    Hello everyone;

I don't know if anyone can us sat down with this, but Arabic fonts on 10.3 are so bad. It was perfect with the old version 10.2 and 10.2.1. The fronts text looks old Android fronts. Is there a way to change this on look and feel like the old 10.2 10.3?

    Hey James,.

    Thank you for your comments.

I took these concerns to our development team and hope that there will be a change in the Arabic text in future versions of our software. I do not speak or write in Arabic, but can appreciate your concerns.

  • How to add numbers like these on the text and images Indesign

Hi, I would like to know how this is possible (to add numbers with the black circle to refer to an image on the text), when I copy paste I get the number I guess it's a kind of ascii?

    Thank you

    img.png

There are some fonts with numbers, but they have a limit on numbers.

    I would create

    1. Paragraph with your desired font, size, and white color style.
    2. Create an object with fill blach and in paragraph style select step 1 created a style.
    3. Draw a circular text frame, apply the style of the object and write the number in there.
    4. Copy the circle and then insert the tool in the desired location and paste it into the text.
    5. Lift the text by clicking the ESC key, paste it on the image.
    6. Adjust the vertical position of the text through a style of object > anchored the parameters of the framework.
  • Color transparent graphic text and 'print' InDesign PDF files on-screen display

    Hello, all!

I'm new here and am with color in InDesign CS3.  The two parts of the problem, explains the pasting attached screenshots: put a graph under type prevents me from having purple type I want – and when I make a PDF of the InDesign document, all the purple right (even the stuff with no graphics) below is converted into the evil purple.  (Ignore the statement on zoom factors, is the reason for a friend.)  It seems almost unbelievable that there is no way to avoid this problem, but my search for the solution were in vain so far.  (I'm certainly novice in some aspects of InDesign).

    Public 2012-08-15 c1530EDT.png

Although I can eventually print the document on paper size, with just an inkjet printer, I am not quite so be concerned about color here.  Just having good purple the on-screen display of a PDF document would be quite an improvement over the current dam.

Thanks to all those that can help you: you probably know I have these things here.

If the destination of your document isn't just an offset press defined your fusion of transparency in RGB space. The purple you are specing is not in the range of CMYK colors.

  • Can I use/font of Arabic text in Illustrator (CC19)

I have a client who needs an Arabic text, and even if I download a font he recommended and he is Arabic, I can't use them to be ok...

Y at - it a trick to turn off or something? I found no good sources about it. Even the help of Adobe was quite outdated regarding this... I can't find the menu in their place.

It would be a great big help to me.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jacob,

If you install the version of Hebrew or Arabic, number 8-12 are automatically activated.

I also recommend installing a precious version as CC 2014 as a LTR version if you need only occasionally and your main work in version English.

This way you can easily switch between languages without having to re-install-of.

The first two are similar to radar charts. Please see the documentation on how to use the chart tools.

How to create graphs in Illustrator

Perhaps you might do a third as well, but in case you have another software that can display a vector file then it might be easier to create the data in one Office application, and then save it to PDF format for further editing in Illustrator.

  • InDesign 2014 - handle Arabic text

    Hi all

We are desperately trying to get 2014 CC Indesign to work with an Arabic copy, but have cones through some rather fruity questions.

Using the plain text (copied from text edit), insert the Arabic text (arial font) in a document.

As you will see in the screenshot, the editor of world single line is selected.

But as you'll see also the screenshot - the complete point on the Arabic phrase at the wrong end of the line - must be read to the left.

    Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.39.02.png

This has happened in several files - but we can't find any solution.

Here's another example... the biggest point is set to no differently, but reads it correctly. The smaller print does not work.

    Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.44.36.pngScreen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.44.53.png

Curiously, the Adobe guide using the Arab copy in CC, demonstrate that we have not (indesign CC 2014) of the menu options

It also seems that any type of return (hard or soft) will affect the orientation of the line - so we took them and presto! the line read correctly.

But the full point and put back them in past the end of the line and make the incorrect sentence.

    Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.45.49.pngScreen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.46.01.png

Can someone explain what is happening?

    Thanks in advance

    Everafter13

I do not text RTL, set so I can't really tell you, but I think, since you mention the returns is the direction of history, or the paragraph direction (in the style, if there is a sense of the paragraph - I don't know there). You really need to download the correct version of ID to do this.

  • Adobe Arabic do not call the final form of the Arabic text?

    Hello

I'm creating a journal that is mostly in English, but has an article in Arabic. I use InDesign CS5.5ME and uses Adobe Arabic for the Arabic text 2.006.

I have a situation in which it appears that InDesign reads a diacritical mark in the middle of a Word as an indication that the word has come to an end.

In the screenshot below, you can see that the heh ending at each of these four words is preceded by a dal with one or two diacritics. It seems that the diacritics speaker causes InDesign to assume the word is finished, and it is affecting the heh using its isolated form. What my editor tells me, it's the heh must be set using its final form.

    Screen Shot 2013-07-08 at 4.42.08 PM.png

When I change the police for another font with Arabic characters - say X Davat or Times New Roman - the heh correctly takes its final form.

This leads me to believe that some police - perhaps connected to the diacritic - statement is incorrect. In InDesign settings appear to be correct (otherwise, the problem would appear in other fonts, too). Can anyone else reproduce this problem? Does anyone know if Adobe Arabic 2007 solves this problem (assuming it's a bug)?

    Thanks for any help.

    Thanks for your help, Miguel.

