• If I try and follow a link from another Web site to open the other I get awclick.php pixels (GIF Image 1 x 1) in a new tab instead of the web page I want.

  I tried to open a Web site as a link from another site and I get a new tab that says:

  awclick.php (the Image GIF 1 x 1 pixels)

  I can open the Web site without clicking on a link to it simply by typing the address, but as this is a cashback site that I'm the link it does not help!

  I use Windows XP and Avast firewall as an anti-virus.

  I tested it on Chrome, it took me to the page immediately without any problem.

  No idea why and how to get rid of this problem? I'm not keen on the use of Chrome and prefer Firefox.

• anchor named links do not work in iframes

  In developing my site web I came across the problem that Firefox does not scroll to the targets of links of anchor named in a page, when the page is in an iframe.

  In seeking solutions, I read a lot of dated 2010-2011, it is one thing to security... and many supposed solutions, which only work for certain situations, not mine. There was also a lot of people who cry 'FAULT!' because of this, as there is no risk that not involved so that never, and I agree very strongly.

  It is now 2014 and it still does not work, I still see nothing wrong with the practice of link in a document, not mater how or where they are displayed. It's actually a procedure standard and highly recommended for proper navigation and W3.

  I love the Community open source and I thank all participants for their contribution to Firefox, but your developers need to find a way to fight against the attempt to exploit the vulnerability, rather than destroy the vulnerable code itself, at the expense of the savvy folks less code like me who want just to get simple web content. When I read the answers to your developers, I've seen many not humble cop out answers I expect only from the likes of Microsoft, which I hope you do not try to imitate. That is to say, is not the problem.

• Anchor named links

  I'm trying to create named anchors and link to them from the navigation. The instructions say create an anchor named by placing the insertion point to the place where I want to create the anchor and then select Insert > anchor named or in the common category of the Insert panel, click the named anchor. Named anchor is not in the Menu insert or Panel common category. How can I proceed?

• TOC copied from another document, can not update

  Hello

  I copied a table of contents of another document and when I try to update the new book, the table of contents do not appear as an option to update. I am using Framemaker 8 and I named the file the same name as the book (MASWTOC.fm and MASW.book) file.

  I tried to create a new table of contents and then import another table of Contents formatting, but it did not work. I only got a list of titles and numbers page directly behind them. So, I hope that there is an easy way to update the table of contents of another book.

  You can not just copy in a table of contents because it is a system generated unique to the book - if you copy, the system may not have generated it.

  What you need to do is to complete the first method you have started. Delete the copy in the file, if it is still in the book.

  Add > TOC and choose the paragraph tags that you want to include. Generate the table of contents. As you have noted, it will not be formatted, but it must contain the correct tags and page numbers.

  Then, open the table of contents in the format already in the other book. In your table of contents new, file > import Formats and bring everything except the Document properties to.

  Save the file. The book was updated. The table of contents should now contain the correct information so the correct formats.  If the subjects and page numbers are always grouped together, 1.) Check the reference page for the TOC file to make sure that there is a tab stop between the variables that control the info. (and 2.) check the paragraph tag (for example, Heading1TOC) in the Designer section to make sure that there is a tab stop. This is where you place the page number, leadering and so on.

  If you need to make changes, SAVE THE FILE, and then update the book again once.

  Another method that may work for you, but is not as reliable as the one above:

  Close the FM.

  In Windows, delete the TOC file generated in your new book dirctory. (You must already have a TOC that is generated it for this work.)

  Then copy to your table of old contents to exactly the same name as the generated file, you just deleted. It must be exactly the same name.

  Start FM, open the book and update.

  Hello, CHIANGRAI, apparently your firefox is set to warn you when the websites is you redirecting - so disable, please go to firefox > options > advanced > general and uncheck the box "warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page.

• Transform a small peak in a link from another Web site

  All I want to do is transform a small photo on a page a button that opens another window and opens another site, but the "hyperlink" in the upper part is not to give me this option.

  Here's what I did:

  1. double click on the page in question, put me in mode 'design' of the page.

  2 pick the picture I want to turn it into a link button.

  3 click on the "Add or filter the links ' option at the top of the page.

  4. the only options I gave are 'Desktop', 'Files', and 'Link To File'. There is no option for a link to another site...

