OK, so I had to update my computer and tried to re - install drivers got the nvidia card to cross but now I can't access the store to complete the update to the rest of them.  Started going on the rest of the applications as well to make sure they were operable as well, they were not.  They could not synchronize outlook or I could access the Skype nor rest because of a network error.  So I tried the memory network troubleshooting and etc.  But nothing helps, I even tried a few links on this Web site trouble shoot and possibly correct the error but no results what are my options.

  • Applications and programs crash when open file Explorer

    My programs and applications are blocking as soon as I open Explorer file (I use windows 8).  For example, when I go to attach a file to an e-mail, the Web browser crashes.  Also, when I go on ' Save as ' in microsoft office, word/excel crashes too.

    So far, I have:

    -Updated and rebooted

    -virus research (clear)

    -Startup in safe mode - safe mode will not allow not even me open microsoft word, and the problem persists when you use gmail via google chrome

    -re-installed office - no change

    What could I do next?  The computer was perfect up to this problem that began a couple of weeks.

    1. You did changes to the computer before this problem?
    2. You get an error message when the applications or programs crash?

    The question could arise due to corruption in specific applications or due to file system corruption directly affecting the launch programs. In order to diagnose and resolve the issue, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

    Run the Troubleshooter of Apps and check if that helps.

    The Apps store is an automated tool that we have developed to deal with a number of known issues that may prevent applications from running correctly. This troubleshooting automatically solves some issues including the suboptimal screen resolution, incorrect security or account etc. settings. If the problem persists, refer to the remaining steps in the help article and check.

    Solve problems with a soft

    If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

    Try to run a scan of the file system (CFS) auditor to check corruption of system files in the system. SFC scan will search for system files corrupted on the computer and fix them.

    1. Press the Windows key + X, click prompt (Admin).
    2. In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

  • I have a problem with the applications and programs on Windows 8.

    This isn't exactly a "I can NOT LIVE WITHOUT CE SUPPORTS REALLY" but anyway. Since graduating from the programs Windows 8 and I use installed, I ran into a problem. Programs install fine however, sometimes, I find that I try to open the application program / and when I do it is open, but I cannot view it (when clicked) when this happens, I cannot view the content of the programmes, but it is active in the windows taskbar.

    I rebooted, used the Manager of tasks etc... but the program will remain open, but look at one is impossible.

    EDIT: THESE PROGRAMS ARE NOT TO DO WITH THE SHOP 8 MICROSOFT WIN THAT IT IS APPS SUCH AS CHROME/SPOTIFY

    The only soloution I found was to uninstall/reinstall, but I think it's a pain if my Chrome/IE9 was not accessible, I'd be well: limited

    In any case if you could look at this problem and suggest me some links/soloutions.

    You could try to set the compatibility mode of the .exe file to an earlier version in which they worked.

    Right-click on the shortcut and select 'Open file location' then right click on the file and select "properties, then click the tab compatibility.

    You can also try to "Run as Administrator near the bottom of the window.

    Another option would be to click with the right button on the .exe and select troubleshoot compatibility.

    After installing some games on my pc I started having problems with the eventviewer its been disabled. The DVD drive cannot be detected by the computer. Please help me as I'm about to perform a system recovery, but I need to know what causes this mulfunction.     If the DVD drive is not detected, you won't be able to reinstall from a disk operating system or manufacturer's recovery disks. You need to check and see if the drive is seen by the system BIOS.   • Small text size in the PC Applications and programs

    I'm having some trouble trying to read the TEXT in some of my PC applications. It does not happen in all the and can have a mix of large and small TEXT in a box (I've included a screenshot of my desktop to show an example).

    I tried to fix this with the methods are: -.

    Looking at the screenshot, the box " ""Taskbar and Start Menu Properties"" " you can see the text is fine to read! Below, right-click on the desktop, the box that opens is reading too! "Right out of the box beside it, the ' system properties ' is almost impossible to read without having to screen! Above this area is the "ASUS AI SUITE", you can see the text is small and the numbers are too. I can read about the column titles, but can not read temperatures, the rpm or tensions. Finally is the box ' PC PROBE II ', once again, a mixture of small and large text.

    For the life of me, I don't understand why it started to happen, or when it started. I have not installed, changed or deleted something for awhile also.

    OK, so after the abundance of aid, I using this community (sigh) I found a solution that seems to have worked, but still does not work for everyone! I didn't particularly want to, but ended up doing a system restore to an earlier date. This has created a new problem for me but my anti virus has stopped working and didn't so Firefox. They wouldn't work at all! So had to reinstall.

    For those of you who land on this page with the same or similar problem, I found some info that may be useful, or maybe not! I will include links to pages that may help to explain how to check the weather or not the problem of the small and large text in dialog boxes are caused by changes in the registry... not on your browser, but on your PC.

  • Menu Application in BB Desktop Software blackBerry Smartphones shows no components of system 7 OS and programs, only manually installed applications

    9360 to 9720 switching has been a problem as my favorite BB apps that are part of the 7 OS like password keeper are completely absent on BB9720 after migration.

    Some forums are suggesting to use the menu of the Application of BB Desktop Software to install/uninstall applications and components of the system. This does not solve my problem, only applications installed manually, are indicated in the Application menu.

    Therefore cannot install or remove components of the system or programs like password keeper.

    Old and new BBs were running latest OS.

