'Angle of the camera' and 'Camera Label' missing fields in the metadata Panel

So very glad to see that first Pro CC 2015 supports the transfer of the track when creating source multi-camera sequences. It can use either label camera or the metadata camera Angle.

Unfortunately, the metadata Panel does not offer these specific fields, making it impossible for the allocation of lots given to these fields. Am I missing something? No solution possible workaround for this? ExtendScript maybe?

Best,

Jerome

After the upgrade to the last bridge, the metadata panel displays is no longer the width and height of a PNG image. It still works for other types of files, such as jpg.

I have to use Explorer to get the dimensions for a bunch of PNG. Very inconvenient. I wanted to downgrade the last bridge, but it seems that it is no longer available.

I tried to completely uninstall the CC (and pref.) and reinstall. No joy.

  • Live webcam Logger xmp may not have added to the metadata Panel

First shoot using Live Logger - everything works until I need to put the data in prelude.  I connect to my CC account, see the files that I downloaded from the iPad and click Download.  Then... nothing appears in the metadata Panel not associated.  I'm under v 2.2.0 on OSX 10.9.  I'm with the video tutorial on the Adobe site, and I don't think I'm doing something wrong.

    Someone has an idea?

I think I really like this workflow with recorder Live (I have a lot of suggestions for this app, but I know it's early), but I'm stuck on my first try to make it work as a prelude.

Jenny helped me to find the solution.  In Preferences > creative cloud, my cache was set to a volume that has not been mounted or available.  Once I have reset the cache to a volume available and restarted prelude, it works as expected.  Thank you Jenny!

  • Display the metadata Panel in Premiere Pro CS4 on a PC

    Hello.

I recently made the jump in Premiere Pro cs4

Ive watched some videos of training Total of Essential Training to beyond the basics

However they are all taught on Mac and I have a PC and have so often pause tutorials to decifer the PC version of some im being shown / sign.

IM understand everything so far, seem however there is 1 simple function, I can't understand.

On a PC, how do you get the metadata Panel to display in the monitor?

IM repeatedly told (on a Mac that is...):

    Click on window

Scroll down and select "metadata" to display the metadata Panel in the monitor.

On the PC, (windows 7 64 bit which is..) Metadata is not in the drop-down window, however.

Actually, theres lots of options in the drop-down windows on the mac in tutorials, which are not in the drop-down list of window on my PC version.

Ive climbed throughout the program by going to each Panel menu (such as the monitor menu) as:

    Edit > Preferences

    and the project settings menu

to be honest... I can not even find the WORD metadata, anywhere in a menu of Final Cut Pro.

    It's called something else?

The PC version is not it?

I know that I should do something simple/stupid and fake. Can someone help me please? Thank you

The metadata of a component are displayed in the location of the project

There is also a menu of "whirlwind down" (small triangle) in the project bin which allows you t o implement the display of the metadata.

  • First the metadata Panel Pro does not find in prelude?

I can't the Premiere Pro project metadata Panel to display in the window of metadata. I'm in the display of metadata settings, check the control panel and it does not appear. Return to settings I find the box unchecked. What Miss me?

    Hi Christophe,

Thanks for digging in the prelude and emphasizing in this regard.

In fact this "premiere Pro project metadata" option should not be present in the display of metadata inside prelude.

It works perfectly in Premiere Pro. You can choose one of the present field under "premiere Pro project metadata" to show as list view columns in the project Panel.

However, we cannot change the list view columns in the prelude project Panel.

There are chances, that it has been copied by mistake to the prelude of options from Premiere Pro.

This option should be removed from prelude. We're looking probably in it.

If you have concerns about any metadata stream, please report it. I'd love to discuss.

Take a look at the following posts about metadata in prelude.

  • How to select metadata fields to display in the list of the metadata Panel?

Is the any way to select the metadata fields that are displayed in the list in the metadata pane to the right in the library module and the card module?

You can use The Preset editor of metadata-Viewer plugin to set up your own Viewer presets.  If you are technical interested, you can download the free Lightroom SDK and configure new presets manually using a text editor - it is quite well researched but tedious.

  • Color of Label missing after upgrading to LR 2015.5.1.

My workflow in Lightroom is essentially based on the flags and color label. After the last update LR 2015.5.1 any label of color have disappeared while the s signs always available. Should mean that all marked images are now no while flagged images are always reported correctly.

