AppName-debugging features in Simulator

I did a search on the forums, but couldn't really find anything, so I was wondering if someone else using Burrito has faced this problem.

Basically, I give my app a name in the - app.xml file, but when I run the Simulator name appears under the name of my app-debug. So I named my Pocket of culinary photography application, but it shows like Pocket Food Photography-debug. Is it possible to remove the part of the name debugging? When I submit my app I don't want to tell him to debug at the end.

It's my second application but one I created and presented has been done in Flash Builder 4 and I have not encounter this problem.

Hi alex,

No problem! and no, you don't have to sign in order to remove the - debug extension. It will be deleted as long as you do the project > export Release Build treat, even if you don't sign it.

  • How to debug in a Simulator?

I try to debug my app in the simulator of rogers-8900 but don't know how to do it. Here's what I do.

    1. construction of my application in 4.2.1 jde and the Uploader in a hyperlink.

    2. download my app in the Simulator mentioned.

3 attach the debugger 4.6 Simulator as the 8900 Simulator works the 4.6 o/s.

It's all good. I can see the printing instructions, but I can't break at certain points in the code. I don't know how to do this. Any help will be appreciated here.

    Thanks in advance.

    8900 standard Simulator works 4.6.1.

Since you are doing this for the 4.6.1 peripheral, then download and install JDE 4.6.1.  Then it runs the 8900 Curve default Simulator and you can save loads of effort in just compile and run then, just like you can do with the 8800 device to the 4.2.1 JDE.

  • My 'deliverables' folder contains many files "appName.debug", do I remove these?

I just can't remember seeing these before here, peux I just delete them?

The debug files are used when you make on the device or the debugging of Simulator.  They are not required in any other tha circumstances that I'm aware off the coast.

  • debugging problems of Simulator 9100

    I join a simulator course, 9100, Eclipse api 1.1, 5.0.

I'm getting something I can set breakpoints, but it's in a weird State.

When the debugger is endearing, it says it can't find the rim cldc and modules of system operating with debug info.

When I look in the directory of Simulator, they are, under the Debug dir, here:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Research in Motion\BlackBerry Smartphone simulators (9100)\Debug\net_rim_cldc-1.debug 5.0.0\5.0.0.676

(and the largest number of files).

So when my application appear in the debugger, I can see local variables, but not in

the battery, in one of the api.

The app is not properly, but I can't debug without resolving it.

I don't have this problem when I join other simulators.

    What could be wrong?

    Thank you

    lucidbee.

I think it was a problem of process.

After downloading a new Simulator, I have to quit and restart Eclipse.

Then I can select the Simulator in debugging or running again and this

    problem goes away.

  • Debug using iOS Simulator (cvm.properties file missing)

    Hello

I'm trying to debug your sample of JavaDemo. I already have the deploy in an iOS Simulator and I have done the job. But now I'm changing a little more sample and I would like my debugging code.

I followed the instructions of Testing and Debugging ADF Mobile Applications - 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.3.0)

Can't get to step 3 to specify the debug cvm.properties file settings. Without this clarification, I can't debug my app.

Where is this file or how it create?

    Thank you for your attention,

    Kind regards

    Will be.

  • Debugging on Playbook Simulator

    Hello

I use the last PlayBook Simulator (for Mac), VMWare Fusion 4.1, 3.7, Java 1.6 Eclipse, latest BlackBerry Plugins for Android development in Eclipse and all on OS X Lion 10.7.3.

Now: whenever I try to launch my application on the Simulator, Eclipse shows me:

    [Problem Occured]
'Launching MyAPP' has encountered a problem.
    null

Anyone have an idea on how to solve this problem or at least where to get more information?

    ~ Chris

OK, the problem was: Eclipse was running under Java 1.6, although the system "by default" JRE was 1.7.

To change the default JRE on a Mac, open the 'Java preferences' (for example via spotlight).

  • Cannot debug/run app in the Simulator from IDE update

I did the error has earlier to upgrade my momentics IDE to 2.1, and since I'm unable to successfully launch my app to the market or debugging in a simulator. The application loaded on the Simulator and I can run from the home screen by pressing on it, but while the splash screen is displayed, the application stops immediately when launched from the IDE. There is no error message displayed in the console, the application stops just immediately after the splash screen is displayed.

