  • How Merge iPhoto, Aperture, library of Photos (and avoid duplication)?

Hello, I had several iPhoto and opening libraries which were badly named and who had no doubt duplicates. I have now opened and Photos created new libraries. Then the Photos seems to have renamed some of the libraries, I think that each of my old iPhoto/Aperture libraries has a corresponding photo library (except one).

I would switch to a lightroom finder-hosted workflow and I want to get all my photos in a big file (or a folder with subfolders dated), with all duplicates marked for deletion. Ideally, I'll end with a master and a modified version of the final files, but if it's too hard, I'm OK with a few masters.

Is it possible to automate this process?

Attached a screenshot of the mess...

I would like to use Power Photos to merge libraries of Photos into a library. Pictures lacks tools to merge libraries.

Photos of power can move photos between libraries of Photos, as well as find duplicates.

  • Import Album Aperture in Photo Album

I forgot how to import an Aperture album in a photo album. I exported the album but this is a library.

My goal is to import albums with key words, original, etc. in a photo album.

Drag the Aperture exported with your book on the Photos icon in the Dock library.  Photos will create a new library of Photos in the Aperture library.

You can not import the Aperture library into an existing photo library, only to migrate to a separate photo library.

  • How can I install an older version of Aperture?

    Hi all

    I use a MacBook Pro mid-2010.

For some time it has been my main work laptop and I was always updated to the latest versions of OS X.

My hobby is photography so in 2012, I also bought Aperture and I also kept up to date.

However, after upgrade to OS X El Capitan (10.11 I think) my laptop performance gradually declined and he became very slow. I also bought a new laptop and my Mac has become my second laptop.

I decided to go back to the roots and install OS X Lion on it (10.7.5).

However when I try to download and install the latest version of the opening (3.6), I get an error message that OS X 10.10 is necessary...

Can someone tell me how can I find and install an older version of Aperture (for example the 3.4.5 which I think is the last version that supports the 10.7 Lion)?

    Thank you!

You still have the original installer DVD for Aperture?

You need a full installer for Aperture 3. If you bought version Aperture box with a serial number, use this DVD.  Then update to this version of the opening page of Apple Aperture download 3.4.5 update 3.4.5

There is no way to download a complete Installer for Apple Aperture, because the opening is is sold and implemented to the point. The only that downloadable version is 3.6 since the AppStore opening, if you already updated to this version of the AppStore. Then you can reinstall 3.6 of the opening of the history of your purchases (fourth tab from the AppStore). Download page for Apple on the supprt page has only updated for the opening, but not full installers.

If you do not have a separate installation program use your Time Machine backups and go back as I have the time of your days of Lion, if the backup history is going well. Restore an older version of the opening of the Applications folder. New versions of opening 3.3 is self contained and you can simply copy them into the Applications folder.

  • Moving original files in Aperture

If I import an original file from the desktop (or any other folder) on my Mac to an album of the opening, it creates a new project called "desktop", where the original file is stored. It is a version of the original in the album I tried to import the original file to. If I delete this 'Office' unwanted project, the version of the album is also deleted. Even if I try to save the (original) file in the 'Office' project undesirable as an original once again on the desktop and try to import again album where I'm actually, he did the same thing again, creating a new office project and updates a version in the album where the original must be. This seems to be kind of a 'catch 22', - whatever I do, the original stays in a separate project, not in the album where he is wanted. Is there a way to fix this?

All of the original that you import opening must be within a project. Projects are basic containers in Aperture. Each imported image and all its published versions are exactly a project. You can add the photo to as many albums as you want, but do not delete the project. Which will remove the Aperture library photo and all photos.  If you don't want to have a new project for each new import, merge projects into larger projects to maintain the number of small projects or move the pictures from the project office to another project.

Or specify the destination project in the Panel "file > import". When you import image files to an Aperture library, you can select a destination project in the import settings panel:

  • Why my monthly photo stream stopped appearing in Aperture?

I use my monthly picture of opening flow to organize my photos in various opening files, after which I can remove the photo stream to keep things tidy.  March 2016 was the last stream of photos that appeared.  I weekly backup and install all new updates, such as requested by Apple.  Learn how to use the opening was a steep learning curve for me, and I think now that it is more intuitive to use than 'photos '.  I wouldn't think that Aperture is is no longer supported by Apple.

    Any advice?

    Thank you

What has changed since March? What version of the operating system and opening you have?

and unfortunately Aperture is no longer supported by Apple

  • Former iPhoto and Aperture User grieving

Before you convert it to El Capitan (ver. 10.11.6), I appreciate the help I havepicture and the opening.  Although the pictures replace actually I havethe Photo, there are situations where I liked having the deep characteristics of the opening.  After having not read all the subtleties, I learned the hard way that these applications would be will stop working during the execution of El Capitan.  i picture is not so much a problem, but losing Aperture is a bitter pill to swallow, especially considering what I paid for the application.

