Another install dir

I try to install TimesTen on a machine of redhat on which I don't have root access.

The installer wants to put data in/etc/TimesTen, even when I specify a different root help dir

./Setup.sh-alt_rootdir ~.

Is there a way to get around this?

Thank you
Sam

TimesTen Installer requires that the/etc/TimesTen directory exists and that the user who runs a TimesTen installs is able to write to a file called "instance_info" that are there. The creation of this directory and the permissions necessary for it are documented in the installation of TimesTen Guide. There is only a small file created; the registry, which records details of each TimesTen installation on the machine. This is especially mandatory for Setup there is not (supported0 average around this that I'm afraid; you need to somehow get this directory is created and the correct permissions assigned. As part of this, you also have to choose/create one specific group of o/s installation of TT group and make sure that all users who need to install their own copy of the TT is a member of this group. Yet once, it is all documented in the Installation Guide.

Kind regards

  • Another question on the T510 restoration after an another installed sys

    Hello guys,.

I tried to read this forum through several times in order to find the answer, but still not able to get my work from the laptop.

I installed Win8 instead of manufactured Win7, then killed an option to use the ThinkVantage button as I see it.

Sheet music: Lenovo_Recovery and SYSTEM_DRV (could be something appeared after) are still there.

RnR downloaded, shows - error 6.

None of the restore or backup discs.

The question here is - can I still use this partition for something and somehow restore from there?

    Would appreciate any help here.

IIRC, there was a WIM environment that was on SYSTEM_DRV which was the rescue of the recovery and the recovery environment. You may need to add an entry to BCD for this... somehow. No idea how to do it with Windows 8.

  • Why do I need Microsoft security updates when I have another installed security program. That is to say; Norton?

Are updates necessary security when I run Norton Antivirus?

    Yes, you need both.

Updates to close vulnerabilities in the system of Windows OS (& other Microsoft programs). Programs such as Norton to prevent you get viruses - for example by downloading or via a USB flash drive.

You should also check that you have a firewall in place as well.

The verbal and demo explanation does not use the original location/Oracle HOme of the previously
installed for the binary PFRD base.   It probably should.

In addition, for some steps to follow to patch binaries PFRD, I'd put it:

Step 4.  I am guessing that the patch will establish an another sub dir Disk1 and don't want to overwright
installation of the initial PFRD, therefore, moves the Group of hotfixes as follows.

    CD/opt/web/install/PortalUpgradeAdvisor/pfrd
    960 ls - ltr
    Group of hotfixes mkdir 961
    Group patches 962 mv p11060983_111140_LINUX.zip

    Yes, VNC gui and

Specify the installation location.  Always to
    Oracle Middleware homepage: / opt/oracle/Middleware
    and
An Oracle home directory: as_2 # I bet it must be as_1 because that is where the initial PFRD install binary files has occurred.

NOTE: The summary of the Installation in the video screen escape the Oracle Home is the previous specified during the initial installation. That is to say. PFRD_Binaries.   I guess I should have named that instead of taking the default as_1. At least I would have to have done that.  Well.  Maybe this story might help the next guy.

    Also

NOTE: The Installation screen is not "from" group of patches as in the video where it says
Install Oracle Portal, forms, reports, and discover the Group of hotfixes.

    Hi Charlie
I'm a little confused by this feedback. Especially when you say that you see the option "install - do not configure. Should this option is visible only when you run the Basic 11.1.1.2 PFRD the software installer. The Group of hotfixes 11.1.1.4 has his own 'runInstaller'... and this will display what you see in the viewlet. You definitely run the installer from the directory of stage in the Group of hotfixes? (I'll do my own validation test - if I find something strange going on... I'll report.)

I now take the following action

    1. I will put the Viewlet so it is clear that the Group of hotfixes is staged in a different place from the base 11.1.1.2 media
    2. provide that nothing must be running (because at this point, no instance of 11 g of construction has been configured)
    3. There's a "slippage" that illustrates the Middleware and Oracle Home entries in the screen "Location of Installation to specify" IE

    Middleware homepage: / u01/alca_portal/middleware
    Oracle home: PFRD_Binaries

However, you will see that this slide for 2 seconds (which is an error) and if you miss it probably.

