

    Hope this will help you.

  • Need help with the AMD Radeon HD M 8750 + HD 8000 Series Dual Graphics

I recently bought the 15z-j000 ENVY and updated with the AMD Radeon HD M 8750 + HD 8000 Series Dual Graphics. I wanted the dedicated HD 8750 M for games and whatnot. When I opened first to the top of my new laptop, I did a clean install of Windows 8 from a USB key. This completely erased all of the HP preinstalld drivers, software, etc.

I installed the beta drivers for my laptop from the site Web of AMD.  Here's my problem. How will I know that my dedicated video card working properly? I ran a few games and they seemed to do as well. But when I checked my system with CPUz and dxdialog it says that I was running the graphics card integrated. How does the dual graphics and how can I make sure I take advantage of my dedicated card. An explanation of the depth and how for the use of the AMD solution dual graphics card would be apprechiated.

I'm no expert on the switchable graphics, but you find the answers to your questions in the Overview of the switchable graphics or Dual GPU or switchable on portable graphics equipped with double GPUS and AMD.  Be forewarned however, documents were written for the HP PC using the appropriate HP, drivers if you use the Beta from AMD drivers, then documents may not match what you see on your system.

  • AMD Radeon HD 7670M and 8.1 Windows

I'll upgrade to 8.1 Windows when it will become available for end customers (18 October, if I'm not confused). As far as I KNOW, it comes with a new driver model for VGAs (WDDM 1.3 instead of WDDM 1.2 in Windows 8), so I decided to clarify some things before making decisions.

I have a computer Dell Inspiron 3521 with AMD Radeon HD 7670 M, and I wanted to know if Dell will provide an update of the video driver. I'm pretty sure that Windows Update invites you to a notification of the availability of a new graphics software, too. So, what should I do? Just wait for the Dell software package, install one of WU, manually download the new page AMD catalyst or do nothing at all?

    To: Alexandria veteran PC

Have you tried the new Intel and AMD packages for your office? Recently, I checked the downloads available for your XPS 8500 and found that there are all the required drivers for Windows 8.1! Just take the "integrated Intel GFX driver" and the "AREV AMD Driver for Windows 7, 8 & 8.1 64-bit operating systems"and then perform an installation in usual manner (Intel is first, then one an AMD). These are the packages that I'm talking about:

    http://www.

You can also enter your number of Dell's Service on the "Home support" page and choose "MS Windows 64 - bit 8.1" the ' operating system ' slide in the list - it will lower I hope that the number of packages contained so you will not be able to choose packages just for your model correct mistaken.

BTW, Dell has provided my laptop with all the necessary software, so I could make my laptop works with Windows 8.1 as important as with Windows 8. I hope that you will have the same experience.

  • HP dv6 6c98sa - switchable graphics - AMD Radeon 7470 m does not work after installing Windows 8

As per the title, I upgraded my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit of Windows 8 Pro 64 bit, of course according to a lot of discussions here (which I've read through) the AMD Radeon stops working.

I had it running using some Toshiba drivers which I can't make it work again since I did a new install of Windows 8 last night (I love not upgrades, the plan was to run the upgrade to make sure no problem then do a clean at a later installation) - FAIL!

With the standard driver for Windows 8 my machine has an AMD Radeon HD 7400 m (Microsoft Corporation WDDM v1.20), but it starts like, or should I say fails to start and display the following error message "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ».  If I turn off the device and restart, then it does not show an error and says it's working very well, I'm not sure it's good.

    AMD Radeon 7470 m (PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_6760 & SUBSYS_185D103C & REV_00)

    and Intel HD Graphics 3000 (PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_0116 & SUBSYS_185D103C & REV_09)

The Intel HD Graphics 3000 is running driver version 9.17.10.2875 (17/10/2012), which I have updated via the utility Intel drivers update last night.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I've used - ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55092.exe

    Works fine now :-)

  • AMD Radeon HD M 7400 Series drivers for DV7, Windows 8/8.1

    Hey,.

Wanted for a long time for support of the drivers for the AMD Radeon 7400 M since I upgraded my DV7 Windows 8, but it doesn't seem to be something compatible - have I missed something? Or y at - it a solution for this? As this secondary graphic card was much stronger than the native Intel one and if I can't get the drivers for it support so it may be a deal breaker for Windows 8. Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Hi, Dale:

This AMD/Intel switchable graphics driver should work with Windows 8.

I don't know if it will work with W8.1.

