Android - delay long chassis causing weird screen refresh

I'm building a game for android using Air 3.5 and Flash Builder 4.6 devices

Some of my game sections a little loading to do, so broke their place on a time to load a little at a time, allowing enter frames and timers to fire between each piece... and I put a glass of spinning on the screen as a wait flag.

However, some of the pieces to still take a little time to run (usually when dealing with large images and such) and may take several hundred milliseconds to execute.

Now, this isn't the problem.

The problem is that these images, which take longer to 33 milliseconds (fps is set at 30) the spinner on screen seems to 'jump' to the rear for a partial picture.

It's almost as the when the current enterframe executes, there are 2 Updates screen... occurring the first update shows the content of the screen as they were before the screen started to redraw and the second updates the screen as it should be now... the result is that, for this partial update of frame , the spinner seems to 'go back' a couple of images.

This does not work on iOS devices or the pc, only android.

Anyone know what could be the cause and how can I stop to happen?

Found out what the problem was.

When I was drawing text as an image, I would convert the stage for better quality, the drawing and convert it back down.

Being old code just now. I have changed since this code to use drawWithQuality instead and pulled the stage.quality changes and the problem disappeared.

On firefox memory leaks cause blue screens?

If you encounter blue screen crashes, this majority refers often to an incompatibility with a device driver, especially the graphics drivers. Go to Firefox Safe Mode and disable the use of Firefox hardware acceleration of graphics.

    Assuming that Firefox is closed:

Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox. You should get a small dialog box. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

(If Firefox is running, use Help > restart with disabled modules to call the dialog box.)

In Firefox, open the Options of the Advanced tab dialog box:

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

This will take effect after you exit Firefox and start it up again (in normal mode).

    Hello

I noticed that on some computers laptops Toshiba, the screen refresh rate is fixed on 60 Hz.
The screen refresh rate is not important on laptop screens.
Matrix TFT is not such a thing as the refresh rate. It is not blinking.
TFT as all other LCD screens do not refresh rate setting, only the reaction time.
    Your eyes are sure ;)

PS: as much as I know AGP port is not available.

    Hello

    > I am disappointed to see the SHIFT key (left) and the CTRL pressed, causing the screen to go black intermittently when you type my blog...

What does this mean exactly? Press SHIFT and CTRL button turn off the display, and you are not able to see anything on the monitor?
    Is this good?

Have you checked if this happens with the help of an external USB keyboard too?
If this isn't the case, I guess that your keyboard is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.

One of my friends had a problem with my keyboard. The cursor jumped around and some characters are displayed two times this could be resolved by the BIOS update I m do not know if your laptop uses the latest version of the BIOS, but you can check this too.

  • Satellite Pro U400-11V: possible to increase the 60 Hz screen refresh rate

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-11v.
I just realized that my screen refresh rate is 60 Hz (resolution 1280 x 800).
Even I decrease the resolution. It won t be another option 60 Hertz.
Is it possible to increase it?
My monitor is indicated under the generic name of the PnP in the system.

You cannot increase the internal laptop display refresh rate and it of not necessary to go higher, because all the internal laptop screens are running at 60 Hz.
If you would like to connect an external monitor, you will probably see higher available for the external monitor refresh rates.

  • Bad screen refresh rate shown under Vista - Satellite P100-429

    Hello

I have a Satellite P100-429. There are three weak, I install Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, but now the highest of screen refresh rate is 60 Hz. I tried to download the latest drivers for the graphics card, but this will not work and the computer also says that the monitor is called generic PNP.

Before Vista has a 100 Hz screen refresh rate and monitor had his screen Toshiba TruBrite WXGA + TFT of own name I tried looking for drivers for the monitor but without success, someone can help me pretty please, I get headaches for the low screen refresh rate.

    Hello

Have you installed the right graphics card driver?
Immediately after installation of Vista, the operating system uses Microsoft's own common graphics driver.
If you want to use additional graphics options, you need to install the compatible graphics card driver.

But I want to clarify something. The LCD or TFT screens give excellent quality and resolution at 60 Hz.
the Refresh on TFT rate simply won't say the same thing about monitors CRT.
Response time, brightness of the Image and the contrast of the Image are more important for a TFT or LCD monitor like the refresh rate.