• Copy and paste the links from one document to another is no longer maintains the actions

  For a few years I created a 'dynamic' table of contents in a MS-Word document.  The Word document is a skeleton of a PDF document that will be published with the text of the sections on the relevant pages.  I then save it in the format PDF. The links in the generated PDF file precisely go to pages in the document. I then copy the table of content pages in my PDF file that contains the actual content.  I remove links old and copy and paste links to the newly created table of content in the 'real' PDF pages  Recently, when I stick the links, they seem to stick properly but the actions on the links are not included.  I can look at the new PDF and see the link for "go to a page in the document" action, but they are not present on the pasted version.  Is this a bug?  Everyone knows this situation?   Thanks in advance!

  As usual with similar issues, need the process to explain to discover possible solutions towards.  I don't know why this solved the problem, but I had saved the Word document by using the file/save as / name. File/save as Adobe PDF... pretty good PDF option option.  The results appear the same, but when I copied the links after registration by using this option, it worked as it should.   Maybe this will help someone else...

• Document text now linked to another document - how to remove?

  I admit that I am new to InDesign and learning by the proverbial firehose. I was select, copy and paste content from an InDesign document into my current draft. As the new document uses different characters and Styles of paragraphs of the former, I remove the ones that copied during the previous document and reallocate all text copied with the present criteria. So far, it has worked without problem. The last time that I did, somehow my current to the old document document linked any content that I copied it from. So whenever I try to change it in the new document, even the smallest thing such as the removal of the text, he must go back and open the former document before he can make the change in the new. It really slows things down to be virtually unusable. How can I break this link for the old document? Thank you! Phil

  The best way I can think to move a book and get reworked links is probably the 'package book for printing." Who must make copies of everything in a single file that can be moved (NOT copied) to a new location and ID should find the right files in the same folder. Copy to a new location where you can always access the copied files repeat just the problem you have now.

• I can create a document that uses cells from another document

  I want to have a single numbers document that pulls the numbers by a lot of other documents.

  Each pay period, I have a different document with hours of work on the different "stuff".  This document has formulas in the cells that add columns, create totals, show the amounts of money, etc...  Now, I want 1 document where I can create a cell with a formula (?) that allows you to view the totals for all other documents.  Is this possible?

  You can pull numbers from other tables, even tables that are not in the same spreadsheet (tab).  But without a script a bit bulky will not pump you the values of a separate document numbers.

  In number because it is easy to have multiple tables on a single sheet, and there may be multiple sheets in a document, I recommend you organize your time-past data is self-contained in a single document.

  In addition, it is much easier to build a summary information in a table, it is to consolidate data from different tables. Then you might consider making your time spent in a table entries.  Then you can extract summaries of project, etc. a table.

  Recommend to have a look at the model of "Personal Budget" file > new to see how it would work. You would add "hours" instead of "dollars", but the principle would be the same.

  I used to copy pages of a document of identity to another very easily before. I don't know why I can't do it now.

  I have two InDesign CS 6 files. I opened both in two separate windows, but when I select copy of page 3 (6 short pages News Section) to the end in the great Document number two (the whole magazine) there is a mixture of white pages, bizarre styles and two new sections that were never before.

  You have the open Pages panel, so you can either click the icon in the upper right of the Panel to open the menu, or you can click right into the area where the page icons are displayed.

• Duplication of Pages from another Document

  Work in CS3, VBA, PC.

  I need to merge several documents into one InDesign goes on project and have a script written works by duplicating each page of one document to another. My code to reproduce each page looks like this.

  Call the FromDoc.Pages(pgs%). Duplicate (idLocationOptions.idAfter, ToDoc.Pages (-1))

  I thought the following would work one to duplicate all at the same time as you can with the Pages panel, but I get an error that the object does not support this method.

  Call FromDoc.Pages.ItemByRange (FromDoc.Pages (1), FromDoc.Pages (-1)). Duplicate (idLocationOptions.idAfter, ToDoc.Pages (-1))
  Call the FromDoc.Pages.ItemByRange (1, -1). Duplicate (idLocationOptions.idAfter, ToDoc.Pages (-1))

  If this all simply not possible or am I missing something.

• How to stop incorporation of art linked from another file .ai Illustrator?

  I create a file for updating the images to print multiple files (e.g. changing a logo in the main file will update on several print templates when they are open), I did this by recording the main file with one .eps with individual work plans. Then, I'm going to the print template and place the art where it is needed and save. When I update the logo in the main file, it will change and be placed where I need already to save time. EPS files are slower and more files have when they are used as links, but when I try the same thing with an instead of an eps links .ai file automatically integrate into the fence. Is there a way to prevent embedding links when I close the file if the hand is an AI instead of an eps?

  Uncheck the box in the second (second image) dialog box that says include linked files. This is what causes the embedded files.
