    Hi Shwarup,

    Try to replace these lines:

    int handle = CodeModuleManager.getModuleHandle ("MyApp");

    ApplicationDescriptor appDescriptor = (handle) CodeModuleManager.getApplicationDescriptors [0];

    With this:

    ApplicationDescriptor appDescriptor = ApplicationDescripto.currentApplicationDescriptor ();

BTW, is "MyApp" the name of your application or the name of the module in your application?

  • Another entry point for the issue of the application

    Hello

As I read on this KB about to enter another application

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/set-up-an-alternate-entry-point-for-an-appli...

But on the KB above, the main application is UiApplication and other entry point is not UiApplication!

    2. for example, I have the application main who have 3 screens A, B, C. When user clicks on the icon for the main Application screens A. When the user clicks on the application of alternative entry point (another icon on the home screen), B screen. I wonder how we can do?

No, you create only one project. the ASP is set to the application descriptor.

  • HomeScreen.setName error "Module has no application entry point.

Hi people. I'm trying to change my name to the application and get an IllegalArgumentException: Module with handle [1619] and [0] index has no application entry points. The line of code is:

    HomeScreen.setName ("$" + Math.floor (allowanceRemaining) (int) + ":" + daysRemainingInCycle + "days");

My application starts automatically at startup. I'd appreciate any help!

    See you soon,.

    Justin Dutoit

An entry point is similar to a project.  Each application has at least one.  You can have multiple entry points.  One could be the passage of auto-start for the application and another might be an icon on the user can click.  You can read about it here:

How to - set up another entry point for my application
    Article number: DB-00008

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800901/How_To_-_setup...

To return to your mistake... Note that the process that triggers the PhoneListener methods is different from that of the process that your application runs in (when the autostart or handled by the user).  This means that you are trying to call setName to another application (not your own).  In order to change the name of your application, you will need to use the setName (String name, ApplicationDescriptor descriptor) method, where you pass the descriptor for your application.

  • WARNING! : no entry point found

I'm trying to implement another entry point to put an overview icon. I'm following exactly the steps in the developer's guide and instructions in the article (I think!).

    1. I created a 2nd project

    2. this project is defined as a "Point of entry to the CLDC replacement request.

    3. the "System Module" and 'Autorun at startup' flags are both checked.

    4. the project is set to be another point of entry for the name of my main project.

    5. my main project has a string as parameter the value for main() when you click the "gui".

When I compile this project, I get the following (on the draft of an alternative entry point) warning:

WARNING! : no entry point found
WARNING! : no definition not found for static exported routine: .main (String [])

In addition, the main() routine is never touched to auto-start. However, when I click the icon, the main() routine is hit with the setting "gui" implemented in the main project.

No exception is thrown. I use the JDE 4.3.0.1r, but I've also tried it on others with identical results.

Change the attributes of the entry point to be 'CLDC Application', just to smile and compiled. No change, still has the error.

Changed to "Other entry Point" again and compiled. Problem goes away.

  • Cannot locate the entry point in msvcrt.dll

During the installation of my program (created with LabWindows 'Building Distribution') on a specific computer, I get the following error:

"The point_except_handler4_common of procedure not found entry into the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll."

I understand that this is usually due to an older dll being on the computer for installation compared to the dll with which he was connected, and I checked, this is the case.

The target computer is running on all the updates, but the target computer is Windows XP, while the development computer is Windows 7.  I have problems with this configuration with other programs, but maybe other programs weren't looking at this entry point.   Setup has successfully installed on other Windows 7 machines.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Angie

Something to check is to make sure that the distribution kit does not include the Windows system files in the distribution of PC development kit.  She can do if you have libraries in your project from the kit of development Windows or DDK (as ShFolder.lib).  In this case the end generally install and run software on a computer running the same version of Windows as the development machine, but all kinds of problems occur when you try to install on another version.

  • NImax.exe entry point not found TDMS_GetDataValueEx in cviTDMS.dll

I have a remote PXI-8108 and I am trying to create a task in MAX.  I have no other task, because this is my first attempt to create a.  The following sequence is executed on the remote system: left click on the PXI-6713 under ' devices OR-DAQmx '--> the task of creating--> trigger signal--> analog output--> voltage--> ao0--> name by default 'MyVoltageOutTask'--> click on "Finish".

An entry Point not found error called "NIMax.exe -" window appears with the following message: the TDMS_GetDataValuesEx procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library cviTDMS.dll.

The only option is to click on 'OK', date at which the box reappears constantly.  the only way to get rid of it is to kill MAX in the windows Task Manager.  When I restart MAX, district data remote system has broken below task and clicking on it locks up program (a need to kill another in windows Task Manager).  The only way to get rid of it is to reset the distance the DAQmx system setup and start again.

I reinstalled NIDAQ 8.9.0, reset the configuration of the remote system in MAX, set day/reinstall all the software on the remote system (so that it matches the host system).  don't know what else to try.  I think that this should be a basic step: I did a lot of times with features simulated on a host system.  Not sure why the remote system gives me problems.

