Another mp3 player problem

I managed to get all my music into the windows media player for my mp3 player and it's pretty easy, but then when I watch on my player is not under artist and not in the right albums. Just all the songs will be under the name of the artist and not in albums. But it is labeled correctly when in windows media player. Help!

Hi KristaC,

Windows media player pulls its information from MP3 tags when it shows the songs.

If there are items in your library that have information on the appropriate media, and you want to copy the attributes of another element that contains incorrect information, you can do it quickly by dragging the incorrect item on top of the correct item.

  1. Click on the library tab.
  2. In the Navigation pane, expand library, and then click a view, Album, artistor Genre.
  3. In the details pane, drag the element that has the media information incorrect on the top of the element that has the appropriate support information.

For example, drag "Unknown Album" on top of the album "Giant Steps." All the items in "Unknown Album" part of "Giant Steps".

  1. If a confirmation dialog box appears, click Yes.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/add-or-edit-media-information-in-Windows-Media-Player

The player can automatically scan the files in your library and download missing media information or attempt to correct the incorrect media information. To change this setting, follow these steps:

  1. Click the arrow below the library tab, and then click Other Options.
  2. In the Automatic media for files updates box, check retrieve additional information from the Internet .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If you want the player only add information from media that does not exist in your files, click Add missing information only.
    • If you want the player to replace all the information media in your files, click replace all media information.

Be careful with this option. If you manually change the media information in your files, this option will potentially overwrite all your changes.

  • Problem with to keep my songs on the 'unknown' folder in my mp3 player

I know that a lot of people have asked this question, but mine is a little more complicated.

This happened to me several times, but usually attaches.

I pulled all the songs on a CD.  I put them on my mp3 player.  Some songs of this album even find their way into the much dreaded "unknown" file.

I go on my computer and in the album that are the songs in the folder 'unknown '.

I right click on one of the songs that was 'Unknown', I go to 'Properties' 'Summary', 'Advanced' to fill the missing album title, when, to my surprise... She is already there.  The simplequi I'm confused on this the fact that all the spaces are filled, but when I am interested in all of the songs on the album in the music to my computer folder, they first of all the title of the song, name of the artist and the title of the album.  The songs that are in the 'Unknown' folder in my mp3 player have the title of the album under the artist name missing, but is there in the 'summary '.  I tried to change its name, but it does not help.  I used different CD ripping programs as well as programs of marking, but nothing works.

It's seriously annoying me and I asked on several different sites, but people keep making me what I listed alreadt tried.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I would really like to hear them.

I use Windows XP if it is of any importance.

Also, I had these songs on my mp3 player before and they were very good, but they erased when I formatted, so I had to pull them out again, and that's when the problem started.

Have you tried mp3tag with changed parameters of Tags/Mpegs? Seriously?

Somehow these fields must be completed correctly. If they are not, well, the Sansa reads what's in the fields, and nothing else is going to help.

Try to use mp3tag, highlighting all the songs and put in all fields that have problems, like the Album.  Save tags (under file). Then (with all the titles still highlighted) put the correct Album title in the Album and still save.

There are tags out there who do not want to be deleted. You can see what's there with mp3tag - look under the label to see what types of tags are written. Then go to Tags/Mpeg and make sure that you can read and write these tags. Or just check everything.  Then resave the title of the Album.

I got a tenacious album which had EPA and ID3v2.3 tags, and the tags of the EPA have prevented the ID3 tags are fixed.  I had to put mp3tag to read and write the APE tags as well.

  • Problem with MP3 Player Widget

I use the MP3 player widget and during the "site of the preview in the browser" - everything worked fine, stood, button worked, played the song in the song, etc. But now that I've just uploaded to FTP, the song will not play. The button changes to 'arrow' on 'pause', but there is no sound. I found the MP3 file in c-Panel, so I don't know what the problem is now. Thank you!

It might be the case where incorporate format only is not supported on the hosting platform.

Please try to publish the site in British Colombia as a place to test that will isolate the issue,

  • problem with the path to the mp3 player

I downloaded and personalized this nice little mp3 player. It seems I want only it but the songs will not play. It says that it cannot find them. I put 4 slightly different paths to the same song. Here is my text for this page: http://global1ent.com/musictest6.html

I put the song in mp3 format in a file called audio where the rest of the stuff for the reader to playlist.xml also are placed.

I know I must be missing something important, but I can't see it.

I hope someone can help. Thank you in advance.

Hey, I hear the music now on 1 and 4 of the song so you need to get it sorted!

Use the same naming format in the xml file that you have made to these 2 songs and see how it works.

  • How can I make USB mp3 player/flash drive bootable?

    Hello
I have a big problem. Less than a month ago, I backed up my computer using the latest version of Norton ghost 10.0. I then burned the data on a DVD and I kept it safe. today I encountered a problem, I just couldn't cess internet on my laptop, install/uninstall a program, or access help and support. so I got the DVD in the DVD drive backup, I open Norton ghost clicked recovery and then clicked on restore my computer. I told where to look for the backup and restoration began, but then I came across an error message that says the following:

Cannot complete the restore point recovery d:\Toshiba ghost image001.v2i

-EC8F178F error: unable to complete the restoration of recovery point: D:\Toshiba ghost image001.v2i.
-EC8F03F1 error: could not open the recovery point "D:\Toshiba ghost image001.v2i.
-EBAB03E9 error: internal error of Application: c0000005 Memory Access Violation: Application attempted to read memory at 034bac3c.

I have another way to restore the data, that it is thanks to an mp3 player or flash bootable disk, the computer, but on the flash disk, the operating system there. is it possible to do the flash drive bootable.
I would like to know this, because if it starts the flash or mp3 disc I can then delete the contents of the hard drive and restore data.

and also when you try to restore, he said a file or program using the sound trying to restore.

    can someone help,
    concerning

    Hello kamal

The best way to start the device in DOS mode is to use the external floppy drive. This disc is not expensive and if your data is so important, you can invest a few dollars to buy it. Using the startup disk that you'll be able to boot into DOS mode and do what you want to do.

I also recommend you to contact Norton and see if they have a solution just how to install the created image.

With mp3 player, you will not be able to start.

  • WMP does not recognize my MP3 player

I plug the MP3 trying to sync music from WMP and it does not recognize. Nothing happens.

Looks like a problem with the USB port or the MP3 itself. I suggest that you try to plug something else into the port and also try the MP3 player on another PC, to see which of the two is causing problems.
