Archive maintenance brakes not getting enough cycles CPU

That is the message in the logfile etc on one of my knots in a configuration of two cluster for content server.
12:16:54.480 05.05 (internal) Archive lock Thread maintenance archive is not getting enough cycles CPU.

Should I be concerned, and if that's the case, what is the solution for this problem?

Thank you, Ken

The message says that the system of the content server is on (because of the content server or other applications) is so busy doing either one.) CPU use b.) Too much disk activity (space for Exchange, readers of network files, etc.) that the lock held by a thread "heartbeat" cannot get enough time to keep its lock in a reliable way. The problem is surprisingly easy to create on some systems just by starting a bunch of copies of the great repertoire, while the content server is busy.

A scenario typical where I see that happen is when someone starts a couple of simultaneous batchloads, contained refinery running aggressively and made a lot of check-in. It will also tend to occur more often on load balancing servers. It is usually a good idea to increase some of heartbeat timeouts in balancing environments if the network shared by the server file system is not a file system performance WITHOUT style.

I don't know if you use this variable of the whole (ArchiverDoLocks = true), but here's some information about it:

Set to true if you want to auto imports or transfers with more content server then shares an instance. This option enables an algorithm of locking on files to archive at the file system level. If one instance is automatic imports or transfers in a load-balanced configuration, this indicator should not be set to true.
So I would say that, no, you don't need it if you do not archive on multiple servers

At the end of account, if you do not no matter what archive between multiple nodes you don't need the
ArchiverDoLocks = true - try to remove that and see what happens.

I hope this helps.

  • The CPU is not powerful enough for Oracle database 11g?

    The CPU is not powerful enough for Oracle database 11g?

    I installed the datatase Oracle 11 g on my host by using the default configuration of oracle yesterday. Today, I find some the alert message: "CPU usage is 86,79%, through attention (80) or critical (95) threshold.» The average value of the CPU usage is 80.85% and I have to wait for more than 10 seconds for opening a page of the EM.
    My host is HP workstation xw4200. CPU is 3.4 GHz. No other applications on that host.
    I want to know: what is the main reason for the shortage of CPU resources? Because the database Oracle 11g itself is exhausting CPU or because there are a few configuration issues?

    qkc wrote:
    1 is it true that most of the CPU is exhausted by the EM control tool?

    It's quite possible.

    It is also one of the reasons why we encourage people to drop EM Database Console and switch to EM Grid Control. The burden is then on another server.

    2. why this index has been added in advance by Oracle Corporation? It does not seem that each tool is set up perfectly in advance.

    It was probably not required under ideal conditions, in which it has been designed and tested.

    Why is your environment not identical to the designed conditions that use Oracle? ;-)

  • Demon NTP using a lot of cycles CPU

    My MacBook Pro (early 2011) running OS 10.11.4 fonctionnee hot and slow recently.  I turned on Activity Monitor and ntpd (the demon of time network) is constantly to consume 12 to 15% of cycles CPU.  I found an article on the stack Exchange, who said that if you see activity like this on your NTP daemon, it could be a sign that someone used a DRDoS attack.  They suggested defining the demon NTP to refuse incoming network connections - which I do not know how to do.  (I'm on Mac OS firewall).

    I took a sample of activities ntpd.  It's a little hyperactive beast.  The ratio is about 2 ½ pages long during only a short excerpt.  I can paste the report into this thread if it helps.

    But my real question is: is it normal that ntpd to be so active?  If this sounds abnormal, how can I get the little beast under control?

    In case it will help, here is the report of the sample of activity that the activity monitor took of ntpd.  Of course, it seems that he is busy, if all this has to do is sync with a network time service.

  • Synchronization with Serial read/write problems. can not get the functionality of the terminal emulator

    Hello

    I am writing a VI to control PWM with a microcontroller via a serial port. I wrote a simple code for the microcontroller that allows me to set the ratio of duty cycle on a scale of 0-65535. It works very well with Termite of Compuphase (RS-232 plug); The microcontroller invited me to an entry, expected that I would one, updates and expected another entry when I decided to send him. Now, I'm trying to get the same functionality on a LabVIEW vi but hit a snag.

