APIC timer speed measurement inconsistency

Hello.

I try to install ESXi on a Dell PowerEdge R720 5.5 and I receive this stop error message. I found some information online, but not much. Wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I might be able to do to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

I spent the following: when the boot menu comes up to press SHIFT + O to display the boot options. Add "busSpeedMayVary = TRUE" at the end. Just in case someone else has run into this issue.

    Hello team DPS,

    I have 2 questions:

    (1) I have searched but cannot find in what units the "time spent" measured in. I think it's in the years . Please add this to both graphics and mouse-over-discriptions.

    2) also have the folio Total time spent: 17018 units, but for the same period total for all the items of the same folio to addition the: unspecified: one is 14885 units. I understand that clean up statistics 'unspecified' will also correct these Total time spent for the folio number.

    > We will be solve this in our next realease by cleaning the "not specified".

-This means in R30, R29 was just realeased?

    Thank you

    Gennady

    Gennady salvation,

Thanks for the comments, the total time spent is in seconds and it would be included in the release of the phase 2 of R29 coming out in early January.  #2 in will be also fixed in the release of the phase 2 of R29.

  • Want a ramp of output voltage over time and measure input 2 analog USB-6008

    Hello

I want to produce an analog voltage output signal that increases over time with a certain slope, which I'll send in a potentiostat and at the same time I want to read voltage and current (both are represented by a voltage signal) that I want to open a session and ultimately draw from each other. To do this, I have a DAQ USB-6008 system at my disposal.

Creation of the analogue output with a linear ramp signal I was possible using a while loop and a delay time (see attachment). Important here is that I can put the slope of the linear ramp (for example, 10mV/s) and size level to make a smooth inclement. However when I want to measure an analog input signal he's going poorly.

To reduce noise from the influences I want for example to measure 10 values for example within 0.1 second and he averaged (this gives reading should be equal or faster then the wrong caused by the slope and the linear ramp step size.) Example: a slope of 10 mV/s is set with a 10 step size. Each 0.1 s analog output signal amounts to 1 mV. Then I want to read the analog input in this 0.1 s 10 values)

Because I use a timer to create the linear ramp and the analog input is in the same loop, the delay time also affects the analog input and I get an error every time. Separately, in different VI-programs (analog input and output) they work fine but not combined. I searched this forum to find a way to create the ramp in a different way, but because I'm not an experienced labview user I can't find another way.

To book it now a bit more complicated I said I want to measure 2 input analog (one for the voltage of the potentiostat) signals and one for the current (also represented by a voltage signal) and they should be measured more quickly then the bad of the analog signal. I have not yet started with because I couldn't read on channel work.

I hope someone can help me with this problem

An array of index. You want to index the columns for a single channel.

  • NEITHER 9401 + cRIO 9082 speed measurement

    Hello!

I want to measure a signal rotation with the NI9401 and the cRIO 9082. For the test, I use a signal generator and it is connected to the Mod5/DIO0. In the FPGA, I want to measure the rising edges. (see photo) With them, I'd be able to calculate the number of laps. But my code does not work: counties meter up constantly even I have no signal generator connected. What is the problem?

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards

    Hi Franz.

I found no examples in LabVIEW version 2013, but in 2012, you can find them. In general, you can simply download the version as an assessment and get examples. Since I found the examples in a VM youc an discovered the examples attached to this post.

Not to mention that most of the examples are restructuring in the new versions of LabVIEW but general subjects are still there.

  • Loading time to measure and display the page

Is there a way to display the time a page took to generate at the bottom of each page? I realize it will be missing a milliseconds or so that it takes to make the footer, but it would still be a good indicator.

There may be a global variable containing the exact time of the request, and I could only subtract the time to make the footer. I'll search to see what I can find, other ideas?

#TIMING # is only for reports, if I remember.

  • ellapsed time always measure zero in FlashBuilder 4

Here's what I found so far:

I start my application in debug mode.

