  Here's the thing with this TV...

  The TV has 4 video modes: Normal/wide/Zoom/cinema. None of them does correct the overscan.

  TV has a way of 'video art' which has an option for overscan, but is available only when using VGA as input, with a signal as well as the definition does not have HDMI inputs.

  I can't configure my TV to be full screen with this 4th gen Apple TV. Very disappointed. My 3rd generation works fine, full-screen on my Sharp Aquos 1080pHD.

  I've just updated to Sierra, and I can't use the airplay feature. Icon is still in place, I tried to mirror the screen and the Office expanded. iMac connects to Apple Tv, the icon turns blue, but nothing appears on television. It works perfectly with my iPhone. So, my guess is that Sierra is at fault.

• Apple 4th TV showing a larger image that will not fit my TV.

  It seems like I'm losing part of the image produced by the ATV. When I go into the settings, I don't see the maximum area showed on the screen. Apple suggests that I have to do the configuration on my TV, but my TV is an old LG TV, model 47LY3RF and has the option of 16:9, 4:3, zoom 1/2, option 1:1 is not accessible.   This is due to "Overscan". Unless your TV has an option to change the zoom, you're out of luck.

  I'm in the same boat and think that Apple could fix this with a parameter of Apple TV. I have a zoom setting with my old LG TV but it only zooms to 100% no less.

  To be quite honest, arguably isn't really matter of Apple. There are safety standard for video production areas, if the developers of applications actually apply these standards you will probably notice even the overscan at all.

  I understand that you are unable to AirPlay from your Mac to your Apple TV.  Here are some troubleshooting steps that I recommend to go through this problem.

  Get help

• I changed my Apple ID to my new married name, but somewhere it is still hanging on to my old details