    When I tried to send my orders with a series read base and an example of writing, everything worked fine. I could see the prompt entry, write an entry and if I was quick enough, check out the update message. Even when I was not fast enough, I was able to check the update by monitoring the PWM pin with a Logic Analyzer. The problem with the basic example, however, is that I need to update the report to aura cyclical ratio, so I went for an example of reading continues writing. The problem I've met; is that I have to switch between reading and writing to make it work. When I do that, either I don't hold write it down long enough and nothing happens, or I get several updates when I switch to reading. Some of these updates don't even match and produce updates to defective upgrades for example; 16000 16000, 16000, 16000, 6000, 600, 60, 16000, 1600, 60, 0, 0, 0, 16000, 60, 0, 0 etc.

    I tried which allows characters of endpoint in the hope that the writing would end at the end and go to reading where he would receive a termination character and wait for me allow writing once again, but nothing helped. I still have to alternate between the two and either get no response on reading several updates of variable accuracy. I tried to remove her allows read/write and their structures of matter in the hope that the loop flow, associated with the characters of endpoint would the case, but then the updates don't register at all. The funny thing is I did a VI like this before with an Arduino and that there not even no need to switch between writing and reading (I'm now using a Board of Freescale FRDM).

    I was also the frequency of timeout errors; Error-1073807339 at VISA Read, reason Possible: VISA Hex 0xBFFF0015. I removed the option to stop the while loop if there is an error so I can run but always pops up an error on the judgment occasionally. Could the problem of synchronization always cause me problems?

    Would appreciate all advice really, I am providing my slightly modified example screws and can provide the code for microcontroller on request, even if it's very simple.

    Thanks in advance, it is
    Yusif Nurizade

    In other words, frankly, a good bad example you according to your code. Also, you have the order of writing and read upside down in your amendment if the instrument requires a command to return something. It should really be using a structure of the event. The structure of the event around a write and read and use a value change event. I have attached a quick change. This mod is still a reading after writing. If necessary, you may have two separate events to write and read.

  • WebLogic 11.1.1.7 could not reserve enough space for lots of things

    This message is for weblogic startup after installing soa suite/weblogic.  When you start Weblogic it fails immediately and you get this message (if you are using windows, the just command window dies, then open a prompt back, cd to the directory of your startWebLogic.cmd and run it from the command line).

    The generated error will be:

    Error occurred during initialization of VM

    Could not reserve enough space for lots of things

    Update:
    The first time I tried this I was in every way because I didn't know which configurations would work. This time, I did only these values, and it worked fine.

    in the setDomainEnv.cmd file

    Changed
    Set XMS_SUN_64BIT = 256
    Set XMS_SUN_32BIT = 256
    Set XMX_SUN_64BIT = 512
    Set XMX_SUN_32BIT = 512
    etc...

    Changed to
    Set XMS_SUN_64BIT = 512
    Set XMS_SUN_32BIT = 512
    Set XMX_SUN_64BIT = 1024
    Set XMX_SUN_32BIT = 1024
    Set XMS_JROCKIT_64BIT = 512
    Set XMS_JROCKIT_32BIT = 512
    Set XMX_JROCKIT_64BIT = 1024
    Set XMX_JROCKIT_32BIT = 1024

    I also commented on the section rolling too these values under section USER_MEM_ARGS

    @REMif is NOT () "% USER_MEM_ARGS %"is.

    @REM set MEM_ARGS = % USER_MEM_ARGS %

    @REM)

    Original post___
    I just installed soa suite 11.1.1.7, but downloaded from the OSB page, if it is different from the SOA download page. I'm on a windows 7 64-bit machine, but installed the 32-bit version.

    I couldn't start weblogic with the setDomainEnv.cmd original settings and found this post Heap Size for weblogic Server

    My original settings where
    Set XMS_SUN_64BIT = 256
    Set XMS_SUN_32BIT = 256
    Set XMX_SUN_64BIT = 512
    Set XMX_SUN_32BIT = 512
    etc...

    That position suggested upping the parameters to 2048. He has not worked for me. Instead, when I finally reduced values to 1024 it worked. (I wasn't clear what parameters must be defined on anything, so I put almost all 1024, although the permsize I read somewhere should be half the other parameters.)

