  Ideas: I have an Acer monitor with my computer.  A gray box appears frequently in the middle of the display indicating "AutoConfig please wait."  This happens while I'm in the middle of a document or research online.  What could be the cause of this and how to fix this?  I am running Windows Vista.

  This problem occurs mainly due to the graphics card which is present on the system, in simple terms, the graphics card try to adjust the resolution of the screen on the computer for better display.

• Tecra A9 - Remove Volume on-screen display/indicator

  Hello

  I have a laptop series Tecra A9 running xp pro 32 bit and I am trying to remove the volume indicator on the screen. The laptop has a volume wheel on the edge closest to the user, and if it's on the knees, the volume knob gets hit all the time.

  Whenever it is typed, the volume on the indicator screen appears which becomes VERY annoying.

  I tried to find a way to change/edit that during a period of time and can't find anything conclusive. I was able to change some .dll and .exe files to change the picture a bit, but it has not completely solved my problem.

  I guess my questions are the following:
  1. is there a way to disable the screen display on only for the indication of volume?
  2. is there a a way to disable the wheel of scrolling shortcut to change the volume, keeping all other shortcut keys?
  3. is it possible to disable the wheel of scrolling shortcut and use a different way to change the volume. I found many other utilities to change the volume of the laptop that allow different variants of shortcut keys that I like to use instead of the scroll wheel.

  Let me know if any other information is needed.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated :)

  Maybe you could just cover the wheel with little electrical tape volume and use the command of Windows Volume to change the volume instead?

  Hi, helps make a battery charge and discharge lab on mydaq running labview under Windows XP/7 2012.  Have a vi

  read simultaneous voltage current and voltage from the ports of mydaq.  Currents are up to 0.7 A, so should use

  the ammeter instead of a0.

  The problem is, when I read with the ammeter, he agrees with multimeter fluke perfectly, but when I plug the voltmeter on the very ground I get different results on the ammeter (sometimes very different).  I searched a bit and found no other examples of people using the voltmeter and ammeter at the same time.

  From what I see, what you're trying to do can be done. You try to use the DMM one of the myDAQ for 2 different resources that is not allowed. To do this, I have reproduced the whole upward and tried to run the two resources at the same time and it is not allowed. The myDAQ is able to run one or the other, not both at the same time correctly. This is probably the reason that you could not find others with a similar question.

  I was wondering if there is a way to limit the amount of bytes per line in a string indicator which is in Hex display mode.  I can read 50 bytes using VISA and I would look at a series of 50 bytes each on a new line.  I tried just to resize the indicator, but I have found that if the 50 bytes have a lot of great characters such as C and D, then it will spill over to the next line and become a mess to look at.

  I suggest to use a fixed width, like Courier New font. Thus, for 50 characters, it will always be the same length on the indicator.

  You would have run on the start menu, but no problems, here are 2 ways to get there...

  • Press Windows key + R, it will launch the run window, enter "msconfig" and press enter

  or

  • Click Start, in the search box type 'msconfig', it will give you "msconfig.exe".

  I built recently new gaming platform of my son for his birthday, with a mobo Asus Maximus Gene V and a HD 7870XT, and everything seems to work properly. Installed Windows 7 Pro, drivers and Windows updates, restart periodically without any problem.

If I restart the PC several times I finally get a display indicating the Windows startup, but not the post screen and can connect to Windows normally.   In older versions on Windows, the internet/network icon showed a display indicating where there was traffic.  Is there a way to get that back?

• HP Compaq 8710p Display driver not work

  I have a HP Compaq 8710p laptop PC bought from the United States in 2008. Core 2 Duo Processor and @GB RAM installed. Suddenly the screen flicked and restarted machner. Windows logon screen, means 4 turning points and become four squares of the windows logo thing came nicely and the following login screen came in very low resolution. I connected and checked the resolution and it became 640 x 480.

  I thought it was a problem of display driver and tried to install display drivers, and then install windows XP and Windows 7 over and over again. But problem not solved and it seems that the graphics card does not have the drivers.

  In the next step, someone told to format the hard drive completely and re-install windows fresh. I did format and installed windows 8 preview and installed

  Now solved a little problem resolution is back to the initial state of 1440 x 900. but drivers still not apply. Still displays adapter it chip type: DAC , type: , chain of card: , BIOS information: , total available graphics memory: detected 256 MB video memory: 0 MB, video memory: 0 MB, shared system memory: 256 MB.

  Could you please help me and advice to fix me this and get my machine back to the normal state.

  This is a link to the latest driver for your NVIDIA integrated graphics card.

  This is a WHQL driver and should work.

  If it doesn't, that's the bad news.

  You remember of my mentioning the length of time that you have had the laptop?  The error message that you have received problems reported with the device, not the driver and that's probably mean that the video chip is a failure. Usually when a driver is the issue, the error message indicates that the pilot crashed and shortly after another message is displayed indicating that the operating system has recovered it. Laptop motherboard replacement may solve this problem if the pilot I linked to does not return your video output to normal operation.