  • F004dx Pavilion 17: Pavilion 17 AMD Radeon HD graphics card Windows 7 drivers f004dx

I'm downgrading my Pavilion 17 f004dx to Windows 7 Pro.  I have the Pro Windows 7 64 bit responsible and all windows updates for it so far.  I'm having a problem with the installation of the video drivers.  For some reason any the AMD Catalyst video driver utility does not see the specific video hardware video card model AMD Radeon HD graphics on the display card.  Windows 7 Pro keeps defining it as the "Standard VGA graphics card".  Does anyone know what it should be showing under display adapters in Device Manager.

Is there anything I can do to get Windows 7 Pro 64 bit to recognize the graphics card AMD Radeon HD, so the AMD Catalyst software will be able to load the correct video drivers?

    Please advise...

    Thank you!

    Hello:

I think I finally found a driver that works.

None of the other drivers that we tried was the hardware ID for the GPU to your laptop, but this one doesn't.

This package provides the AMD graphics driver high definition (HD) and Catalyst Control Center for models of laptop computers that are running an operating system supported. For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package contains the drivers for the two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp69161.exe

You may need to install the driver manually if auto installation does not work.

  • AMD Radeon HD M 8670 install Prblem

I had a problem with my graphics card AMD Radeon HD 8670 M. as when I upgraded windows 8 windows 8.1 my laptop started to use its own graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4000) which decreased my framerate in games and how I found out about it. After resarching the web and trying most of the things that I Don t know what to do anymore. I tried several times to uninstall my driver, when I install back again and I right click on desktop-> AMD catalyst control center, he said: he can't start the program because there is no software driver AMD instaled or there is no AMD card it. I tried many drivers and nothing really worked. But when I check my device manager, there are 2 graphic cars listed, the Intel HD 4000 and the AMD 8670 M.

    Spoiler (Highlight to read)

Is there a solution for this problem?

    Thank you

    Speculums

    Thank you.

AMD download will not work because the switchable graphics function depends on your use of the software and custom HP updated the driver. Somewhere in the fine print in the AMD Download Center you'll see that in a disclaimer notice.

The following is the version most recent available softpaq, which is compatible with your laptop.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-105178-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4063&product=5185688&query=%20dv6-6B40EZ&sw_lang=&tool=

Do not install the driver separately softpaqs Intel and AMD. This will cause the switchable graphics feature will no longer function.

  • CS6 works with the AMD Radeon GPU 6970?

I am currently using CS5.5 on a MacPro 1.1 version and given the CS6 upgrade that requires a 64-bit on Mac OS.  So I would get an iMac 27 ", but the GPU only offered are AMD Radeon 6770 M and 6970M, did someone at CS6 on iMac and how does it work?

    Thank you

Well, it 'works' that she will support the fast previews and other features, it will not support just GPU raytracing. See the tech on the product page for AE.

  • Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: Code 43 with AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series

    Hello forum users HP

NOTE: SORRY I WRITE THIS IN THE BAD ADVICE. ALL "NOTEBOOK TIPS" WERE / IS 'READ ONLY' NOT ALLOWING ME TO POST IT. IT IS THE COUNCIL CLOSER TO YOU, I COULD FIND. AGAIN, I AM SORRY.

I had problems trying to play new games (Maplestory and Minecraft) on my laptop. After trying many problems on the forums of game specific, I came to the conclusion that my video card is what affect my ability to play these games.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running 64-bit Windows 10.

    • Processor Quad-Core AMD Phenom P960
    • 4.00 GB ram
    • AMD Radeon HD 6300 M series and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series 'graphics cards.

The problem that seems to hinder my ability to load these games is my AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series card. Looking in the Device Manager I see it's a Code 43 error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with windows update. I went on the site of AMD and installed the new beta drivers of Crimson 15.11.1.

    I found this post:

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/Forum/381108-33-solved-graphics-error-code

and follow up post mrgooyes (about 4-5 responses down) and again I have no luck.

I thought maybe since I opened my laptop some time ago and didn't eventually plug them into common sense could be considered, but my dad says they're integrated into the motherboard. I'm starting to believe, it is a problem with Windows 10 and alas, I have no possibility of return.

If anyone has any ideas what could be wrong or how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to know if there is more information that I would need to post and I will gladly try my best to keep guys updated day.

Thanks in advance for any answer!

    ReXound wrote:

I suppose that the link does not work as I thought.

If you go to the link and click on modify in the light blue box under the picture of my laptop, it will allow you to change the OS to windows 7, which is the factory installed OS for my laptop. You will find the driver I posted once you do this.

On another note, my Windows Update has installed some drivers for the cards and their revenue to the original state that they were (code 43). How can I stop windows update install this specific update?

Until you return to the supported o/s there is no real solution to your problem right now.