    Appreciate any suggestions that would help me with my mysery.

    Sometimes the Desktop software cannot automatically find the necessary operating system... software and need 'help' along. The sub process should allow you to do.

    The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    Now, if you have installed on your PC the exact same OS version you are running on your device, you should have all the available elements is displayed in the desktop software. However, if you have installed a different version of the operating system that is running on your device on your computer, the result will be probably an offer to change your device installed OS that you have installed on your PC... If this is the case, proceed with caution and be sure to first have a backup complete.

    If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    I would like to change the HARD drive of my laptop to one with more capacity. Is there a way for me to transfer all my current content to the new the old HARD drive without having to re - install all programs / operating system?

    Well, the simplest would be a backup image.

    I m using a 3rd party software. It s a Norton Ghost.
    This tool allows you to create an image of you HARD drive or simple partitions.
    I created an image file and stored on the external HARD drive.

    Then, I installed the new OS on the laptop, installed Norton Ghost and used the external HARD disk image file to restore all the files and programs again.

    But you don't need t to use the ghost there are many other applications to create an own google simple image

    I am currently using LabVIEW 2009 and my company is upgrading to 2010, and I had a few questions on creating applications and their execution on other computers to open the switch.

    (1) computers that don't have that installed LabVIEW 2010 runtime will be able to run applications developed with LabVIEW 2009 (and earlier versions)?

    1.1) in the contrary case, we will have to rebuild all of our current programs to use the RTE of 2010?

    (2) Conversely, exes, built in 2010 will be able to run on computers that have the installed 2009 RTE?

    (2.1) if not, is there an easy way to downconvert programs written in 2010 so that they run on RTE in 2009?

    Applications created in 2009 should the TENS of 2009.  Similarly, applications created in 2010 must RTE of 2010.

    You can install both engines to run on the PC at the same time.  Your .exe will use it is appropriate based on what version it was built in.

  • Cannot run a few rare games and programs, error: Windows Explorer crashes

    I am running windows xp sp3. My explore blocks every minute. The hook of the office and taskbar, but the programs that run on top continues to operate smoothly and even I can work with them.     If I were you, I would uninstall the problematic Windows Desktop Search (you can always reinstall it later), reboot and see how things work.

    Since it is not supposed to fix a system that may be achieved malicious software, I would then scan your system for malware:

    Download, install, update and do a quick scan with these free malware detection programs (not at the same time):

    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

    SAS will probably be a lot that you can just let it remove tracking cookies.

    They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

    The scans by operating clean, restart and see how things work.

    Here's how to solve the Explorer Shell Extensions of (these are generic, but still good instructions for troubleshooting):

    When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.

    ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

    After launch ShellExView (shexview.exe double click) and acknowledge the security warning, adjust the column widths you see everything
    clearly.  Under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be in pink, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move Microsoft column closer to the top (Mount), so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

    Click on the header of column called Microsoft to sort display (by clicking on the column heading in Microsoft) then all the non Microsoft extensions are at the top and easy to see.  They will say 'No' since they are not Microsoft extensions.

    Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

    You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the mistakes of the DEP and what other people have done about it.

    You can Google something like:

    Explorer XP crashing

    You must complete your suspect on behalf of adds on.

    See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

    I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

    Right click and disable the non Microsoft extensions one at a time (or maybe in groups of 3-5), keep a list, so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.  If the Explorer starts to act normally, you'll know that some extension you just disabled in this group of 3-5 is the culprit, then you can start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.

    If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

    Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled.  You can always enable it later, so keep track of things by writing them down.

    Disable them one at a time or in small groups (to make things go faster) until your right click does not generate an error, and then restart and try again.  You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.

    You can also disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart, test your fault condition and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the failure condition.

    If you have a large number of extensions, you can disable them is small groups, 3-5 at a time instead of 1 at a time until your system starts to behave.  When it does not, you will know that the problem is one of the extensions of this small group and you can enable members of the Group at a time until the problem returns, then the problem is with the last extension that you enabled.

    The hope is that you will find extensions that is causing the problem and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.

    I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you think that you have found the problem, I reboot and repeat the test in any case to be sure the problem disappeared.

    If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.

    If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

    Looks like you did a system rather than a system restore recovery.  If you have inserted a disc supplied with your machine and booted from it, you probably erased the disc and installed the original operating system provided with your computer.  Usually, a step in this recovery is to do a full format or quick of your drive.  If you did a full format, your data is permanently lost.  With a quick format, your data may still be there, somewhere but inaccessible by normal means.  Applications must generally be installed, in order to recover the files probably will not help unless you have the original installation media.  Your other data files (images, videos, financial data) may be salvageable, but at this point, it would be advisable to take your computer or your disk to a business/professional who is experienced with data disc recovery.  It will be cheap and there is no guarantee.

    Impatient, remember investigate you a backup strategy for your computer and critical data.  Hard drives can go wrong with little or no warning.

    I would like to know what is the difference between Program files (x 86) and program files folders, they are both necessary for the functioning of the system and do they have anything to do with the operation of 32 and 64-bit Vista?

    These files both contain some but not all of the same files, why is it so?.

    Program files (x 86) provides you with the location for 32-bit software, and the Program folder files is that of your 64-bit software. Because Windows Vista can run 32-bit applications using the wow64 emulator, it's a good design decision to separate the location of programs with different architecture types.
