APEX theme 5.0 backport IE 6

Hi all

I use IE 11 and APEX 5.0 to develop the program to download files for our users.

During UAT, we did most of our users are still using Windows XP and IE 6 and more.  Thus the universal theme that I use renders properly in their browser.

Can I know what are the theme or CSS I use in my program APEX towards the rear for port support IE6?

Thank you, Dorothy

    Hello

    I changed the following in your application:

    1 has changed the page template of your target page, page # 2 of "Popup". This would allow you to avoid navigation bar etc in the modal window
    2 past under the theme of the plugin at 4 (you can choose any other - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) * "Custom." I doubt that the 'path of the custom CSS' that you specified is valid (#PLUGIN_PREFIX #plugins/modal-page/server /). I made this change via shared-> component settings components.
    3. in the dynamic action that triggers the plugin in the #1 page, I changed "display width/height" Mode auto.

    Please your test page.

  • Simple questions about interactive Apex reports

    I have not yet made many experiments with interactive reports, and a few weeks ago, I heard a colleague that I should not create them. He told an interactive report in our environment of production - according to him, if a user changes the interactive report (for example, adding or dropping a column), other (s) see the same changes that have been made by the first user, so this interactive report cannot have its columns or content is personalized for each user because each user will need to see its own version of the interactive report.

    Because it is expected that each user can see their own version of interactive reports, it discouraged me to go forward. I need to understand this situation because I'm about to release another interactive report in a new page of the Apex - and overcome this if possible.

    Another question: is it possible to replace Oracle reports with export to PDF - Apex and this would include customized logo, header, trailer, and other features of Oracle reports? Certainly not at 100%, but some of these features, such as reports of matrix - they do? Right now, I put reports in packs of function that returns custom types and activities of logic inside the function that returns a type Apex them simply returns by selecting its data, but this question has crossed my mind because I would like to release the Apex of other software development environment.

    I use version 4.2 of the Apex.

    Hello

    There is an attribute on interactive reports where you can define whether the user can save it s own versions of the report, removing columns or adding filters, but the main report is always the same for all users, just as it has been defined by the developer of.

    On PDF printing, I use Jaspersoft Studio to do. It s free and very useful.  There is a package called jrxml2pdf developed by Andreas Weiden, that allows you to print reports of APEX jaspersoft.

    It may be useful

    Check your application. Added CSS following in Page attributes-> section-> Inline CSS:

    table.formlayout td select {
        margin: 2px 0 7px !important;
        width: 180px !important;
    }

    NOTE:! important is to override the margin css rules and defined already by apex theme css width.

    If you want to apply CSS to multiple items at the same time, there is no need to go to each item put a style attribute in each element. You have the means to apply CSS rules to elements using CSS selectors:

  • How can I use Apex to...

    People of greetings,

    I'm new to Apex, for the most part have done Asp.Net/SQL Server projects in the past. From what I've seen so far it looks like a great tool for entry of simple data fast with robust reporting tools built in.

    We currently have a project almost done dealing with Apex of one aspect of the company, say apples.

    I need to set up a new project for Oranges. They share about all attributes and use the same tables.

    I want to do is use the already existing almost finished project to manage both.

    If it were an ASP.Net project I based my theme and filters off a URL parameter (or something similar) to show the appearance of the data for projects using the same code base.

    This way Apple project users see apples and Oranges end-users see Oranges, but without having to create the entire thing twice, or having to interview code two bases.

    How could I go accomplish a similar task in APEX?

    I confess that I'm still learn the demonstration site, and just started watching the tutorials, so if the answer is there, a link to the area I need to read would be fantastic.

    Any other thoughts or ideas would be welcome.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    By "theme", do you mean as in "skins and themes", you get portals? Apex themes but only can easily be applied to an application - if it is possible, using style sheets, to make it look as if you use more than one.

    Somewhere, you will need to hold a note of which users are 'Apples' and those who are 'orange '. If it is not in the ad or LDAP, then you can create a table user in the workspace to hold this information - this would then form the basis of your authorization scheme.

    Maybe it's reading me things wrong, but it sounds as if the user decides which group they are the only difference would be something in the URL, the user can change themselves?

    No need for JavaScript or dynamic action (but I think that the distinction uppercase / lowercase is the problem with what you have there).

    Set the required total text of report are Label in the report attributes and specify the color to aid online page CSS:

    #emp-586 .uReport tr:last-child td:first-child {
      color: #c00;
    }

  • jQuery UI dialog height: auto

    Hello

    I use Apex 5.0.1 universal theme. I am replacing the standard alert and confirm popups with jQuery dialog. For example, alert, I replaced the alert() with:

    $.extend ({alert: {function (message, title)})

    $("<div></div>").dialog ({}

    Open: function (event, ui) {}

    $(".ui-dialog-titlebar-close").hide ();

    $(".ui-dialog-content").css ("quilting", "1em 1em");

    },

    close: function (event, ui) {$(this) .remove ();};

    Resizable: false,

    Title: title,.

    modal: true,

    height: 'auto '.

    .html (message)});

    }

    });

    It works well, except for one thing: height: 'auto' is ignored. Apex generates a fixed height for the content of the dialog box:

    "" <div id= "ui-id-3" " class="ui-ui-dialogue-contenu-content-widget" style="display: block; width: auto; max-height: none; height: 69px; "min-height: 45px;" >

    I added

    $(".ui-dialog-content").css("height","");

    the function open, but who was simply ignored (run this line of Firebug does remove the height of 69px correctly).

    Suggestions how to force the "height: auto;

    As a solution, I put the cards within a region that I created and this will give you the following result:

    Untitled.jpg

    It's good, but now the problem is I can't shrink when I switch to a smaller screen may

    What I usually do is to add a CSS rule to the card and set the width in %

    Maybe if I create a single chart and I assign a rule that set its width = 100%, I can even make the smallest browser and the chart will resize itself accordingly

    Having 3 cards next does not work and I do not understand why

    What version of APEX, theme and layout grid type do you use? 4.2 with a theme that does not use based on tables of HTML layout (such as the topic (25), labels is not a property of the attributes of HTML table cells .

    You must specify your APEX version in all issues and UI/theme/templates for a page layout or the question of Visual formatting.

    I am able to edit the text inside the element by changing the attributes of the element field Form HTML with the following text style = "verdana fonts: 24pt;

    Create the following style sheet on the page property CSS Inline (4.2) or the property header HTML (previous versions), replace "P1_X" with the name of your article:

    label[for="P1_X"],
    #P1_X {
      font-family: verdana, sans-serif !important;
      font-size: 2em !important;

    If we knew what theme you were using it would be possible to eliminate the! important statements by using a more specific selector for the label.

    There is no #REGION_ATTRIBUTES # in the list of tabbed browsing.

    It would not be. It is not a model of the region.

    The problem is that despite its name (big hint here Oracle), 15 theme List of tabbed browsing model is based on a table of the single line of HTML, not a part of the actual list. All the containers in the list are also tables. HTML tables develop to fit their content, so that they will ignore all attempts to coerce their width using CSS (with the exception where doing so would also hide the content, that is not a viable solution in this case), or they will automatically go to a new line. (I also noticed that when I try to reproduce this on apex.oracle.com the following list looks nothing like "tabs": what you're seeing?)

    You have basically reached the limit of what it is possible to have visible on screen without scrolling using the APEX theme/version/model. You can copy a real model based on a list of another theme (or create one from scratch) so it would be for multiple lines automatically.

    However, it may indicate that it is time for a questioning of your navigation mechanisms. Consider using vertical rather than horizontal lists, or several levels of tabs/lists?
