AMD Radeon 6600 6700M series problem - Code 10 - Windows 8 M

I recently updated my Hp Pavilion DV6t 6077 - which windows 7 to windows 8 pro. Everything was fine, until I noticed that one of my grpahics card did not work. Now, only my ATI Radeon card works, but the AMD Radeon 6600 M 6700 M series no longer works since the upgrade. Help, please!

I am proud to say that I finally found the answer to this annoying problem. What you have to do, believe me, it worked for me, is that you must upgrade to Windows 8.1. After you are done, download the drivers for your model specific TO the COMPUTER, NOT from AMD WEB site. If it's for Windows 7, it does not matter. Download it. Once it is downloaded, run it in compatibility with Windows 7 and with administrator rights mode. Then, as usual, follow the steps and restart

Hope this will help you.

The verification of Installation software is aimed at preventing the driver download on some products for laptop. This is to help protect against the installation of drivers that can disable the features provided by the system manufacturer.

The following books are not compatible with this version:

Sony VAIO Laptops (please contact the laptop OEM for support of the drivers for these laptops)

I suspect that this means that you will have a harder time trying to find a workaround than people who have a BIOS that can disable switchable graphics functionality.

BTW, someone else showed me that the ATI\Support directory was empty, but I realized maybe this isn't significant because he could be called AMD now.   So, where is she?   If you can't find a journal about your installation, you can uninstall and reinstall when running ProcMon.   Who could show you where things went (or any what diagnosis being created if she wasn't going nowhere.)

    Just a troubled life

Running the laptop without the video HD 7400M will not harm it. Just use the Intel HD graphics card.

It seems that your laptop can have switchable graphics. If you are using Windows XP, it is unlikely that you will be able to take advantage of this feature.

Had considered running a dual-boot with Windows 7 64-bit setup a Windows XP 32-bit? It's doable, but it's a little difficult for novice PC users to set up.

  • Dell Inspiron 660 AMD Radeon HD 7800 series BSOD

Recently, I have put my Dell Inspiron 660 with a new graphics card, an AMD Radeon HD 7800. At the same time, I improved the power source to a Corsair Builder Series CXM modular 80 PLUS Bronze certified ATX/EPS power supply 500W.

I installed the card, update drivers and disabled the integrated graphics card. I tried to disable the onboard graphics via BIOS but there is no option to disable it in the BIOS, the AMD Radeon also is not running in the BIOS. If I uninstall the onboard graphics, the computer just re - installs on reboot.

The card works for everyday tasks, but whenever I try to launch a game, it works fine without any problems for a few minutes and then crash with a BSOD. Then, the computer restarts and is as usual.

The Inspiron 660 comes with the processor intel core i3-2130, 4 GB Ram and a 64-bit operating system.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Then, you need to get a more expensive food.

  • AMD Radeon 7570-devices is not compatible with Windows 10 - you're going to have problems with your screen

Microsoft will come out with Windows 10, as an upgrade of the free operating system next month, July 29, 2015. They came out with an app, 'Get Windows 10', which is intended to help the operating system upgrade process. In this app, it checks for compatibility issues that may exist between your computer and their new Windows 10.  I get results for two of compatibility issues when I run this app. The one that concerns me, it is with the video card that came with my computer, AMD Radeon HD 7570.

The app tells me: "these devices are not completely compatible with Windows 10" and he adds "you will encounter problems with your screen."

Is there any driver updates that resolve this problem?

The driver, I installed on my pc is Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. version 8.960.11.2000

Windows says that the driver is up-to-date.

If no driver is available to correct this problem will be I need to replace the video card in my computer and if so with what?

I currently use two screens, a LG 22EA53 (analog) and an Acer S230HL without any problems with Windows 7, Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

    Malygris1,

Well, son of a gun... looks that microsoft has made changes in their updates.

Now when you run the "'get 10 app Windows, check your PC ' it reads in devices..." "0 problems found."

Looks like Microsoft do with last-minute changes, as you indicated, and others have mentioned about being patient on this matter, that they may (?) have addressed this problem.  Probably won't suddenly course up until the update is done.

Guess for now, I have to score this as accept as a Solution.

When I go into Device Manager and check the driver it says it's all day, so I don't know what to do. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, but do what follows it is resolved for me.

    1. uninstall all ATI related discs.

    2. update the graphic driver HD 3000 (part of the optional update from Windows 8) at the latest.

    3. then go to hp.com, driver support & give laptops, product number and download the latest display driver for Windows 8 and install it.

After that, you should be able to see switchable graphics in the menu contextual office and it should work fine (it did for me at least)

  • Error 'Code 43' for AMD Radeon HD M 74000 after installing Windows 8

Original title: AMD Radeon HD M 74000

Error Code 43; After the installation of Windows 8

    Hi Erwin,

We are pleased to know that you have chosen Windows 8 and thanks for asking this question about Microsoft Community.

According to the description, it seems that you get an error 'Code 43' for AMD Radeon HD M 74000 after installation of Windows 8. I'll be happy to help you with this problem.

Step 1: I see that AMD Radeon HD M 74000 is not compatible with the Windows 8 operating system.

    Check out the link:

    http://www.AMD.com/us/products/notebook/graphics/7000M/7400M/pages/Radeon-7400m.aspx#2

Step 2: As the 74000 M AMD Radeon HD driver is not compatible with the operating system Windows 8, I suggest to install the drivers in Windows 7 compatibility mode and check if the problem persists.

Follow the steps to install in compatibility mode:
    a. right click the driver installation file and selectProperties and then tap or click on the compatibility tab.
    b. check in the run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
    c. tap or click the drop-down box and Select a previous operating system, and then press or clickOK.
    d. try to install the driver and verify.

  • Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: Code 43 with AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series

    Hello forum users HP

NOTE: SORRY I WRITE THIS IN THE BAD ADVICE. ALL "NOTEBOOK TIPS" WERE / IS 'READ ONLY' NOT ALLOWING ME TO POST IT. IT IS THE COUNCIL CLOSER TO YOU, I COULD FIND. AGAIN, I AM SORRY.

I had problems trying to play new games (Maplestory and Minecraft) on my laptop. After trying many problems on the forums of game specific, I came to the conclusion that my video card is what affect my ability to play these games.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running 64-bit Windows 10.

    • Processor Quad-Core AMD Phenom P960
    • 4.00 GB ram
    • AMD Radeon HD 6300 M series and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series 'graphics cards.

The problem that seems to hinder my ability to load these games is my AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series card. Looking in the Device Manager I see it's a Code 43 error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with windows update. I went on the site of AMD and installed the new beta drivers of Crimson 15.11.1.

    I found this post:

If you go to the link and click on modify in the light blue box under the picture of my laptop, it will allow you to change the OS to windows 7, which is the factory installed OS for my laptop. You will find the driver I posted once you do this.

On another note, my Windows Update has installed some drivers for the cards and their revenue to the original state that they were (code 43). How can I stop windows update install this specific update?