Performance display and the quality isn't worst if it run on 60 Hz
Therefore, I see no reason to change the refresh rate of 100 Hz

  • Satellite M55-s3315: screen refresh rate is 60 Hz?

I bought Toshiba m55-s3315 analog sagbo m50 with intel integrated, 910 shared dynamic 128 MB of memory; screen - 14.0 "large display with Toshiba TruBrite WXGA. The only refresh rate, I get is 60 Hertz. I've updated the software chip intel and toshiba also... I would like to know - is it possible to get more than 60 Hertz. The only way is to get 85 Hertz is adding external monitor. I have now oportinity to get at least 75 Hertz, screen refresh rate? It has been possible with my old HP Pavilion ze 5000.
Maybe someone could explain to me?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

As far as I know, this value is fixed and you cannot change it.
Even if you update the driver, it is not possible to increase this setting on an internal display.

  • Screen refreshes every few seconds

Computer model: HP Pavilion e040us 17

    Product: EOJ89UA #ABA

    Windows 8 (not 8.1)

My wife left her cell open and when she came back, she was asleep.  She tried it to wake up (hit the wrong key), got frustrated and held down the power button to turn off.  She doesn't think that updates have been applied since the screen was black

Now, once it is started, it can use one of the applications 'tiled' who do not use the desktop computer.  Once the office is open, the screen refreshes every few seconds.  The entire desktop goes blue, the desktop icons and background image disappear, and everything disappears from the system tray.  The system tray starts to rebuilds with the battery indicator, indicator of network, "speaker" icon, date & time, then all the rest of the system tray is back with the office (background image and all the icons).  In about 1 or 2 seconds, the cycle starts all over again.  I left the laptop that works thinking that something just needs to work to stand, but two hours later, it was still there.

If I press the windows key enough times, he swaps ends up back in the tile view, and then he begins to paint it too.  The screen goes blue and then everything comes back.

While this is the case, the only way to get the stop menu is ctrl + alt + delete.  Moving the mouse to the bottom right of the screen to bring up the menu of the settings does not work because the screen refreshes faster that you can click on the settings button.

I restart the computer in safe mode and it didn't happen.

I'm stumpped and really need help!

    Mark

    Hi, Mark.
I don't know if this will help, but for me, I used system refresh to restore my laptop to factory settings (but keep my documents) and the problem seemed to go away. Partially, I think it was because I was running Classic Shell for Windows 8.0 rather my 8.1 - Although may not be the problem, refresh the laptop seemed to work!

  • Screen refresh rate

Just so a while ago I tried to change my screen refresh rate so that a program can open properly because it seems always just for a fraction of a second, then stop again without any error message or anything like that. Then I did the standard thing we do when refresh rate of the screen: the screen resolution-> advanced settings-> monitor-> screen refresh rate. But there was a problem: the only option available is "default material use. Is there a way to get around this? I reinstalled Windows there are hoping to fix freezes - that worked 2 days only, and I'm not quite up-to-date with all the updates/drivers. Maybe that's a problem?

    Thank you

    S. Luca

The driver for your graphics card must contain a 'Custom' option were you can set and test the different resolutions and refresh rates.

    Graphics/video drivers:
Check the download site of the manufacture of the graphics card for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card.

  • Delay on the 'Starting Windows' screen

The problem I have is this, whenever I start my PC there is a delay on the 'Starting Windows' screen. The screen does not freeze or anything just ten minutes to bring up the Log In screen. It's the only time where that the PC is delayed, it has no effect on the operation of the PC. I uninstalled my anti virus and that does make a difference and I have made sure all drivers are up to date. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Timer.Schedule (task TimerTask, delay, long) vs timer.scheduleAtFixedRate (...)

What is the difference between them?

Timer.Schedule (task TimerTask, delay, long) vs timer.scheduleAtFixedRate (...)

The difference is the way it handles trolling and catching up.

If schedule() is used and a performance falls behind his scheduled execution date, consecutive executions are also delayed.

With scheduleAtFixedRate() If execution falls behind, he'll try to 'catch up' and do a run right after the other.