Just FYI - the House of Oracle 11 g correction is in general the same procedure as patching a mid-layer House AS10g i.e

-You set the Oracle Home base using the installation of the basic software program
-You patch the Oracle home using the installation program of the Group of hotfixes

  • Trouble installing CS5 Design Premium - please help a novice!

It is almost impossible for me, someone who is new to MAC in general, to understand what is happening with my system. But I learned a little through online searches and the suppory community. Ultimately no part of the entire program was already installed on my computer. Is there someone you could ask to help me. I have problems of the research on the specific error code, which I believe is where I find my answer. Most of the information I could dig up is outdated, dating back many years and does not apply (unless I'm missing something).

I'll also post this information to the community and you send another link (updated). If you could pass it on to someone who could help me to analyze the logs... Errors, I would be grateful. My work pile up!

Support I was called last night and offered little assistance and asked me nothing about my system or errors that occurred, telling me that the problem I feel is caused by the server updated adobe plug-ins for only support CS6 essentially making obsolete the CS5. I find this hard to believe since my fiance just to install the other licence (I bought 2 licenses) successfully, the first test, only 2 weeks ago. I tried to install on my system since then, nothing helps.

First that I want to point out that I had the trial version CS3 and CS4 trial version on my system before and I can't have uninstalled a couple of them correctly.

NOTE: These programs are already present in my utilities: Adobe Air App, Acrobat X.

NOTE: In the window to install CS5 Design Premium, InDesign is not supported so I unchecked that install the rest of the programs and also tried to install only the CS5 Adobe Photoshop only. Had the same error in the installation window.

I have registered newspapers that were written only during installation time, and will post or send it (on request) to anyone who could, would offer a support. (I was punished for posting the logs to a Community Forum applies, so I want someone piss off and reduce my chances of assistance.)

There seems to be conflicting information on the system requirements, so I can't solve the problem of the installation.

    My system:

    MacBook, 32-bit

    Intel Dual processor

1 GB of Ram (a source tells me I need 2 GB of RAM, a minimum of 500MG, says this file, the box of the product reads 1 GB)

    35 GB of free space

Logging HFS +, case preserving file system

32-bit (which tells me CS5 auto adjusts the 64 bit suggested)

I ran a cleaner utility, tried installation at startup. And get the same results, nothing installs and the same error message... ERROR: failed to update driver data. The driver entry has not been added. ARP estimated size 3726KB

  • Cannot download and install programs or well they will not start when it is installed

In the past two months all of a sudden some programs no longer work and I can't install new programs.

Ex 1 that I downloaded and installed SKYPE and used it no problem, now I can't open it for use on my computer. If someone calls me, I can access and use it.

Ex 2, I can not install the Blackberry connection on the computer. I can download the program on my counter top, it starts the installation and then installs.

I did a restore on the computer last night to to back to September when things worked. This did not help?

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?
    2. do you get an error message when you try to install the Blackberry connection?

It is possible that another installed 3rd party program or application is causing the conflict with this installation. Also launch Skype on own startup and check.
You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

I'm trying to reinstall Dreamweaver CS3 from the CD after having computer problems.  Now get the error 'you cannot install an Adobe product at a time.  Please fill the other installation before installing... "There is no other Adobe product install.  I have used the cleaning tool Adobe several times and uninstalled other Adobe products, but none worked.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled this version of Dreamweaver CD several times when changing computers and after you had computer problems. A google search of the proposed problem that there is an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues.  Help, please.

Absolutely not. You're misinterpreting things. Activation does not happen when you simply run the installer, although later. This means that what he says - there is another 'install' pending / assets on your system, which means somewhere, there is a process (invisible) always blocking things. Whatever it is, since you have not provided any real technical info, we can not advise specifically. If you are using Windows, you can check your task manager and to terminate any process setup.exe and msiexec.exe more potentially will need to manually fix / remove some registry keys. What beyond this, you will be much more accurate.