I use creative cloud on Mac OS X 10.11.4 and did the update through the creative Application of cloud (as usual). My first idea was the issue could be assessed to the catalog. So I tried a backup of the catalog of before updating with the same result.

  • Why not Lightroom organizes photos and videos is missing 'date taken' by 'date modified' instead of 'creation date '?

It always seems to be a problem with Lightroom 5. This post is one of the first results, after trying to Google this problem, and it's for LR3. I don't understand why something so basic to some photos (and video) Organization has been neglected for so long.

I tried to import and organize all my old photos and videos by date with LR5. They have been backed up and copied several times over the years, most recently on an external drive last week. Thus, each file has a 'creation date' last week. But 'change' is the date recorded.

It's not bad for pictures with a good EXIF "date taken" - but LR5 resembles the "creation date" for videos, making it completely useless to organize them into folders based on date. He puts videos I recorded in 2010 (in accordance with the "modification date") in a case 2014-12. Why.

It is not only a video problem - some pictures that I took with devices that does not record date "EXIF taken" are also filed in folders of this month even if the 'update' on them is correct as is 5 years.

How can I count on LR5 organization importing and based on the date when it is based on the files (lack of "date taken") having never been copied or backed up?

It has been at least partially fixed in LR 5.5, for images: Lightroom: the dates do not match for the missing files metadata date/time.  But I just tested import a .avi in LR 5.7 / Windows 8.1 and the date below the thumbnail in the grid has been the time of last modification of the file system, while the Date of Capture in the metadata Panel has been set at the time of importation.

I started a new topic in the Adobe official feedback forum: Lightroom: capture still inconsistent date/time for videos. Please add your vote and review on it.

  • Why can I not see details of the metadata in the panels to the right edge in the workspace "Essentials"?

After using the bridge successfully for years, a weird problem occur. When I use my usual way, by using the workspace Essentials or a personalized version of this, I cannot see the metadata information (or sees only partially) nested inside each of the tabs - file properties to the Exif camera data to alter history.

See the screenshots below. It seems that the formatting has been changed to align with the right side instead of the usual left edge which moves when the Panel is moved from the text. I've done the obvious things but did not a complete uninstall/reinstall, partly because I can't take the time or the risk other problems right now. I use CS6 now; the next step will be to CC.  Anyone has any suggestions for a fix of the reinstall? Thank you!

    That's what I have now:

    1 Screen Shot 2014-04-30 at 11.36.05 AM.jpg

I can pull the right panel window much more to the left to reveal all the metadata, but I lose all real estate for the thumbnails. This is clearly a sign of something wrong:

    2 Screen Shot 2014-04-30 at 11.36.35 AM.jpg

It's what I used to see, and what I expect to see:

    3 Screen Shot 2014-04-30 at 3.48.22 PM Layout Mac.jpg

I don't know otherwise how can I phrase it, but I'll have one more try...

You expand the Panel by dragging the border of the Panel, so you can see the two columns of text in the metadata Panel.

Then, place the cursor on the small space between the two columns of text in the metadata Panel, NOT the border of the Panel. The cursor turns into a bar with arrows. If you drag it to the left, the left column should get closer and the wider right column.

When the left column is the right size, take the edge of the Panel and reduce it to its original size. The right column of the metadata text must always be visible because the left column is smaller.

    I'm all out of words.

  • Metadata panel > create the metadata model > I have an older model

I clicked on create metadata template so I should get a new empy model and not an old, already filled.

I can get a model (with the old title) only if I start Bridge and

Press the option key, together, otherwise I get a clean style, so I

kind of have to do this all the time, which is not normal.

I agree that this is not normal, meanwhile trying to use delete all values and

Save as another name for a security solution instead of refreshing prefs

    every time.

In addition, the appearance of the content of metadata has changed, probably due to

reset the default preferences.  All the people

topics of course not reflect the elements in metadata preferences, where

everything, really everything is stuck on and it is tons, really tons of

    them, no?

Reset the preferences set the IPTC to show all in the prefs of bridge. The

way faster to fix this is again to the metadata preferences Bridge

section, and clear the check mark (less) before the name in bold.

This deselects all the fields at once. Now, you have only to choose fields

you want to show again in the metadata Panel.