I then click on a button and load the beg_tck variable:

    beg_tck = Now.getTime ();

    lblResponseTime.text = "response time:" + ((end_tck)) String + "beg_tck:" + String (beg_tck);
    }

For some reason, beg_tck and end_tck are ALWAYS THE SAME.

Why is this happening?  Even if I braked treatment for 3 seconds, the Now.getTime () is put the exact number in beg_tck and end_tck.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Because even now, refers to the same object (the one that is created when your component is initialized). Try the new Date () .getTime ().

  • By train and failing to carry out measures of speed

Can someone explain to me how the linear speed CI module is supposed to work?  I tried with no successt for a while to use it to take measures to speed by using a meter.  I use a card NI 9411 digital input to accept a signal from a radar system which shows a maximum speed measured as a frequency (which is just working at a rising every 0.176 inches moved).

Whenever I run VI I get an error in the module create channel which is as follows:

    Code:-200431

Source: DAQmx create channel (CI-linear velocity) .vi:2530001

That, on a subject similar, is there any where a document that lists the module chassis DAQ and DAQmx measurement compatibility?  Because I do not find that documented anywhere it's obvious...

Well so be it... I finally found a document that lists the compatibility of type of measure and appearently the only module able to do using the virtual channel of speed measurement is the 9361 OR...

  • A measure of speed high speed with encoder in quadrature and NI 9401 on cDaq

    Greetings,

We use an encoder in quadrature with 360 pulses/turn on the tracks (track A and B) and no trace of Z to measure motor speed at startup. Data acquisition, we use a NI 9401 in 9178 cDaq chassis and a pc with LabVIEW. The problem is that the start-up period is relatively short (less than 1 second), during which we measure speed as precisely as possible. The speed range is from 0 to 10000 RPM.

What type of measurement method that you would recommend.

Here are a few methods that we have already tried:

-Measure with DAQmx CIFreq--> high frequency with 2 counters: speed measurement, but with a very big mistake (+ 166 RPM).

-CIFreq DAQmx--> wide range with 2 counters: good speed data but more slow measurement,

-CICntEdges DAQmx (counting separated the two lanes, speed conversion): very incoherent speed data.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Matej

I would definitely say a 4, the measure of a low freq called option with 1 meter.  (Frankly, I've never been

fond of this name because it is useful for freqs much higher than what I expect most people think "low freq".)   This

is the method that I almost * always * use for frequency of counter measures.  It works really well to capture transitional

    variations in speed.

10000 rpm and 360 cycles/rev, you are looking at a maximum frequency of 60 kHz.  The frequency measurement mode 1 meter

There will be 80 MHz internal clock by encoder cycle edges, then you will get more than 1000 strokes per measure.  The point

that means only 1 number of quantization errors, you can expect<>

Further, you can average overall, say, 10 samples to you give even better accuracy and you could still be a data capture

rate significantly higher than the probable bandwidth of your mechanical system.  (The average would just clean the jitter and noise and would not

    Hide answer true mechanical characteristics).

  • My Satellite A100 GPU fan works 100% all the time

First: I have the Satellite A100-440 with GeForce Go 7300 and XP Professional (and Ubuntu).

There is something wrong with thermal control. The first PC Wizard has always shown that the temperature of my GPU is "a very large number" and the fan is runnign 100% all the time (the main problem). Then I installed ATItool hoping he would show the temperature correctly. Well, it worked in part. Now when I check the temperature with PC Wizard, it indicates the temperature of the GPU normally (like 30-40 degrees celsius), but it also shows the GPU Diode temperature it's "a very large number" (as 4.294967E + 09 C) and the fan will operate at 100%.

I tried to control fans with RivaTuner, but nothing happens.

So if anyone has an idea how I could continue to solve the problem, I would be very grateful. I don't know if the problem is with the hardware (I could take this service) or with the software...

    Thank you!

