Display in Sansa Clip 1 GB MP3 player problem

My player is having a problem in the display. Letter (alphabet) in the menu and the letters, while the song are distorted. But the numbers representing the number of song at the top and battery charge screen work properly. Even the welcome note 'Sansa' and 'goodbye' Note closing are displayed correctly.
Because the letters are distorted, I am not able to navigate through the options, song or perform any operation like look for a song.

The elements that are deformed, are:

Display the name of the artist

Display the name of the song title and album

View letters in the menu

  • SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB MP3 player with FM Radio

    Hello-

My new sansa clip + out of the box and I'm not able to do Radio FM works.  Battery is charged.  All I get on screen is a set of headphones and the 'music '.  I do not expect to play music because I have not yet loaded, but I expect to be able to get FM radio but can't seem to get there.  Any suggestions on how I have to happen?  Thank you.

Please note that I do not see a menu of items to select from the MP3 player.  I do not see a "lock" or "unlock".

My computer recognizes the drive as a new piece of hardware.

The reader does not recognize the software on the CD when I put the CD in the computer.

The player does not allow me to make the software what I t hink is the "root directory" for the player.  I guess tha the directory "root" is the "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" or the "internal memory".  It allows me to copy in one of these.   Appears as:

    + The Sansa Clip + 4 GB

    -Internal memory

    + Albums

    + Audio books

    + Music

    + Playlists

    + Podcasts

    + Records

    + Service

My D drive that reads the CD has these files it contains:

Autorun.inf and sansa - install .exe and one other file that reads:

fscommand with these files it contains: dloadrhap.exe, dloadrhap.txt, proxy.bat, proxy.exe

If I do not have need of these, please let me know.  I don't want to stuff more then I need to run the player.

I'm assuming that I need only the files autorun.inf and the sansa - install .exe.

I do not understand what is Rhapsody or why I need.

    Thank you.

    Bonnie

Now, don't laugh at this suggestion, but: when you get the player, there is a transparent plastic sticker that was placed on the screen of the player, which has a screen simulation showing the items that describe you see on your screen - have - you, you take off the sticker? (It generally is a small tab on the right side of the tile to help with that.) Once you do this, the player I hope will begin to operate as expected. On the CD, you don't need at all! The CD is required to use the separate music Rhapsody and optional subscription service (for which you pay every month, after a free trial, usually). If you do not want the service, go to the CD. Finally, you should check and see if your drive is the latest firmware - look under settings to the player and to compare this version number firmware recent listed in the upgrade thread Firmnware sticky at the top of this forum. If the thread here has a more recent version of firrmware, recommended that you upgrade to it-, it is very easy to do. I hope this helps!

  • Another mp3 player problem

I managed to get all my music into the windows media player for my mp3 player and it's pretty easy, but then when I watch on my player is not under artist and not in the right albums. Just all the songs will be under the name of the artist and not in albums. But it is labeled correctly when in windows media player. Help!

    Hi KristaC,

Windows media player pulls its information from MP3 tags when it shows the songs.

If there are items in your library that have information on the appropriate media, and you want to copy the attributes of another element that contains incorrect information, you can do it quickly by dragging the incorrect item on top of the correct item.

    1. Click on the library tab.
    2. In the Navigation pane, expand library, and then click a view, Album, artistor Genre.
    3. In the details pane, drag the element that has the media information incorrect on the top of the element that has the appropriate support information.

For example, drag "Unknown Album" on top of the album "Giant Steps." All the items in "Unknown Album" part of "Giant Steps".

    1. If a confirmation dialog box appears, click Yes.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/add-or-edit-media-information-in-Windows-Media-Player

The player can automatically scan the files in your library and download missing media information or attempt to correct the incorrect media information. To change this setting, follow these steps:

    1. Click the arrow below the library tab, and then click Other Options.
    2. In the Automatic media for files updates box, check retrieve additional information from the Internet .
    3. Do one of the following:
      • If you want the player only add information from media that does not exist in your files, click Add missing information only.
      • If you want the player to replace all the information media in your files, click replace all media information.

Be careful with this option. If you manually change the media information in your files, this option will potentially overwrite all your changes.

  • I just got a Sansa Fuze 4 GB MP3 player... Help?

I have just received, installed the Rhpasody Media Manager, but when I plugged the real player, it was unable to install as a new device. First of all, I got this messege bubble in my bar saying my device can run faster, then a bubble pops up saying that an error has occurred and that my device does not work correctly. I tried to install a new media player and update my service pack for XP SP3, but it does not always work.

I even used windows troubleshooting and tried to install it manually. What should I do? Can anyone help? I mean, it charges and everything. At least I think it does. The screen that is displayed whenever it is plugged into the USB 'Connected' bed and bar dough gets on the Board and keep flciking as if he were in charge. What should I do? Even at the start of WMP 11, no device does appear for me to sync.

    Help?

Is the drive set to PSG for the USB mode? The player must be in MTP for Rhapsody mode or to work with WMP.

  • Unable to sync the MP3 player

original title: SanDisk Sansa Clip 4 GB Media Player

I can sync my music from my Mp3, but it will not play on the Mp3. Why is this?

Hey! I have the exact same MP3 player as you do. :) I had this problem before. What I've done I plugged my mp3 into the computer, went into media player and click on my mp3 player. Then I went to the music... I deleted the songs that would not play mp3 but not the computer. Then I clicked on start, music, then some songs would not play, I did drag the music file to the folder of the sansa. It copies into the mp3 player. He should be playing then. Once, when I did it, a box came up saying "you want to play the files on your mp3 player? Click Yes so that if it happens. I hope this helps! :) If it does not fully answer your question, let me know because I have other ideas that might help too. :)

    Hello

First of all, thanks a lot for taking the time to help me.

After having tried everything you have suggested and have no chance and then by searching the Microsoft sites, Dell and SanDisk, I finally found a very simple solution that worked.

Thought I would pass it for any future reference.

The SanDisk site said to try this:

The steps below will force your readers Sansa Connect mode MSC on your PC.

2 hold down the central button while connecting the device to the computer.