I tried with five simulators which worked very well all the way from 1.0.x to 10.3.x. I am lucky to have an old copy of the 10.1.0 IDE still on my system and I can run and debug my app very well using this one, but I would really be able to use the IDE to 2.1 again. It worked fine on the 2.0 IDE too, these problems just started to happen after the 2.1 IDE update.

Has anyone else seen this, and if so, have you found a solution?

OK, never mind. I accidentally upgraded my old working version of the IDE too all by improving the SDK (I forgot that it updates too the IDE) and panicked because then it would be not too run or debug from the IDE. I solved it but by uninstalling the TWO versions of the IDE, then put it back up from scratch. After the clean install, everything is fine and I can run and debug fine with 2.1 IDE.

I guess it's something messed up with the upgrade process. A fixed.

  • Debug vs version relies on Simulator

I am writing an app of Cascades/C++ native BB10 using the Momentics IDE on Mac OSX 2.0.

I would like to have a "Debug" version which includes additional code to check the internal inconsistencies and additional test functions (which will make the app run slow) and a "release" without any additional code (so it will run faster and be smaller and not to let users do things that they are not intended to do).

I think I can use the QT_NO_DEBUG macro to toggle additional code.  Am that I on the right track here?  Is this the "path BB10"?

I chose "run Release' instead of 'Run' in the IDE, clean and build, but I don't see - DQT_NO_DEBUG in commands in the Console window she built.  When it runs on the Simulator, I get no qDebug() results in the Console window, so something must be different.  I added a SystemDialog to tell me if QT_NO_DEBUG is enabled or not, and it is always disabled.  I have not yet tried on a real device.  I need to work on the Simulator, but also a real device.

While browsing the Momentics IDE 2.0, I see references to "Device-Debug", "Device-Release', 'Device-Profile',"Simulator-Debug"but not"Simulator Release.  Why not?

(I get this list by right-clicking on my project in the Project Explorer tab, build some Configurations/manage... which shows a "Manage the Configurations" dialog box with these listed configurations.)

I have created a new configuration called "Simulator Release" copying "Simulator-Debug" and makes it the active configuration, but I don't see how to edit to add - DQT_NO_DEBUG and change the optimization levels, etc.

When I right click on my project in the Project Explorer, run as / Run Configurations...  I get a dialog box that allows me to select a target (named as: MyApp run_release sim_10_2_1_3175), where I can change the Configuration to build my new Simulator-Release, but then the field to "binary:"running on empty, and won't let me change it. "

I also see references to a record like 'x 86/o-g' (which I think is where he puts the debug version), and also a folder called "x 86/o" (which is where I assume she would have a Release version).  I guess correctly here?  Why do we have references to the ' 86/o x' without configuration generate to here?

I hope that this kind of thing would be a little easier, or even built-in when I created at the origin of the project, but I've been googling and try things for half a day with no luck.

Can you tell me some examples step by step how to do what I'm doing?  I have used many IDEs and other construction systems in my day, but I'm pretty new to Momentics/Eclipse.

    Thank you for any input,

    Ed Federmeyer

    Follow up more!

Duh!  I realized all of a sudden!

Rather than include mk/cs - base.mk Makefile for my project, I can COPY cs - base.mk in a local version in my project (cs-base - custom.mk for example) folder, WHICH include and put my additional targets in there, without the need to override the 'clean' target, which means no makefile warning more!

    Happy, happy days!

  • Impossible to debug as - > Blackberry in Eclipse Simulator

    Hello

I've implemented an application for some time using Eclipse 3.5 and Blackberry plugin version 1.1.2 without a lot of questions, but recently, I was stuck on this one:

Whenever I try to "Debug slot-> Blackberry Simulator ', Eclipse crashes at 31% saying"delegate launch. " This leaves me in a bad spot for my application debugging. However, I only peut 'run as-> Blackberry Simulator '.

I tried the new configurations debug with different simulators. I tried to re-intsalling the eclipse + blackberry plugin. I'm still stuck with the same question.

Can anyone share ideas they might have on it, or suggest how I could resolve this more?

    Thank you

    Jon

Apparently, it had something to do with the BBDevMgr process running. When I killed this process in windows Task Manager, Eclipse was able to start the Simulator in debug mode. All good now!