    Hello

Why are you talking about 'problem' and 'solve this problem?
    I see no problem!
First of all I'm not all 3rd party applications that monitor temperatures. I'm not 100% sure if these applications provide a good values.

However, as far as I know the laptop was shipped with Vista and not XP and Linux. You do not use a factory settings. It seems that you have set up the laptop with new applications and you should know that all the software installed and running insists on the CPU and other parts.

BIOS fan table supports different temperature and cooling of the speed measurements. This means that if the temperature rises to a higher level, the cooling module starts and tries to decreases the internal temperature.

Usually the temperature depends on the use of the laptop. If several processes of the OS are running in the background, that the CPU performance are high, the temperature rises and the fans start to run. There is nothing unusual about it.

Furthermore, the dust and debris inside the laptop might have a bad influence on the laptop cooling. From time to time, it is advisable to clean the cooling modules.

Last but not least the laptop must be placed free on table to ensure the circulation of air correctly. Don't forget that there is enough free space around the laptop.

Finally, I must say that one of my friends has an A100 and the fans run correctly.
This means that the cooling modules works with maximum performance while playing games or using graphics software.
However fans do not work with maximum performance using only common programs like IE software or office.

    Good bye

  • FPGA: unable to update the timer on fpga through host.

    Hi all

I worked on FPGA project. It has several loops paralel and works with some sampling time.

I would like to change the "timing" on a single loop, it is called loop output. I would like to slow down the loop so that the loop will update the output less frequently. (see attachment - red circle)

I modified the code by changing the timer by the host. (see attachment - blue circle).

I did several things such as:

    1. Add a manual switch that allows me to change the time of sampling mode normal (same time of polling with other loops) in manual mode (set the timer number).

But it did not work all the time. I checked the value on the host, it is always on the same sampling time, even I write the value of the timer to measure.

    2. I changed the strategy by putting the other control connected directly to the timer (without switch) in the loop so that I can change the value directly. However, there is still no luck. The result is not reliable. It sometimes slows down and many are in the same pace as before.

    3. I even put a case in front of the exit structure so it was only updated after sometimes (all 100 or more loops). It is not always useful. I see the speed varies, but it is not as expected.

The material is piezo readers/engine. But I want to slow down the speed, does not increase the speed. Thus, it should not be a problem.

I really appreciate if there are any comments or suggestions.

    Kind regards

    Areku

    Hi all

After consulting with my supervisor, he advised me to spend on intermediate or new control value first. Then, update the value of the control that is connected to the timer loop with this intermediate control value. It will update the value of the timer loop after loop (when intermediary value received from the host and update control connected to the timer loop). It works fine now.

I don't know exactly the mechanism labview of drafting or updating the fpga through host value. But, it seems to me, in my case, there was a problem of writing a value to the control that is connected to the loop timer where ran in relatively fast. Well, little control ignore/reject the new value because it is busy to execute the loop in high speed.

Thanks again for the response to my post, GerdW.

  • ReadyBoost Windows 7 Pro 64 bit works only not with the reader flash 32 GB USB high speed...

    Hello

I did what I could find in support.microsoft.com search/read them all using ReadyBoost on my Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit, because he seemed much more cost-effective to install a properly sized USB key from the bombings of hundreds of dollars to replace and modernize the planks of installed RAM, I, 4x2Gb @ 1066

    My basic material is:

    Intel i7 920 CPU using Gigabyte EX58 - UD3R-MOBO with 8 GB of RAM installed 1066.

According to the info I've read ReadyBoost, the ratio is 4:1 for the size of the Flash drive compared to installed RAM or, in my case, a 32 GB USB device.

I had the OCZ Rally2 32 GB because it tested faster about 30 GB Read and 5 to 10 MB write.

When I go to activate the USB 32 GB for ReadyBoost flash drive, I get the "impossible... to use this device to ReadyBoost...". "error message.