    I was kind of all over the place because there were so many different xmx or xms values, so

    If you make these changes, but when to start weblogic, they do not appear on the first part, then look at commenting on article that refers to USER_MEM_ARGS, which go up the settings too much you can do.

    Here's the result when you run weblogic at Xms2048m-Xmx2048m - XX: CompileThreshold = 8000 - XX: PermSize = 512 m (which didn't work - she also did not work with the original settings).

    Hi Stuart,

    You may be using hardware 32 bit or a 32-bit JDK and therefore the error occurred during initialization of VM
    ERROR: "could not reserve enough space for lots of things.

    If you use a 32-bit with WLS JDK and try to allocate more than 2 GB (or according to the limitations of the operating system: for certain combinations of OS/FMV is greater or less than 2 GB) memory for the java process, allocating memory fails and throws the exception specified.

    If you use a 32-bit JDK, then the following OS limitations exist:

    Windows OS
    32-bit: address space of 4 GB (232-1)
    For the core 2G + 2G for space Application
    1.5 G Max heap size (remaining natives + battery)
    64-bit: address space 16 terabytes
    No limit on the size of the heap

    For all other UNIX machines:
    Linux OS:
    32-bit: address space of 4 GB (232-1)
    1.3 G for nucleus + 2.7 G for space Application
    2.0 G max heap size (remaining natives + battery)
    64-bit: address space 16 terabytes
    No limit on the size of the heap

    SOLARIS:
    32-bit: address space of 4 GB (232-1)
    2.0 g per core + 2.0 G of Application space
    1.5 G Max heap size (remaining natives + battery)
    64-bit: address space 16 terabytes
    No limit on the size of the heap

    AIX:
    32-bit: address space of 4 GB (232-1)
    1.0 G for nucleus + 3.0 G of Application space
    2.4 G max heap size (remaining natives + battery)
    64-bit: address space 16 terabytes
    No limit on the size of the heap

    HP - UX:
    32-bit: address space of 4 GB (232-1)
    0.2 G core + 3.8 G for space Application
    3.0 G max heap size (remaining natives + battery)
    64-bit: address space 16 terabytes
    No limit on the size of the heap

    Also check the available physical memory on the computer. Cannot set the segment size to more than 75% of the available physical memory.

    Here is the Solution to your problem

    Upgrade to a 64 bit JDK.

    OR

    If you cannot upgrade to hardware 64-bit and a 64-bit JDK *, and then set the maximum segment size to one of the following based on the operating system:

    Windows: 1.5 G
    Linux: 2.0 G
    Solaris: 1.5 G
    AIX: 2.4 G
    HP - UX: 3.0 G

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you

  • With the new update my screen is not wide enough for the format. How can I change this?

    After the new update, the display shows only 3/4 of what is presented. I reduced the size of the print and that did not help. For example, typing this, once I had as "present" the due screen move to the left to allow me to see what I was typing. It does this automatically. I don't know what caused it in the latest edition of the update, but he made me a certain number of problems by acting on the Bank of line because no moveable windows do not show enough to allow me to hit the submit button.

    I want to see the whole window when I log onto a site. When I open now Yahoo News, for example, I don't see the last of three inches. I can see them if I hover over the page, but until now, I always saw the entire page when it comes to the top without having to take any action on my part.

    Where can I or how can I do to get it to how she still worked before?

    I opened the learning system and it refers to a tool of Mozilla bar which I did not either. Don't know if it of relevant or not.

    Hello

    Firefox on Windows is now after display, scaling options that can make the biggest text on screens at high resolution. There are several ways to solve this problem. See the Web pages are broad and fuzzy after update of Firefox - how to fix article for a suggestion. Here is another possible solution:

    • Type of topic: config in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key.
    • If the warning that this might void your warranty , click I'll be careful, I promised.
    • Search for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

    • Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to edit its value. The default value is - 1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to run as in previous versions of Firefox.

    If necessary, further adjust the value of 0.1 or 0.05. Values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the elements. Use a value greater than 1.0 to increase the size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase the font size of the 125% to account for the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Check the value that you enter. Definition of a value that is too small will take everything away and too high will explode things.

    If the web pages should always be adjusted so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint .

    To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the extension of theme font & size changer .

    This solve your problems? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • "Clips do not have enough media for the transition?

    I have two clips between which I want to insert a cross fade.  The first clip is 19 seconds long, the second is 16 seconds.

