an av playing on a windows pc

HI - can someone tell me if this is possible.  I created an Audio/visual presentation to our camera Club, but they have to play on a windows pc.  I tried, but it will not work, is it possible to do this please?  The file has been created using opening.

Thank you very much

Sandra

Most computers have Quicktime compatibility.  If you can export the file to the Quicktime format that works.

You'll want to ask the club to the camera so they Quicktime Player on their PC.  They can download it from Apple if they don't have it.

http://www.Flip4Mac.com/ offers Windows Media compatibility as well.   I don't know if it will export from Aperture functions add Windows Media or not.

Since you created it in Aperture, I'd say to post the question to the

Opening Forum.

Alternatively, you can carefully Pack your iMac and present live video of your iMac.    You will need to know if the projector supports HDMI or DVI or S-Video.  Apple offers connectors to each of your iMac. EveryMac contains links to each of your spec iMac then you can know what are the ports you have:

iMac "Core i5" 3.4 27 inches (end 2013)3.4 GHz Core i5 (I5-4670)

  • Windows Media Center won't play video, but Windows Media Player will be?

I'm reading a video .avi with the xvid codec. I installed the codec earlier and it plays fine in Windows Media Player, but when I try to play in Windows Media Center, it indicates that one or more codecs are required to play this file, but they cannot be found. I know I would just watch with Windows Media Player instead of Media Center, but I want to watch it on my Media Center extension (my Xbox). I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit. Why does Windows Media Player with this codec and Windows Media Center not work? How can I solve this problem?

    -Slick05_1

    Hi Slick05_1,

Thanks for the replies on the forum.

Given that the Microsoft Vista Media Center and XBOX do not play the files suggest it would need to be a codec which solves the problem or maybe file conversion which would solve the problems you are experiencing.  Since the codecs for files is not something written by Microsoft, we do not have the information for that in our system.

What I suggest is to go to your search engine preferred and in the search line and typing "is possible to play VLC on XBOX.

    WARNING:

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

What I suggest also done an online search using your favorite search engine for "play MKV files in Vista x 64 Media Center" to find whether there may be suggestions about codecs or these codecs created by other organizations then Microsoft.

Please let us know if you are able to get this to work for you.

Please relay the e-mail program you use.  You can also try to save the file directly on your local computer, and then check if the file is being read correctly. If there has been any recent codec package installation, you can also try to temporarily uninstall the codec package and then check out the question.

  • Torrent video plays fine in Windows Media Player, but only audio in Windows Movie Maker?

I downloaded a video torrent on my Windows Vista laptop. When I went to play in Windows Media Player, it works fine. However, when I try to play it on Windows Movie Maker, I can place only the file in the audio section / music, even if it is listed as a .avi file, when I import the file and drag it on the timeline. There is no red X or any sign of a problem with the actual file. When I go to preview, I get only a black screen, as expected when playing audio files. I checked super files supported for Windows Movie Maker, and .avi is supposed to be a supported video format.

I've downloaded xvid on my computer and it is before I even started with torrents. I know that this translates to the game in Windows Media Player.

I tried to download the same different torrents and I get the same problem each time a different torrent site, so I know that's not the real torrent.

I went to tools > Options and unchecked the box I had, which was the AVI decompressor, and the problem persists.

I don't want to convert the video file, unless it is absolutely necessary. If I need to download something, I will do, as long as you point me in the right direction.

I ask this question because I see only problems with the .avi Windows Media Player files, and I want to edit the file to make a music video.

    Any help is appreciated!

It turns out that the only way to solve my problem was to download Windows Movie Maker 2.6. Now, I can actually edit with ease and use the original .avi file without problem. I still don't know why I had so much trouble with the version that came with my laptop, but now it's the only solution that has actually produced results.

Yes, you can play games on Windows 7 XP, but only if they are supported. It doesn't seem to be a developer or Publisher website, offering support for the game.

So, if she does not run in compatibility mode, it's game over for the medieval Lords...

Will this be the problem of my audio driver or hardware problems. Please suggest something that I can fix this...

    Hello, Annick,.

Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You did the hardware changes to your computer recently?

Make sure that your speakers are properly connected to your computer.

Many computers have taken three or more who connect to a sound card or sound processor, including a jack for microphone, line-in jack and line-out. Your speakers should be plugged into the line-out socket. If you don't know what it is, try plugging your speakers to each of the jacks to see if any of them produce the sound.

In some cases, you can work around the problem by disabling optional speaker effects that are known as improvements. If the disabling effects speaker resolves the problem, you may need to update your audio driver.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Run the troubleshooting of Audio playback
    Reference:
Open the troubleshooting of Audio playback

  • The music will not play on my Windows Movie Maker 2.6 video?

I've converted .mp3 to .wav files so that they are compatible with Movie Maker 2.6, but they don't always work. I even tried to convert .wma but still nothing. Work files, they play fine on Windows Media Player but when I add them to the video there is no sound. Help, please!

The video is a video, hypercam if that helps. Which is a .avi format. Does it matter?

    Hello JackySC,

    1. What is the operating system installed on your computer?

MP3 and Avi files are compatible with Movie Maker 2.6 and should work. However, if you are not able to read files with this, I suggest you install Windows Live Movie Maker and check if you have the same problem.

    Hey nongeekbetty,

The DVD is encoded for a different region. Most DVD readers only works with DVDs that are coded for the computer was purchased in the same region. So if you buy a DVD in one country and then try to play on one computer from another country this DVD could not play.

    Step 1:

Make sure that the DVD region is set to the appropriate region:

    a. Click Start.

    (b) in the search box, type Device Manager.

    c. right-click on the DVD drive.

    d. right-click on it and select Properties.

    e. make sure that the region will be resolved.

    Step 2:

Also temporarily disable User Account Control (UAC) and check it out.