    TWO QUESTIONS:

1 knowing that my USB 32 GB current is at a speed of 31 GB read/6-10 MB write and can be replaced if necessary:

    a. y at - it a necessary range of recommended read/write speed?

    2. further, saying: the range of tested USB disk read/write speed are correct or I will get a correct drive 32 GB and with 8 GB of RAM currently installed.

b is it? or what is the advantage in any computer processing speed using a 32 Gb USB flash drive when it is 8 GB of RAM installed (knowing that a replacement/upgrade RAM is off-budget for the foreseeable future)?

Finally, I pass first OCZ support but received no conclusive answers.

    1st answer to yesterday 20:11

Win7 is limited to 32 GB size by device for ReadyBoost. I've seen this problem before when the USB key is at the maximum limit. Never seen a work around so.

AND, more interesting for me, 2nd answer:

Few people I know with this problem that I've never heard of a solution. I don't know anyone who devoted a lot of effort as with 8 GB of memory system is not a necessity for ReadyBoost so they just moved.

NOTE: The support guess I are underutilizing the 8 GB of RAM installed. In fact, due to the needs work I will typically have anywhere for applications and utilities operating at 20-35 someone time, using 4-6 GB of RAM at peak use.
    Ideas?  Suggestions?
    Thank you.
    John

    Hi John,.

A flash drive may appear to meet the requirements, but Windows may detects it not as compatible ReadyBoost if its rated speed measures sequential and random performance and performance is not always quick on the set of the flash player.

Look for a note from the manufacturer that the flash player is Compatible Windows ReadyBoost. Not all manufacturers of this list on their packaging.

You can check with another flash drive

    Answering your questions

    a. speed for Windows ReadyBoost requirements are at least 2.5 MB per second throughput for random readings of 4 kilobytes (KB) and 1.75 MB per second throughput for 512 k random entries.

Using memory in your storage device to speed up your computer

    (Article is for Windows 7)

    b. ReadyBoost acts as a cache of HARD disc (hard drive) and is not a replacement for direct system memory. It will not improve processing speed, but will help the launch of faster applications and push background applications that serve much in memory reserved ReadyBoost.

  • SG-300 GAL speed

    Dear forumers,

I am setting up two SG - 300 switches at the present time, and I'm trying to connect them with two cables.

I set up the LAG like this (on two switches):

    LAG001.jpg

    And got the following result:

    LAG002.jpg

This means that my connection is only 1 Gbps, or everything is OK, I'm 2 Gbps?

For the moment, I can't preform a test with several computers at the same time copy and check the total speed. How can I make sure that the speed of the LAG is greater than 1 Gbps?

    Best regards

    Adam Raksi

    Hi Adam,.

It isn't really a particular way to measure there are software tools that can measure traffic as IPERF.

The LAG works in a way he'll negotiate link speed. Each physical port must not exceed 1 g, it will display 1 g. However, as you already know, the OFFSET is joining several physical ports to a port group that is "combine" ports to increase the speed by using a load balancing algorithm.

Many times physically measure a flow LAG is very difficult because the file transfer must be really big to reach the potential of port group.

  • Apple Watch do not measure rest

    Hi all

I had a watch for a few weeks now and somehow, rest time is measured not at all.

Here are the screenshots of the application of the activity and the app shows.

Has anyone had the same problem and fixed it?

So watch phone has been restarted and not matched/paired again.

    Hello

Try these steps, which have solved the same problem for some other users:

    • On your iPhone in the app shows, go to: Watch My > General > detection of wrist - make sure it's open.
    • If the access code is enabled, make sure that you unlock your watch every day after the place on your wrist.
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > privacy > Motion & Fitness - Fitness Tracking off turn (or, if it is currently disabled).
    • Restart both devices in two turn off together, and then restart your iPhone first:
      • To turn off your iPhone: press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears. slide it to turn off. To restart, press and hold the sleep/wake button.
      • To turn off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off. To reactivate: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
    • If you disabled fitness in step 3, now go back to the configuration and turn it back on.