The App store continues to send updates to I havepicture and the opening, but the OS does not allow me to apply.  Is it preferable that I delete these apps from my system (iMac), move forward with Photos?  At a minimum, what is the solution to stop doing updates?  In the ideal, is there an option somehow continue to use Aperture?

Your expertise and your interest is really appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Phillip McDowell

You need to be a little more specific I have spin El Capitan and I always use Aperture. Certainly, it is no longer supported, but it certainly still works with El Capitan (I don't know if it still works with the new OS coming out this fall if). Besides, the fact iPhoto. Photos is installed by default, but it does not remove iPhoto - when you open a photo, you can just bring up the get info window by selecting the photo icon, then pressing command + I. Then modify the application you want to use with this photo - or all of them - to iPhoto.

  • Aperture raw update

Back to some old records and albums at the opening, I noticed a notice in the upper part of the tab for setting saying me that the Apple RAW engine for selected photos had been updated and click on the box to reprocess the blow; In doing so, nothing happens and I can't change anything for this image. Someone has an idea of what is happening and how to fix this?

Well, I stop everything, rebooted and now opening works very well... Now tell me, did Apple something opening? I use Capture One for a year (and import of JPG files resulting in Aperture because of her mother superior) and liked the results. Play with opening again this morning I found that quality Aperture was - VERY GOOD compared to Capture One!

  • MacPhun.  Is it viable and offers nothing more than Aperture 3

Does anyone know if the photo editing application Macphun is a safe application and it offers no advantage over Aperture 3.  I use a macbook pro retina and Mavericks OS.

There is no real alternative to Aperture 3.

Why do you want to spend?

3.5.1 opening still works under OS X Mavericks.

Until the new application Photos include more features that are the reports of the opening, are some, but very different alternatives.

Site is just a bunch of separate applications, bundled which may or may not open workflow approach.

    Here are some to consider.

    Adobe Lightroom

Serif Photo of Affinity Labs (now spent $ 49.99)

    Darktable 2.0.5 (free)

    Corel Aftershot Pro Mac edition

    Capture One Pro

  • I just upgraded to El Capitan.  Our photos are in both iPhoto and Aperture.  Is it possible to include both libraries in Photos (El Capitan)?

Our photos were in iPhoto and Aperture until the upgrade to El Capitan.  Photo and the opening are now gone.  Is it possible to include both of these libraries in Photos of El Capitan?  (When I added the second library of Photos, the first library disappeared.)

Use PowerPhotos or the library to iCloud to merge; If necessary, launch Photos with Option key button and choose another library.

  • How do you export an Aperture to Lightroom library?

I have Lightroom v. 5.x and I want to export my library in Ant opening opening not lose my changes or metadata.  In other words, I don't want to import all the raw files in Lightroom and have to change them again.  I thought I could export all projects jpg and then import them, but I'd rather have to change again without losing quality and RAW files.  Any suggestions?

Sorry, but that's not an option - LR can not use the Aperture library - you need to export your photos (either the originals or the current version) and import into LR

Export as a JPEG of high quality images gives you data loss minimum with sizes of files a little reasonable - you really want without data loss, then export as TIFF that require a lot of disk

  • With the help of Yosemite, I like Photos app in general; have big Aperture library, although I use rarely opening Tools. Advantages, disadvantages and pitfalls related to the migration of Photos?

With the help of Yosemite, I like Photos app in general; have big Aperture library, although I use rarely opening Tools. Advantages, disadvantages and pitfalls related to the migration of Photos?

Opening was a pro the Pro amateur-oriented or serious app, usually shooting Raw, probably on a digital SLR.

If that's you then pictures will miss a lot for you.

If this isn't the case, then opening was probably overkill for your needs.

If you like the pictures then this is the way to go.

  • I made a scrapbook using Aperture, but Apple it will not print.  What can I do?

    Printing a photobook by Apple.

You can save your photo to open in PDF format book and printed it by Presto of Photo or other services.

Or recreate the photo for Mac book - it's only printing service that apple currently offers. But you cannot custom pictures for Mac provisions.

  • Aperture App Store update

"This update is not available for this Apple ID..."

The software is valid but not associated with me in the app store.

How can I get the update?

Have converted (boxed) copy of Aperture 2 (and serial number).

Apple updated to version 3 (dvd rang got the replacement).

a replacement DVD to apple (having the Express Lane file number for replacement of disk, the serial number possible in the case, but no physical serial number).

Aperture is no longer updated since the AppStore because Apple has stopped the development and sells is no longer.

The only way that still works is to reinstall and reinstall install opening 3.6 on El Capitan and Yosemite, and it is possible, if the opening is in the history of your purchases on the App Store.  (See: update to Aperture 3.6 after the publication of Photos). You will need assistance from the Apple Support to update for opening 3.6.

Apple Support resulted in a case of fe by providing a redemption code, it has been possible to reinstall it from the App Store.

You have to be very insistent and pretend that you are entitled to update Aperture 3.6 as the owner of Aperture 3.