  • How do I debug my application using BlackBerry device instead of Simulator

    Hi all

Currently, developing an application and tests normally this application using Simulator by right-clicking the application and select Debug as blackberry Simulator, now I want to test the app using device, I plugged the unit using the USB port to my windows pc and when I click with the right button on the application and select Debug as blackberry device it does not work? How can I test my application using device someone give me idea

    1. Connect the BlackBerry device to your computer via a USB cable.
    2. Open the BlackBerry Device Manager.
    3. Install the application on the BlackBerry smartphone.
    4. In Eclipse, the menu run, click Debug Configurations.
    5. Right click on the BlackBerry smartphone, and then click New.
    6. In the name field, type a name.
    7. Click the BlackBerry device.
    8. In the BlackBerry device configuration section, do one of the following actions:
      • Select attach to everything connected to any device BlackBerry is connected.
      • Select attach to the specific device. Select a device of BlackBerry to attach it to the BlackBerry device drop-down list.
    9. Click on debug.
  • Debugging on the issue of the device!

Beginner again. My Java application with my new Plugin Eclipse 1.5.2 on win7/64 and loving debug so far and I have used a simulator 9330. I've implemented a new program feature that works fine on the Simulator, but when I Pack the app and deploy on a device 9330, it explodes with an error "index out of range". In order just to shoot this, I just use the option "Debug/Blackberry Device" and set breakpoints in the code of my program. This allows me to pass her and is very well. I found that the problem is on my side of the fence (code/design) but when I'm debugging on the device itself I do not see the values of the objects/properties, I get "

" when I try to INSPECT an object.property.

The big question: is it possible to debug on a device and see all the object.property values that scroll us? If yes how?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, it is possible but requires the files for your device BlackBerry OS .debug.  When you have started debugging you should have been prompted to download files of debugging.  Did you say yes to that?  If yes then automatically download the required files.  If you click on no, you will not be able to use debugging features.

  • How to enable debugging in Eclipse?

    Hello

I'm currently developing the eclipse + component 4.5 BB, you have the problem when going through the debug mode.

When I run 'debug', I saw a lot of message in the window of the console and BB Simulator also lights up, but I can not use those debug command, such as intervention,... etc, they are disabled.

My helloworld can run on this Simulator.

In my view, is not a turn on the debug feature, but have no idea to get it resolved.

    Appreciate any advice.

Thanks, I got it resolved by reinstalling everything.

  • Simulation freezes Multisim

    Hi all

I played a bit with multisim for a few years now, but later began to really use the features of simulation of the program.  I noticed that transient analysis of the very basic circuits seem to work fine, but nothing more than (especially those using pwm controls) after bogged down as some ridiculously short period of time.  Also, before it freezes, things as the output of the oscilloscope function very slowly.  I have attached my circuit for reference and using all that you wonderful people out there.  What I am doing wrong?

The wizard of error correction is not really take care of the problem.

FYI, this is a converter circuit high power for which I would like to study the out performance characteristics by changing the frequency of the triangular wave or setting of the amplitude of the sine wave from 0 to 1. The goal is to produce a sinusoidal current output to the primary of the transformer.  The resistance of inductance and conductor of leakage have been modelled, as well as an inductive load on the secondary of the transformer.

    Thank you!

Yes, I tried for a few days and all the other typical timestep of bugs and it does not always work. The solution was to replace the igbt with the command switches in idealized voltage and barrier diodes schottky antiparallel... and on the ground of the transformer floating seconday. It works now

  • Deployment on a simulator of Momentics fails

I get error when I try to launch the project of Momentics Simulator. Momentics is connected to the Simulator and Simulator works fine but when I run/debug Momentics project it gives me error. Screenshot is attached that explains the error. I have the latest version of Simulator BB10 10.2.1.3175

    Found the solution!

After a while, I can see is that this error comes when you have deployed on Simulator app but delete you the app and then try to run/debug.

If you see the screenshot the error comes after "launch xyzpackage name. I decided to explore the different configuration files to find the solution. In the bar - descriptor.xml, there is a variable "buildId (view the source)" or "Package Build ID (in the general tab view). Whenever you remove the Simulator app, want to run/debug/deploy new Simulator to change this value and make it different from the previous. Its just a number, so the best technique is to continue to increase.

Screenshots are also marking the variable to change