    When I try to put in the transition (I did two seconds of time), I get a message saying "Clips do not have enough media for the transition."  He will accept no transition more than 0.1 seconds.

    It makes no sense to me.  There are a lot of media for the transition time.  Can someone find out who's the problem and a possible solution?  Thank you.

    We have a scanner usb requiring 500mA of power.  However, for many of our clients using HPs, the usb ports do not provide enough power to the scanner causing the application to crash.  Some customers use the HP EliteDesk 800 G1 USDT, others use HP zero client t310.  Connect the scanner to a usb hub powered solves the problem every time.

    Y at - it changes, they can do for the Bus USB controllers to ensure that a particular port will be able to provide 500mA so they did not need to buy a usb powered a system hub?  Or do you have another suggestion?

    Thanks in advance.

    I'm not familiar witht eh models accurate but 500MA is the output for USB 2.0 max but 3.0 can go higher have you tried usingn 3.0 ports if not you can also get a cable Hat uses the power of 2 ports.  Many systems have problems with the only Scanners USB and power supply.

  • iPhone 6s and not get the backup to icloud iOS 9.2

    I bought a new iphone 6 s more on November, however it is not get saved on icloud iOS 9.2, but I am able to pick up on my computer using itunes. I got iphone 4S before that and it was working fine, don't know what's going wrong here. Please notify.

    Welcome to the Apple community.

    Please check that your device is correctly connected to the wireless internet (settings > wifi) and is plugged into a power source, check also that you have enough space in iCloud for your back upward.

    You can check the space available in settings > iCloud > storage and the space needed for the next backup to the settings > iCloud > storage > managing storage > backups > appliance > Back Up Options > next backup size (wait for the spinning until the gear icon).

    Assuming that you are eligible for iCloud upward, you should try a forced first stop, hold down the buttons side in top and home together until the unit stops, then restart by pressing the side/up button.

    Then, try to connect the device to a new location (different WiFi network)

    If your backup continues to fail, you can try to disable the backup on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > BackUp), reboot the device and then turn on BackUp on new.

    If it does not help disable backup again, remove your existing back to the top of the settings > iCloud > storage > managing storage > backup > appliance (scroll down) > delete backup, restart the device and then turn on BackUp.

    If you are unable to make a return to the top, try to connect on iCloud (settings > iCloud (scroll down) > Sign Out (you will need to enter your password at this point), restart the device and sign in iCloud to settings > iCloud.)

    The next thing to try would be to restore your network settings. (Settings > General > reset > reset network settings)

    Reset your network settings will erase your cell phones and wireless network settings, including saved networks, passwords for wifi and VPN settings, that you can use. It will affect to the Internet but will not be an impact on telephone services because these settings are automatically configured by your carrier. It may take a few moments to enter again all your network settings, but it shouldn't cause you any major problems. If you are comfortable re - enter your network settings, you can try this step earlier in the troubleshooting procedure, i.e. after the forced shutdown suggested above.

    If this does not help, try to disable some elements for the back upward in a model to try to establish if your problem is caused by specific data on your device. You can do it with settings > iCloud > storage > managing storage > backup > this device > Back Up Options.

    If you are still not able to perform a backup from iCloud, you can try to restore your phone which you should do by making an iTunes backup via your computer and restore from that.

    Be able to go back to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you have access to a computer or rarely have access to one, however unless you need specifically to use iCloud to go back, you'll find a backup on iTunes much more convenient and possibly more reliable. However if you save up to iTunes be sure to encrypt the back upward if you want to keep your data on health and passwords etc.

  • LabWindows CVI RS-232 is not fast enough

    Hello

    Is it possible to write a C program which takes RS-232 data buffers and prints it on the screen?

    I ask this question because I write a program in LabWindows CVI and the data is not correct. I used SimpleTerm Gold to see what data are supposed to look like, but CVI misses some. I believe it is not fast enough and therefore lack of data.

    A C program (do not use the functions or reminders CVI) would be possible and better?

    Is it possible to make the CVI to work faster? I changed the environmental policy of the previous "do not sleep". There are two ComRdTerm because we're not getting all the other packages.

    Rate 115200 baud, no parity, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit. Most of the data I receive are 313 bytes and the smallest is 17.