For anyone who has followed this thread, Miguel helped me discover that InDesign was load an earlier version of the police. While I thought that I had loaded v2.006, I actually had not, so InDesign 'found' a version and that in its place. I'm still trying to understand loading where the old version, but now, when I'm sure I have loaded version 2.006, InDesign built correctly the words using the correct characters.

To find out which version of the police has been actually used in my paper, I opened the find font dialog box and clicked on the button more than information - a feature that I had forgotten in the past, but will rely on a lot from that time.

  • Layout in Arabic, Chinese and Russian. Export text from a PDF file

I am exhibitor of long documents in Arabic, Chinese and Russian. The text was provided in PDF format when I copy and paste this in Indesign, it happens like question marks, boxes and other characters having nothing to do with the text I'm trying to layout.  I put the cast on the Arabic Myriad and Arabic dictionary still nothing that resembles Arabic or any other language. Same thing with the Chinese and Russian. Any suggestions on how to get the text from the PDF file where is the language. Appreciate help with this.  Thank you.

    Thanks for the caption, Ellis

Thus, KK: you're in for a world of pain. The intials "WP" at the beginning of these policies means that the text is out of WordPerfect. Make presentations multilingual in WP, it was annoying, but possible. It was developed in the pre-Unicode world where every single method of complex script layout was a dirty hack. If you like dirty nerdy details, I can tell you how it worked, but that it is sufficient to say that attempt to harvest the non-latine-script text of: WP and it reuse for use in InDesign is just pure pain. WordPerfect-specific code pages were never really supported anywhere outside WP.

That being said, I have a script around laying somewhere for the conversion of the WP-Cyrillic in Unicode. (In fact, I think it does Windows CP 1251, but that works as well.) But this is only one of the forty-five languages? And the Chinese has been pixelated? And PDF files were originally generated by Distiller 3? If you have no choice, it is time to leave. If you do not have the choice, I really hope that you charge hourly. My experience in this area (very large) is that it will cost three to five times more to extract the text as it would for a professional translation generate a new key of the text, and and then to have a second professional translation review text rekeyed looking for typos.

Russian OCR is darn good these days, but Chinese OCR is random. I've never seen good Arabic OCR - doesn't mean it's not out there, but I couldn't help you find it.  But the chances that all 45 languages available reliable OCR, and the result of said OCRing will not have to be reviewed by someone who knows the language, are virtually nil.

  • Import and run several text documents in InDesign CS3

I have several files to plain text, where each runs several pages long I want to import into a single document in ID CS3. I want to import them and to make them sink in a framework unique block of text one after the other on several pages. With a single text of several doc page all what I have to do is select the place and hold down the SHIFT key and InDesign adds the necessary pages and run the copy until the end of the doc. However, if I move select the docs and import to try in a text frame by holding down the SHIFT key, it will just flow the first doc in the group without any indication of overset text. I tried to place several docs of text, hold down the shift and command and brings all my docs on the first page, but in the text boxes separated with text in excess for each doc. Is it possible to do this in InDesign or maybe a plugin that can do this?

    Thank you

    Randy

I tried to find it. It was published on 21-04-08 by Peter Kahrel (I can tell because I see on my side of the discussion in my "sent" folder) in response to a post I did called "multiple files". Maybe I'm not the research archives forum correctly, or maybe it was during the time of last year when Adobe was trying (and failing) for updating the forums. In any case, I know at this time as Peter post this for public consumption, so I don't think he's going to mind if I post again:

Copy and paste everything between the lines of hyphen (excluding dash lines) in a text editor and save it with the extension .js and put it in your scripts folder. Should be something like:

    D:\Program Files\Adobe\InDesign CS3\Adobe InDesign CS3\Scripts\Scripts Panel

After the alphabetical order of your files and put them in their own folder, copy the path and run the script. It will make a new folder and place all of your files in a continuous narrative. I don't know how it will work with .txt files.

  • Import of text Arabic, Chinese and Russian

Can someone help me out with this please? I export data from a database to a file .txt using MML. It works fine, except for Arabic, Chinese and Russian language text, which is not supported in a .txt file. If I save the file in Unicode format, then the text in Arabic, Chinese and Russian is maintained, but then when I try to import that FrameMaker, he does not see the Unicode as MML file and therefore will not import it.

Has anyone else encountered a similar problem and may have found a clever way around it please?

Like all tools, there is a bit of a learning curve. However, the user has a guide number of samples that show you how things are are.

There are two paths you can take to treat your data; use either approach purely XML with XSLT to wrap your tags with the appropriate orders of Miramo or use their language of preprocessor macros (mmpp) (a bit like VBscript) use your own tag structure to encapsulate the commands.

The workflow is usually such that data reporing tool is used to create the preliminary tagged output (just like you do now to create text MML files). Then you use XSLT or mmpp (even if you have to write your own code for the latter) to process the output in order to encapsulate the actual orders of Miramo around the content. Then, you run Miramo on the wrapped content. Miramo uses your FM models specified for information of formatting and produces MIF output which feeds on FM to create the final book (and also creates all the files generated FM as the table of contents and Index). Miramo also lets call in scripts (Framescript or Extendscript) or any other API to process the contents of FM in steps specified in the workflow of creating book.

Miramo is an enterprise-level tool that is designed to produce large volumes of content. The Personal Edition is just limited in the number of simultaneous output channels which be treated and requires a user to open each session rather than be sitting on a server and automatically treat the content as it appears in the specified locations.

The latest version allows also you deal directly DITA content (using FM models, you get more esthetic and easier control over the output that you could use the DITA-OT) and also has a new module that produces PDF directly without even using FM.