When you choose also hide empty fields, you will have a clean in control

the metadata Panel. Also don't forget, change the coches in bridge prefs only

affects the display of the fields and information capability in the metadata, all Panel the

Info and metadata are always present in the file (you can also check in)

    Info files/File menu or cmd + i)

Is there a way to return to the workspace with larger thumbnails?

Yes, workspace discount to zero or use down to the right to adjust the size of the cursor

    the inches.

But useless, as you said quite rightly, I used to use it to type in particular

descriptions for each tumbnails, the metadata Panel, and the description,

as well as the copyright notice and perhaps the author, from the model.

showed in the metadata workspace with large thumbnails.

As I already said never to use the workspace metadata I want to advice you

to play with a workspace for your own workflow. Drag the panels to

left or right (take the tab with the name of the Group of experts) and move it up to the

you see a blue line. A single blue line means that it fits between the other

panels, a surrounding blue line means that it makes its nest on a tab for the same panel.

You have 3 columns to work with, and you can also resize columns and

panels until you are happy. After that go to the top right triangle next

workspace name and choose the new workspace. Save it as a proper name and

You can still use this workspace again.

If you need to add information in the metadata, use the metadata Panel for her. Having

same information on multiple files simply select all the files, and type in this

Info only once to apply to all files. You can refine description

later if you need for one or more other files by selecting

    Once again.

Also rename batch is a very useful feature (SHIFTcmdR or tools/lot

(change of name). You can rename all of the files selected at once with different

other options or the number of sequences, to explore the fields and to add or remove a

field with the most and minus sign.

  • Question about the display of the metadata of jpeg in lightroom

    Hello

I briefly crossed the material of the SDK, but there are some aspects remaining unclear for me. More in detail, I would like to show the tag RegionName jpg file in LR metadata for research etc. This tag contains the Picasa face recognition data. I have already experienced the exiftool and how to add names to RegionName to the subject or keywords Tags in jpg-file and corresponding .xmp file to the raw file. However, I would like to find an elegant solution by showing the tag in the LR directly. Before you try to do the LUA code, I want to understand a few basic principles behind the plugin programming namely:

    (1) how to read the label RegionName since the jpg file and in what part of the plug-in? Is there a way to make LR read whenever "metadata file reading" is used?

    (2) how "publish" it displayed in the metadata Panel on the right side of the LR (this is handled a bit in the examples, even if I don't understand the reference to the com.adobe.xxx know what structure is really referring to?)

Comments and help is welcome on this page or any advice where to find information!

    Mikko

    Mikko,

LR provides access only to certain fields of metadata, not all.  RegionName is not one of the fields that LR is known, then you will not be able to use metadata methods of the SDK to access or display it.  In general, plugins that want to access this type of metadata to run the free Exiftool on the images and then analyze the output of Exiftool.

The ExifMeta plugin exposes all the metadata that is accessible by Exiftool as custom in LR metadata fields.  I suggest you to try this plugin see if it meets your needs.  If it isn't, you can examine its source code as an example of how to use Exiftool to access and view metadata.  Plugin author Rob Cole is a contributor of this forum and quite willing to answer the questions.

However, my metadata Panel (hearing CC 2015) is not a Menu of Options, just the menu Burger in three bars, which allows you to close the Panel, dock/undock, etc (see attachment).  Obsolete documentation or something else?

    Audition - Metadata Panel.png

    > I don't think that the explanation of the hearing help file is incorrect.

Well, I'm not agree at some level:

    1. The docs say "in the metadata Panel, change the text or adjust the values according to your needs.»  This isn't really the case.  I can't edit a lot / most of the fields (ex: "Content analysis" menu group only allow you to select or edit or clear all values).
    2. The icons used in the docs are outdated, as the specified icon to the such Option Menu exists.  This one, for example:

    > Otherwise you will have to use something like Adobe Bridge metadata or a third party editor to permanently remove metadata AFAIAA properties.

Yes, it's a bit what I thought.  Thanks for responding.

  • In the metadata, how to remove a country previously misspelled to auto-terminer name?

    I use Lightroom 3.6.

    Thank you

I guess you're asking on the country field in the IPTC metadata.

There is no way to delete only one entry as your misspelled country name. You can delete all entries in a field, however. Click on the name of the field in the metadata Panel and choose "delete these recent entries". Do not click on 'clear all recent entries '. Which erases all of your entries for all fields.