    Any help would be MUCH appreciated as I am completely puzzled.
    Thank you

    Code is below.

    OpenComConfig (com, "COM9", 115 200 Baud, 8, 1, 0, 1024, 1024); / /< opens="" serial="" ports="">
    SetComTime (com, 0); / /< sets="" serial="" port="" to="" never="" time="" out="">
    T0 = clock(); / /< calculate="" how="" fast="" comrdterm="" is="">
    bytes_read0 = ComRdTerm (com, & buffer0 [0], 314, 10); / / read com and store it in the buffer
    sprintf (p_check0,"%.4s" & buffer0 [0]);
    T0 = clock() - t0;
    Double time_taken0 = ((double) t0) / CLOCKS_PER_SEC; / / in seconds
    printf("%d\t%f\t%s\n",bytes_read0,time_taken0,&buffer0[0]);
    Memset (buffer0, 0, strlen (buffer0)); / / Clears the buffer

    T1 = clock();
    bytes_read1 = ComRdTerm (com, & buf1 [0], 314, 10);
    sprintf (p_check1,"%.4s" & buffer1 [0]);
    T1 = clock() - t1;
    Double time_taken1 = ((double) t1) / CLOCKS_PER_SEC;
    printf("%d\t%f\t%s\n",bytes_read1,time_taken1,&Buffer1[0]);
    Memset (buf1, 0, strlen (buffer1));

    Thanks for all the help guys. I finally found the solution. The program was running too slow because I kept opening and configure ports (not shown in the code) I simply kept open ports and it works fine.

    I appreciate all the comments and insight. Each of them will definitely help me still to develop with CVI.

    Kind regards

  • IMAQ Vision: The image is not big enough for the operation (Imaq WriteToPNG.vi)

    Hi all

    I was stuck for a few days trying to get my work VI and get this error. It is as simple as to save a graph of intensity as an IMG, he works with JPEG formats but my graph is U16 grayscale and it is not supported by the jpeg format so I didn't get the expected results. Then I went to the PNG format and the error "the image is not big enough for that operation" appeared. I tried to resize as aid error NOR suggest, and got the same error, anyone has an idea on what could be the problem?

    Hello Bob,

    Thanks for the tips, I'll post my code in future issues (since I already solved this one). As you say, there was something wrong with my code, the code in the image actually worked well, but doesn't have the part where I wrote to the variable (the variable was not being written if its value is an array of 0x0, not big enough actually). Thank you!

  • Windows Media Player 11, DVD video, not big enough in fullscreen

    During playback of movies DVD with WMP 11 and in full screen, the video does not stretch to the edge of the screen.

    I have a flat screen monitor set to 1600 x 900. When I entered the mode full screen the video becomes a bit larger, but does not fill the edges of the screen. In other players such as InterWinDVD player or video Media Player Classic DVD of the CCCP play full screen completely to the edges of the screen (except for two black borders on the top and bottom do wide screen of culture).

    However in WMP 11 200% is not big enough. I was wondering if it is possible to get the video to play 300 or 400% in size?

    Here's what I mean:
    http://img44.imageshack.us/i/wmp11problems.jpg/

    Notice how the video area (Pink) is not stretched to fit the vertical edges of the screen.

    I really like WMP 11 due to SRS wow effects. Unfortunately, since the upgrade to a monitor flat screen with a resolution of 1600 x 900 WMP 11 the fact that the culture of the video. Other players I use InterWin DVD or the Media Player Classic CCCP do that mean the culture of the video. I am running Windows XP with SP3.

    Hey Helldiver.

    Check if you have the plug-ins installed to support the features of DVDs on your Media Player. Windows Media Player is a complete DVD player when combined with a DVD decoder (MPEG-2 decoder) with features such as full-screen video playback controls, ads chapter DVD and integrated pouch.

    If you are running Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate, DVD capabilities are included as part of the operating system. If you are running Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista business, or Windows Vista Enterprise, you can enhance your DVD playback experience by purchasing a pack of decoder DVD or upgrade to a more powerful version of Windows Vista.

    Here is a link to the list of plugins that you can install to get the features of full fledge for you DVD:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx

    Try to install these plug-ins and see if you can get the service your DVD playback fullscreen
