  (2) check that the paid and free version have the same signature

  I just wanted to know all that it is possible and it works. I tested this weekend and you can see other packages and are able to recover their signatures. Using this, you can implement an application of the 'license key' which is used to unlock additional features in the free version of your application.

  The only downside is that, unlike Android, Playbook ports require applications (android applications brought at least?) to be accessible. Unfortunately, this means that the user can accidentally launching your application for license key that does nothing except sitting there.