I was able to do this on a controller of 8196 DAQmx 9.0 on the regulator and my computer having 8.9.5 smoothly.  Upgrade to 8.9.5 9.0 or even should update MAX and hopefully get rid of what you see.  You are right that the host and the controller must have the same driver version so make sure that you update the two together.  It is quite strange that the error is the link to a DLL of LabWindows/CVI.  Do you use a RT CVI on the controller?

  • Entry point parameters

Could of help with entry Points please?

Specifically, I would like to pass a parameter in the process model [I don't want to use a reminder to the customer order]

It seems that entry Points can have parameters, but how do you provide these parameters for it?

For example, below, 'Single Pass' Gets the sequence name passed as a parameter.

    Thank you

    Ronnie

"If I wanted to add another parameter to 'Single Pass', could it be done? -or

which would involve customization of the GUI (which I'm not). »

Yes, it would be GUI customization. However, there are many other ways to get data at your port of entry, including the file globals and globals station Execution.RunTimeVariables. Of course, you can also share data through modules of code without even using a mechanism of TestStand.

  • Skype error: "Skype.exe point of entry not found the procedure entry point ntalpcsendwaitreceiveport...". »

Sorry for the ridiculously long title, but that is exactly the error I get.  When I contacted my friends @ Skype that they just told me it's associated windows problem.  I thought, but the error message appear says SKYPE not Windows. Anyway, there is a certain irony in all of this that Skype is a Microsoft company. I'm absolutely furious since Skype perhaps in conjunction with Windows has developed a kind of points of failure...

Original title: skype.exe point of entry not found the procedure entry point ntalpcsendwaitreceiveport could not be found in the dynamic link library.

Please note that the thread referenced in 'Question (1)' has been marked as the answer by a moderator, and not by the person who asked the question.  It is highly unlikely that will help in the Safe Mode, starting in a start-up in minimal mode or sfc/scannow configuration. Of course, you're welcome to try these things.

Uninstall and reinstall of Skype as suggested in "Question 2" would have been my first guess, but a bit of searching online suggests that it also assisted.  Again, try if you wish.  When you uninstall Skype, you will not lose your contacts.

Research online, I've mentioned suggests that the problem is caused by software Kies from Samsung.  You have this installed on your system?  If so (or even if not), go to C:\Windows\system32 and rename avrt.dll.  You can call it avrt.dlX or something else you like.  Reset.  Let us know if that fixes the problem.  If it didn't, or he did something another break, you can always change the original name (this is why rename is safer than deletion).

1 uninstall and reinstall Skype did not help.

    2. as I read it is something related to KIES, I uninstalled KIES, Samsung USB driver for mobile phones, Samsung Symbian USB Driver download and Samsung Mobile Modem Driver Set and then open Skype - problem persisted even after that.

    3. I have re-installed KIES because I thought that this has nothing to do with it.

    4. I have no intend to rename avrt.dll because I thought it would be the cause of defects in KIES.

    It worked!

9 then I tried using KIES. It came with all the mistakes that I used it.

Now, what I want to know.

    "What application uses avrt.dll?

"Where I got since I renamed it?

Please help me get rid of this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

avrt.dll is a Windows system file.

When you rename the file should not ask any questions before the performance of the computer.

However, if in case you face any question I suggest you to copy the file from another computer on Windows 7 in good health.

This program is associated with Dell Datasafe and possibly other Dell programs pre-installed on their computer. If you don't use a Dell Datasafe, you can try to uninstall it.

For the first question, according to this forum thread, it seems you have to go into Add/Remove programs and uninstall MobileMe and iCloud. These programs are installed automatically when you install iTunes.

For the second error message, you may need to reset your Internet Explorer settings. Here is a fix from Microsoft.

I hope that these fixes work for you! Otherwise, please provide more info on your system (i.e. product name/number, operating system and browser you use, and performance issues that you encounter beyond just error messages).

  • ADVAPI32. DLL - the entry point of procedure not found in the dll

I just updated my OS from Win XP x 64 for Win 7 x 64. On my XP, I had a program called VVD works just fine. The software is protected by HASP device.

When you install the VVD on my new operating system, at the end of the installation, an error message comes up with the title "ADVAPI32.dll" followed with a red circle with a white "x" mark and text "the entry point of procedure not found in the dll."

According to the Publisher of the software, the program is running (and install) free disorder on many machines x 64 Win7 so there must be something special on my PC.

Shoul, I try to replace the file? How do I do that?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello.

I just did a clean boot and tried to install the software. I got the same message: "the procedure not found in the dll entry point." This message appears at the end of the installation during "update system configuration. Please wait. »

I don't think that I have no viruses. I run Microsoft Security Essentials on my machine. In addition, installation also failed on two other Win7 computers with the same message. I tried to install the software in all kinds og compatibility modes but keep getting the same exact message. Is there another way/method I could use to isolate the problem?

The problem is now resolved after SafeNet has released a new version og the pilot.
