An application developed in 32 bit deployable XE XE 64bits and vice versa?

Hi members.

My question is if there may be problems with the application developed on 32-bit database XE and that deployed to the 64-bit XE database and vice versa?
Version of the apex is the same on both environments.

Thank you very much for your answers.

Oracle APEX application is deployed as a SQL script, so regardless of what OS/Architecture of the application is exported and where it is deployed.

The only thing is that you can not deploy an application from a newer version to a version lower than Oracle APEX.

For more details, see the Documentation Oracle APEX:

Deploying an Application

I hope this helps!

  • How to add data to the table changed in sql developer at Apex and vice versa

    Hello

I had tables of database with sql developer. But now, I have modified the database (new tables added + changed the data in the tables). However, in the Apex, I the old database. Is it possible to get the new Apex database with the data of the table changed so this database in both places (sql and apex developer) is exactly the same... Also the other way around.

    Thank you

The database schema that contains the tables, is it associated with the workspace even you are searching through the APEX product t development?  Why I'm asking is, if they are the same schema, the tables that you MODIFIED should be appear in the sql for APEX workshop part.  Now reports and forms will NOT see the changes (unless you have actually added or updated definitions for column).

Can you explain what exactly you were doing the SQL Developer to the tables in your schema?

    Thank you

  • 1.7.0_21 Java WebStart 64-bit does not take applications based on 32-bit Java 1.5.0_22.

We distribute a java application that has been developed based on Java 32 bit with Java WebStart technology 1.5.0_22.

In difference to this very old version of Java, our customers have installed a newer JRE as 32-bit 1.7.0_21. As long as everything is 32-bit, each application could be launched via WebStart. WebStart itself starts (32-bit) 1.7.0_21-based and does the jar with the server synchronization. After making sure that client honeypots are up-to-date, it starts a new process based on the JRE 1.5.0_22 desired and launches the application.

Unfortunately more and more of our customers receive their updates of Java for the 64-bit platform many customers switch to 64-bit operating systems.

If we install a 64-bit version of Java 1.7.0_21 we are not able to launch one of our applications 32-bit 1.5.0_22 more. It seems that WebStart 64-bit is not able to pass respectively to start a 32-bit application to Java 1.5.

In this case, none of our applications will start. Instead of the request, we receive the following StackTrace:

Resolution: We were still not able to solve this problem! The only way out of this is to install the JRE1.5 as the x 64 version. In this case, any passage of the 64 bit to 32 bit is necessary and everything is on the right track again.

But it's still strange and inexplicable :-(

  • Problem with running/debugging applications java jvm 64-bit ander with JDeveloper

I develop an application that works with very large volumes of data and I need to allocate more than 4 GB for heap space. I have windows XP x 64 and 64-bit, bat JDeveloper jvm does not work with the 64-bit jvm. How can I launch my java on 64-bit with JDeveloper jvm?

If you want to use a 64-bit jdk, it's simple

1 make sure you have a jdk installed 64-bit
    2. download installation generic jdev 11.1.1.4. 11.1.1.4 is the first version to support a 64-bit on windows jdk
    3. install jdev, ensuring that you are using the 64-bit jdk

  • Windows 10 compatibility with applications developed in LabView

Are there problems of known incompatibility with 10 Windows and applications created with "LV2012 SP1 that read data from cards NiDaq". We should warn our clients to not upgrade their operating system or should we ask them to install a specific version of the runtime OR or NiDaq libraries?

Well the development and EXE run the same runtime for code execution, and the same things like DAQmx drivers.  If you upgrade to Windows 10, and something goofy happens to the TCP stack, you call up NOR help, but they say the solution is to pass some version of LabVIEW is supported in Windows 10.  The probability of this happening is slim, but more strange things happened.

  • Resources on application development?

Hi, I'm a developer of new applications. I have been diving in the documentation for a couple of days now and be able to apply. However, it would have been nice if there would be more documentation on how to handle some of the things. I must say that I'm not too well C and I in particular, and faced with the creation of a GUI for my application, it says would be also nice to have documentation on some native support things like drag it in the menu dropdown. I'd love to implement a large number of this native stuff and I want to design the native application, but it seems quite difficult. Am I missing out on something and someone has some great examples/resources that I could shoot?

    Rob.

The problem with the user interface is that it is not native UI toolkit still available. The Native SDK 1.0 was designed primarily to allow porting OpenGL games, but it has certainly been used for other things. Native SDK 2.0 is supposed to be in beta by the end of October, and will include a good native UI toolkit (stunts). Until there non-OpenGL application development will be quite difficult in the native SDK, probably requiring you to use Qt.

Most of the applications you see with native user interfaces are using the AIR SDK currently.

  • BlackBerry application development

I was developing to BB for the past 2 years. But I see other platforms like android is more flexible and easier to build. I intend to switch to android slowly. So I want just your suggestion about the future of the BB app development. If there is a good future, and things will improve in the near future, because from now iOS and Android r early and seems lucrative

Really, it's time to wait and see because I think that RIM cannot delete JAVA BB quickly, as a large number of user base, at least for more than a year, that we can sell our applications on BBappWorld
RIM said also that BB10 will end around 3rd quarter of 2012, they will be based QNX, we will be able to develop applications in c ++.

    Just think positive

a year is sufficient time for we all developers.to java for QNX, C++.and transition move will be beneficial for us, we got a whole new market. the only threat is if BB10 supports android apps, that will be difficult for treaditional BB developer.

while I'm a game developer, I'm looking for new opportunities with the new operating system.

Can I develop an application of light weight with ADF web application?

Also, I want to use mysql as database.

    (1) you can use mySQL. I prefer Oracle XE, as it is better suited for the ADF.

    (2) application No. needs a weg server web. You can use weblogic or glassfish

    (3) just a browser

  • How to make a 16-bit application with a 64-bit version of windows 8?

I'm trying to learn the z80 assembler programming language and to set up a program, I use a program called devpac8x.  the guide had me create a file of commands of windows so that when the appropriate command is entered in the command prompt (asm Hello) then it runs the program through TASM and such devpac8x so that it assembles and converted from a .z80 file in a file of .8xp so it can be read by the ti-84 + calculator will be sent to.  I can't use devpac8x because it is a 16-bit application, while I have a 64 bit OS.  How can I get this program to run, or is there another program that works, and if so how would edit the batch file for this?

    Hi Tim,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help you.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the 16-bit program on 64-bit Windows operating system. In order to run a 16-bit program or a program 32-bit that uses 16-bit processes or 16-bit components, you must install the program on a 32-bit version of Windows.

You can install the 16-bit programs only under 32-bit Windows 8.

8 32-bit Windows comes with a built-in option to enable or disable 16-bit application support. This new applet allows you to enable or disable support for 16-bit applications in Windows 8.

When you open the applet in the Control Panel, Windows displays a dialog box to enable or disable 16-bit application support. Just click on the Activate button and you will be able to take advantage of 16-bit applications in Windows 8.

If you do not enable the option using the Control Panel, Windows 8 automatically ask you to activate the option, whenever you try to run a 16-bit application.

If you have questions/suggestions more associated with Windows, feel free to post.

    Thank you.
